You can praise your state and government without using such statement as "counterparts in other regions". We need to do better with this tribal sh*t especially on public forums such as this and twitter. These need to stop, we should do better.

It is good to 'shame counterparts' which succinctly implies the failure of the citizenry to elect quality leadership.
A while ago (during the OBJ regime I think) there was this series of peer to peer reviews amongst state governments.
I guess the widening developmental gaps between the well ruled and mediocre states put paid to that.
If you observe closely you will have realized that certain states have had average to good leaderships since democracy returned in 1999 while others have managed to elect serial failures to govern irrespective of resources.

After all for every Akwa Ibom there has been a Delta/Bayelsa.
For every Anambra there has been a certain Abia.
For every Kano there has been a Kogi.
And for every Ogun there has been.... of course Lagos.

Others have realised this and managed to improve over time.
Ebonyi, Kaduna, while others such as Cross River and Imo for example have deteriorated markedly.
I think folks up and down this country should be motivated and shamed in equal measures when good things are advertised.
I cannot see why anyone should be offended by this.
If your government is piss poor. Take it on the chin and put up such billboards in your states to shame your goverments into proper action.

For any society to attain it's full potential/development, it must first takes its human development seriously.

If a common man can comfortably feed himself and live in good house, there would be more peace and stability . He will always be willing to give back to society in form of taxes and service, which can be use to create more capital developments.

I quite understand the angle you are coming from. Personally, I have issues with governors in Nigeria only given priority attention to capital development to the exclusion of the human capital development.

In the western clime, emphasis has shifted to human capital element. That is why the parameters for evaluating development is anchored on the satisfaction citizens derive from their government.

But on the flip side, our capital development trajectory as a country is still a far cry when compared to what is obtainable in civilized climes. So to an extent, the actions of governors in paying attention to capital development is somewhat justifiable when viewed from the fact that what we have at present are 19th century infrastructure. And there is need to catch up with civilization.
