Sorry for the pains @poster. How old are you? You can go for multiple myeloma screen( Serum protein electrophoresis, Urinalysis for Bence Jones protein, bone
biopsy and bone marrow aspiration for histological studies, serum calcium and phosphate, CT scan of all affected bones)

I'm in my late 20's. I think I've done some of these test eg urinalysis. Although I can't tell of others. I wish some of my test results were handy... But thank you so much.

I had such once. Mine was caused by chicken that wasnt properly prepared, I contacted a certain bacteria from it that caused one kind yeye arthritis like that. Mine was both my hand joints, my ankles and elbow. Every medicine i was given barely did anything. I later contacted my inlaw who is a MD in UK. He recommended simple Azithromycin and i noticed improvement. Try and talk to a doctor first though, you never can tell. Cheers.

Okay, actually what the retuximab does is lower your immune system, so after I took it I had persistent cough and cartarrh, when I contacted the doctor she recommended that Azithromycin and augmentin but The cough stopped so I thought there was no need for them again. Although I later took the augmentin1g. Maybe I'll try The Azithromycin

Maybe you should consider going on supplements and herbal drugs.

I have. But none seems to work. In fact some even worsened the pains. And doctors warned against it because of the side effects that could be fatal. especially kidney related.

Hi everyone, I'll try to be brief and straight to the point.

Early part of 2020 I noticed that my left wrist was inflamed accompanied with severe pains, I used some hot balm and took some pain reliever to at least nomb the pains, to some extent, it works and I had some considerable relief, and a brief stop.

Only for the pains to radiate to my right wrist, this time the pains was twice as worst as the first, to the extent that I could barely handle a pen. And like a speed of light, most of my joints were writh with unimaginable pains to the point that I could not walk and carry anything, in a twinkle of an eye everything spiral downward,I couldn't continue with my school in my finals o.

Around June/ July I went to university of Port Harcourt teaching hospital (UPTH), several test were carried out including rheumatoid factor that later came out high, and my erythrocyte sedimentation rate ESR was as well very high. I think 16 and 70 in order. So I was placed on *Methotrexate* 10mg for a start and hydroxylchloroquine 400mg with some pain reliever and prednisolone 20mg dly.

I've been very religious with my drugs, but unfortunately improvement wasn't in sight, so the MTX was increased to 25mg wkly and other Disease modifying drug sulphasalazin 1000mg dly was added, making it three DMARDs but still no substantial improvement. So I was given option of going biologic, retuximab infusion was introduced with the promise that it will stop the cells that spread the disease and some other medical benefits. I was to take it within two weeks intervals and the effects will kick in 4 weeks after infused. I took the last infusion on the 22nd December 2021 but till date there's still no positive effect.

I'm still in pains, especially on my knees, feet, shoulders and neck. With some pains in my wrists in fact with the scale of 10 I'll say 7/10. The quality of my life is none existence, I'm almost immobile, depressed, I won't lie, sometimes suicidal, I've lost everything,no More emotions to pull from...

Please I'm asking, because I don't think this is any RA again. I think it might be something else, so I'm I'm asking The doctors and any other person that is medically inclined to help or anyone that knows anyone in similar condition. Please help a soul. I've spent everything I've ever have and work for, my family are almost fading up. Those that know, knows the cost of one retuximab...
Could it be something else wrong with me?

NB: I'm still on those drugs except the sulphasalazin. Although the MTX has been reduced to 10mg wkly. SAVE A SOUL.
