Agreed. Igbos are stakeholders in the economy of Nigeria, however it amounts to self overestimation to assume that without them the economy will collapse.
You see the economy of any nation is not entirely dependent on trades alone but also investments and every tribe in Nigeria has there fair share of investors. So if every igbos decide to close their shops today and relocate elsewhere trust me it won't take long for non igbos to take over such business I mean it's no brainer to understand that businesses thrive the most where there's a enabling environment not so much about the business owners themselves take for instance the current trade way between China and America, before the trade conflict China thought that the USA will blink first simply because she gives the largest foreign debt to American but we all see who's bleeding the most now.
In truth igbos relocating to the east might cause some problems at first but in no time people will emerge to take the opportunity they left behind

Example... To learn a trade or craft in the West requires much payment from the apprentice's parents or guardian, after the duration you have to save for freedom, that's too costly. But the Igbos don't take a dine from you in the cost of Boyi Boyi period, but pay the apprentice after four years.

The Lagos state police command have launched an investigation into a vile video by a yet-to-be identified Igbo man threatening to kill one Adeyinka Grandson, the campaigner for the creation of Oduduwa republic.



Recall that after the election, there were reports that some thugs in Lagos state attacked the shops of some Igbo men and women for allegedly not voting APC during the elections. The Lagos state police command have however denied this claim.



It is alleged that Adeyinka Grandson said some uncomplimentary things about Ibos residing in Lagos after the election and this caused the Biafran man to reply him with threats.



The Biafra member vowed to haunt Adeyinka Grandson and kill him if anything happens to any Igbo man and woman or their businesses. He threatened that the secessionist group would burn down Lagos if they destroy any property of any Igbo man. He argued that Igbos should be allowed to vote freely if they reside and pay their taxes in Lagos.



Reacting to the threats, the Lagos state police spokesman, Chike Oti, in an interview with The Nation, said the state commissioner of police, Zubairu Muazu, has already directed the intelligence arm of the command to probe the video with a view to obtain credible intelligence that will lead to the arrest and prosecution of the character.

“The command has seen the video. The man in question is automatically a suspect as far as the Lagos Police Command is concerned. Actually, we do not know where he made that video from. We are yet to establish if it was in Nigeria or abroad but investigation will reveal that.

“The Police Commissioner Zubairu Muazu has urged residents to disregard such characters because they are out to cause only mischief. Nigerians are enjoined to take news emanating from questionable sources with a pinch of salt and try to get confirmation on issues of security from the police and relevant agencies. The police commissioner reassures the good people of Lagos that their security is uppermost in the mind of the command. The command will leave no stone unturned to ensure security for all to thrive, irrespective of tribe, religious or ethnic inclination.

“He is appealing to Lagosians with useful information on the character and his ilks to avail the command. The Commissioner has activated intelligence component of the command to look into the video footage and avail us credible intelligence that would lead to the arrest of that character and people like him who are agents of division and propagate hate, inciting messages.

“From available record, the man in the video is not a member of any known Igbo organisation and has never been introduced as spokesman for any known Igbo group. So, the Igbo and Nigerians in general should not take him seriously.” he said

Baba Osoba is another greedy old man...before and during Amosun's 1st term, Osoba held sway...he picked people for virtually all the elective posts under ACN in 2011, Amosun had close to no input whatsoever...he later appointed lots of key commissioners for Amosun...but in the run-up in the 2015 elections, Osoba wanted to play the same game again, but Amosun won't have any of it, hence, they left and failed woefully in SDP.

Tinubu is another greedy man who came from Osun to govern Lagos for 8 yrs, and has being selecting for them since then...he simply want the SW to be under his armpit so that he can have an easy ride to Aso Rock in 2023, but does he really think the Northerners would give someone like him power?

However, Oshiomole is the MAIN CULPRIT in all these wahala...he did his 8 years and handed the State to someone he felt could sustain his legacy...why should he deprive others from doing so? 4 members of Oshimole's family are appointees in Edo, but he castigates Okorocha for doing d same...what manner of a man is that?


Is Amosun in Imo and Ondo? Is Amosun in Zamfara or is Amosun in Rivers...It is obvious that Oshiomole was heavily bribed to sabotage some of these State where some of Tinubu's potential 2023 hindrances are...funny enough, he couldn't even deliver his own State.

