Politics / Re: #panamapapers: I Won’t Resign, Senate President, Bukola Saraki Says by kennethokey15(m): 9:18pm On Apr 08, 2016
PDP will be ready to hold firm to the Senate Presidency if Saraki succumbs to resign. The APC have got factions with interests that are not akin. Not surprised because three political parties (ACN, ANPP and CPC) and the New PDP gave birth to it (APC). Saraki can't be trusted by them for teaming up or should I say ganging up with the PDP to win the Senate Presidency. I see him returning to the PDP in the nearest future, the fireworks from the APC camp are really getting hot.

Just a bye stander watching though.
Politics / #panamapapers: I Won’t Resign, Senate President, Bukola Saraki Says by kennethokey15(m): 8:56pm On Apr 08, 2016
Embattled Senate President Bukola Saraki on Friday said he would not yield to growing calls from Nigerians that he should step down amid growing corruption scandals.
Mr. Saraki said those calling for his resignation were being sponsored by politicians who had always opposed his leadership since he emerged Senate President last June,
He added that his detractors were trying to circumvent the country’s judicial system.
Mr. Saraki was responding to a story published by PREMIUM TIMES earlier today, in which the Transition Monitoring Group lend its voice to a growing call for the Senate President’s ouster.
In a text message sent to our reporter by his Special Adviser on Media, Yusuph Olaniyonu, Mr. Saraki said he was not contemplating resignation.
“There’s a case in the Tribunal and a resultant appeal at the Court of Appeal,” the statement said. “The underlining philosophy of our legal system is that an accused person is presumed innocent until found guilty.”
“Those who are contemplating calls for resignation want to circumvent the judicial system. They are obviously being sponsored by some politicians.
“The Senate President is not contemplating any resignation. He will surely have his day in court.”
Since Mr. Saraki was arraigned by the Code of Conduct Tribunal and the PREMIUM TIMES expose about his secret offshore assets in tax havens, the calls for him to step down has continued to mount.
On Thursday, several activists and other Nigerians openly called on the Senate President to resign. They were joined today by the TMG.
PREMIUM TIMES had reported on Monday that Mr. Saraki failed to disclose four assets found to be in his wife’s name offshore, in violation of Nigeria’s code of conduct law.
That revelation came to light following the leak of a trove of internal data from the Panama-based offshore-provider, Mossack Fonseca, obtained by the German newspaper, Süddeutsche Zeitung, and shared by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) with PREMIUM TIMES and over 100 other media partners in 82 countries.
In his response to that publication, Mr. Saraki said the controversial assets belonged to the estate of his wife’s rich and famous family, and that the law did not mandate him to declare such a category of assets.
But PREMIUM TIMES later found that the assets neither belong to Toyin, his wife, nor to her family’s estate. They are clearly Mr. Saraki’s.
According to the new documents retrieved by PREMIUM TIMES from the massive Mossack Fonseca database, the assets in Toyin’s name are actually held in trust for Mr. Saraki, Nigeria’s third most powerful official.

Health / Re: Help : I Underwent Appendectomy, I Haven't Been The Same Again by kennethokey15(m): 10:27pm On Apr 06, 2016
I removed mine in 2009 and ever since, I have never felt unconfortable. I presume that it wasn't done fine. I know a good deal of people that have removed theirs and have never complained of any form of pain. Do the needful by visiting a qualified doctor ASAP because you have left it for too long. All the best, I know you must have been going through a lot.

Men of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences Unit, (Task Force) have recovered N5 million that fell-off  a moving bullion van along Lagos State House of Assembly Complex, Alausa, Ikeja. Chairman of the Lagos State Task Force Superintendent of Police, SO, Olayinka Egbeyemi, disclosed that two Police officers attached to the agency recovered the money. The two officers, Sergeant Ogunbiyi Agbabu and Inspector Eheziekia Abiona, recovered the money which fell of the van when it sped past the agency’s headquarters at Alausa. Fadelex:
the architect is so wrong, the plan I'm seeing will gulp nothing less than 25million to 30million and that is if you're using modest materials. the house seemed too tight for me. why not reduce the number of bedrooms to 8 and add another living room. for certainty sake, you can get a quantity surveyor to do a priced bill of quantities for you

Thank you. I have spoken with a quantity surveyor and he has promised to come around.
Properties / Construction Of A New Residential Family House by kennethokey15(m): 11:03am On Mar 13, 2016
Please my fellow Nairalanders, I will need your humble advice on this. My family intends setting up a new residential family house. It's going to be a duplex and will comprise of twelve rooms (all en suite), one living room, one central kitchen, one store, one visitor's toilet and a pent house. I have gotten the development plan and was told by the Architech that it will cost around 10-12 million naira. I have been getting several views as regards the cost. My cousin who is a student Engineer told me that it is going to cost nothing less than 15 million naira. I sincerely need advice on this in order to tell my family members what the estimated cost will be. I have been puzzled because I am only a tenderfooot in the field of Engineering and Architechture.

Below is the development plan for the proposed house. Thank you in anticipation.

Education / Re: UNICAL Produces 12 First Class As 7,222 Graduate by kennethokey15(m): 7:58pm On Mar 12, 2016
hector:
My alma mata, unical is one of the worst schools on earth when it comes to awarding tangible class of degrees. .... dept is where I graduated from. I shine anyway i go despite graduating with a 2:2. During my MSC program in uniport I did better than many of my colleagues with 2:1. That school is a cesspit for notorious and unrepentant sadists lecturers. They are possessed with the spirit of mediocrity and maintaining unhealthy status quo. Dream killers...Thunder fire Dr Mrs eluwa, prof mrs Ekanem, Dr Mrs akpantah. the three witches in... dept.

This sounds like an Ex College student. These people dey worry like mad. My room mate in Anatomy that year talks about them, most especially Dr. Mrs. Eluwa. God pass them all. Thank God you have testified the difference between a Unical 2:2 graduate and some 2:1 from other schools. #MalabitesAndMalabressesRockEverywhere.

All of you guys complaining that the number of First Class is too small are yet to know about the school (University of Calamity). You are clearly denied the grades you deserve coupled with the sadists moving around as lecturers. The school had just one First Class in its last two convocation. Students read like hell but it does not tell in the results of most. Imagine my department (name withheld) has never produced a First Class. The person that almost did that was clearly robbed and the heavens did not fall. Tried my best to make a First Class but encountered same obstacles. I'm proud of my Alma Mater for broadening my horizon as I have compared my level of knowledge in my field with my colleagues from some schools. #Team2:1 Unical no easy, dare if you can.
