You just got to be on eBay almost every day, find what you want on the auction section and set your alarm 5 mins to the end of auction and get ready to bid. Search your specs or select the specs on the left side of ebay, then click the "time:ending soonest"

I sent my personal laptop to Lagos and had to replace it so i made a bid last night and got a cheap replacement for $134 total. Some times you can get it cheaper than that. Pics below.

Tricks,

1. Bid at late night, mid night and early mornings (U.S time, look for auctions ending at this times) less people bidding, less competition.

2. Bid few seconds to the end of auction add at least $10 to what your budget is.

3. Bid when there is a major sports game (NBA, NFL, BOXING ETC, ANY SPORTS PLAYOFF/CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES) going on in the U.S, other bidders will have their eyes glued on there tv and forget to continue their bid.

4. Prepare for your next ebay bid item just in case some crazy bidder over bids on your current bidding, just skip and move on to the next.

5. Be prepared to loose the bid, this way you wouldn't get your feelings hurt when you don't win.

have a good sleep and get good deals from 8-10am nigeria time...3am nigeria time is 7pm usa time..u will have lot of competition by that time..3am is good for china importers