The igbos are hardworking and resourceful and should try to overcome ethnic politics as the yorubas have done.They should learn from immigrants from other lands worldwide.The Indians do not trouble their hosts or try to take over their lands.They makw their money quietly and take it back home to develop their own land.That is why India has bwen able to lift herself from poverty.In contrast,the igbos do not develop their own lands.All thwy do is largely to make money from abroad through whichever or whatever means and buy up property which other people have built and then claim they own the land without remembering that they can never hold aboriginal rights to the land in their hands whenever the chips come down.



Meanwhile, their land back home is languid,crying and shouting for investment and development and they begin to talk about marginalisation.Did they not flower and fruit under Obasanjo and Jonathan's administrations? What happened to igbo land in those 16 years that they were not marginalised?What happened to yoruba land in those 16 years that the yorubas were marginalised that yoruba land still continued to be a honey pot for the igbo?
I would go anyday with chief Emeka Anyaoku who looks at the world with universal spectacles.

It is good news that the leaders of the igbos and other nationalities in Nigeria have met with the traditional leaders of the yorubas in Okota and Oshodi areas to avert a backlash in respect of last Saturday's events.As I said earlier,Agbaje and Afenifere are outside the mainstream of yoruba politics They are trying to take control of it.And they have the right to so aspire,being yorubas.What is objectionable to the mainstream yoruba is their attempt to knock the heads of the igbo against the head of the mainstream yorubas.They remind the yorubas of a similar affront by Afonja,the yoruba army commander in Ilorin who was sent there by the Alaafin of Oyo to stop jihadist expansion.Afonja betrayed the Alaafin and invited the jihadists to defend its betrayal.


They did and Afonja triumphed momentarily only to be killed afterwards by the jihadists who took over the land.The perception in Yorubaland today is that the igbo in Lagos especially are the modern jihadists and that Agbaje and Afenifere are the modern Afonjas.This is the underlying perception which ,in my opinion,triggered the surface reaction in Okota last Saturday.The yorubas remain an accomodating people.But they never fail to rise in their defence when they have to,as they did in the 1950s in respect of Dr Azikwe's blatant attempt to usurp their land and as they also did at Ore during the civil war.

Recently MOFE OYATOGUN of STAR 101.5FM radio station in Lagos played her EARLY RUSH SHOW ,a 1952 audio clip of an interview with Ahmadu Bello,Governor of Northern Nigeria.He said unequivocally that the North would not employ igbos in its civil service,because if you gave them an inch,you will not know when they would take a mile.That was way back in 1952,about 67 years ago.Is this not what is still playing out today in South Africa ,Benin Republic ,cote d'ivoire,Ghana,Libya and China,to mention a few countries?


In last Saturday's presidential election,president Mohammed Buhari probably won landslide victories in Northern states because that Ahmadu Bello radio interview clip went viral in that political labdscapr.Peter Obi,an igbo,was vice presidential running mate to Alhaji Abubakar Atiku,a fulani from the North east.It was possible the north still lived in fear of the igbo man as Ahmadu Bello had taught them to do and as they were reminded in that audio clup replay.


In yorubaland,we are a society governed by laws.That is why we have ministries of chieftaincy affairs.All the land in Lagos have owners.Lagos was either a colony or a part of Western Nigeria.But because of the generousity of yorubas and the foresight of their forefathers which made this region the star region in West Africa,the igbos would like the yorubaman to believe that LAGOS IS NO MAN'S LAND.Can anyone say that of Benin without eating his pounded yam as raw yam?


Can the igbos say that of Kano and Jos?The people there know how to make themselves husbands of the mothers of the territorial expansionist.Everywhere on earth,we have seen that territorial expansion ends in chaos.In recent history,we can pin the two world wars to it.What about the war in Liberia between the aborigens and the settled slaves?What about Rwanda?What about Hitler's war on the jews ?What about the liberation wars in South Africa,Zimbabwe and Mozambique.Why did general Idi Amin of Uganda chase away the Asians?Why did Bangladesh separate from India,eritea from Ethiopia and Senegal from SeneGambia?What about the communual clashes over land in Nigeria?Recently,almost 100 fulanis were killed in Kaduna.We cannot forget the zango-kataf problem.

Lagos was developed by Federal government using resources from Niger Delta. They're share holders of Lagos, after all you can't take their oil and still deny them ownership.
