Submitted My Son's own July 14 (a day after) and medical passed August 3 and eligibility in progress. Both of them will testify in Praise by God's grace

Has your medical been updated (if upfront), if yes, what date? or you are still waiting for medical request?

This is the gcms note of the application I submitted on June 3rd and that was refused on June 23. Please any suggestions on what to do or add in my next application.

Strange that my spouse submitted sameday with you and got refused on same day with you and same insufficient funds reason

I had this similar message in my gcms note (but my parents where my sponsor) my father felt so belittled and angry when he saw the gcms note , he vexed and paid my whole tuition of 17,000cad and transfers a sum of 5 million Naira to my account for upkeep, I attached all this in my new application plus his updated bank statement showing evidence of the new transaction made , the balance was even more than what I submitted in my first applications (we wan show the VO say he does not know what his saying ) I got medical request last week .

Thank you guys. Very good points . Still surprised but hoping the GCMS notes comes out early enough for us to reapply as earliest as possible.

( minors) genuine study visas .
Request for the gcm notes.
Re apply with correct documentations .
He may need a legal custodian there ,
Sponsor also need to show evidence of streams of income to support tution fees .
Seek right counsel from this forum & re apply

The POF is not at all sufficient.

The reason for not approving the visa is justifiable if you look closely into many factors in this application.

Next time, if you tidy up POF among other factors, your chances of getting a positive decision is high.

Sorry about the refusal, you will need to work on the POF, the fact that the course is a 4 year course that is being undertaken by a minor imposes additional financial responsibilities on the sponsor, so these are some of the specific issues
1. You said the sponsor had a lump sum payment of N7mm and that his account has transactions of such amount in that range, and letter of bonus payment was submitted, the question then is, if he has transactions of these nature, how much is his salary?
2. The transaction pattern on the sponsor's account could have confused the VO on the sources of income of the sponsor.

I have been following this thread for a couple of months now.

We got served breakfast for my son's application for the following:

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph R216(1)(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/section-216.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:
• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).
• Pursuant to paragraph 220(b) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to maintain yourself and any family members who are accompanying you during your proposed period of study.

Main Details:
Minor 16+ years
Total POF N21.3m (about CAD62k at the time).
Total Cost: Annual Tuition of CAD17.2k, Living CAD11.5k, Others CAD3k and Flight 3k
4 years course duration

Timeline:
submitted on May 15, 2023 with upfront medical done and passed and refusal came yesterday June 17, 2023.

Main concern: School didn't require tuition deposit and none was paid. A lumpsum of N7.8m entered days before submission but sponsor account has in and outs of that range. letter of bonus payments was provided

Have submitted request for CBSA Gcms note today but timeline is really tight as admission is for Fall 2023.
