Tension and chaos have broken out in the Owode Onirin area of Lagos after a private school owner reportedly disappeared with examination fees belonging to students, totaling ₦80,000 meant for their West African Examinations Council registrations.

As a result of the proprietor's alleged disappearance, numerous candidates have been left in a desperate situation, unable to write their WAEC examinations after their fees were never remitted to the examination body.

World Bank has restricted its Instagram comment section amid online reactions from Nigerians calling on the organisation to stop lending money to Bola Tinubu following outrage and opposition over plans by the government to secure a fresh $1.25 billion loan facility.
