Igbos have been in the corridors of power for a while now but have done absolutely nothing for their region.
Their leaders prefer to share kerosene, build statures and other cosmetic projects yet they turn around to blame Nigerians. Is there any region in Nigeria that is problem free? No.
Which corridor of power? As what... Which capacity?
Igbos are one of the major ethic groups in Nigeria, so... What's the deal.
helinues: Nigerians are setting their house on fire.. Hope you can all relocate and leave inside bush..
How many are the Fulanis that everybody starts tagging them with any crime .
This is unfair to be honest. It is unfair oo
If truly it was Fulanis that abducted them, and you're defending them, may the same fate befall you many times. But may you be exonerated if it's a lie.
Afamed: When you improve on your grammar, I will let you know the year it takes
English error dictator!
If you can't see the mistake in your sentence, "year", cool. But next time, write like this "Year(s), singular or plural can be used depending on the context.
But then, I will advise you sue your English Teacher, for Language misinformation, the punitive verdict will be huge.
Afamed: When you improve on your grammar, I will let you know the year it takes
You're in for a shocker, I challenge you to kindly dictate any error(s) in my first sentence.
Secondly, my use of English language is top-notch, as well as my proficiency. I don't think you've come across the word "Proofread", it is the process of reviewing the final draft of a piece of writing to ensure consistency and accuracy in grammar, spelling, punctuation. I don't Proofread my replies on Nairaland, meaning there's room for error(s), it's not the same editing.
Afamed, I will advise you pick your fight right, because the next time you cross my part, I will leave you words that will revive your ancestors.
Ultimatezlant: Atiefku dey flex our loot for Dubai leave his slaves to dey drink his cumming mandate
People like you will still honor Buhari, a man who declared Abacha as a Saint, who's son Yusuf drives a BMW bike of N50, 000,000 but doesn't work in any company.
mvem: yes the banditry issues in zamfara was an ethnic one and has been there for years but escalated and became something else.....it is nothing new saying the bandits were from the fulani tribe but why castigate a whole tribe because some are engaged in criminality
Because the President make it so. They've committed crimes in various regions, but wouldn't be brought to book like others. Example, after the killing of over 73 people in Benue, can you tell me one person who's being prosecuted on genocide.
Miyette Allah have fighting openly, states that prohibits open grazing.
Atiku and his gang of PDP looters are bent on making Nigeria ungovernable
Thank God we have a general on seat
U can now ambush your enemy in the south east and rush to Facebook to blame it on fulanis
You lack reasoning worth of a 5 year old baby. Yesterday Zamfara State Governor said the bandits were Fulanis, and they've killed over 3500 people since 2015. He's giving them amnesty, and one failed zygote will be typing incoherent terms.
Alexis11: All these mumu up there deriding Yoruba people have short memories or are just indomie generation... Almost all the personalities that led a revolution against the past military governments are from what part of the country a again
I see Kanu as trying to use Sowore to gain relevance and not the other way round.
Which Sowore? This is his first and major shot on national platform towards saving Nigeria, I'm not talking of street protest. Kanu has held this nation for months, so let Sowore try his own.
alonzoiv: Coming from a coward, who abandoned his people and the fake cause he is fighting for, and ran away from the 'ZOO', after the death of some of those same people. Come back to Nigeria and lead your people na. Internet warrior.
Modified: see tribal coward trying to ride on the back of another person to remain relevant and in circulation. The planned revolution has nothing to do with seccesion or break-away.
Does anybody know the name of your father for anything in Nigeria?
BobiNick: If you look carefully, pdp has a very strong cartel in Edo state. Those pdp guys are on point and Edo state not to forget is the only South South state with apc leadership. That is just to tell you that the whole south south governors and in strong ground with pdp just to take over Edo state.
Now Oshiomole might only be trying to fix people he knows will be loyal to the apc in the state parliament like you said, but obviously Obaseki has is own issues now with other stakeholders from his own side who are making Obaseki think Oshiomole is trying to be a Godfather and the end result of this is the fact that it is the handwork of pdp moles within Obaseki's government. If you notice, the pdp chairman of Edo state is a man that always outcries in any given opportunity but has been very silent about all this while because they are waiting patiently and working behind the scene.
Oooh! I think I understand you better now. Party, damn it. Let us focus a bit on quality leadership.
I'm not a Pro-PDP, how can a Governor allow another person constitute Parliament that's not loyal to him? If Oshiomole owns majority of the Parliamentarians, is he not a Godfather, what's the difference between those PDP Godfather?, won't he impeach the Governor if he wishes?
I will give you a good instance, Peter Obi helped Obiano into power, he got there denied him. He (Peter Obi) left him there, and focus on better things without fighting him, to avoid heating up the polity.
BobiNick: You missed the point because we are all looking at one aspect of this Godfatherism issue. What is a Godfather or who is a Godfather? Like I asked someone, if you worked for Dangote and after a while he positions you to set up your own factory somewhere and you start making excess money, would you call him your godfather? Would be always be loyal to him? Even if you become richer than him, what will be your answer to the above questions?
Oshiomole fought a good fight to see how e can end this Godfatherism but don't forget he did not kill them and they are still existing. They are everywhere trying to take advantage of any loose opportunity. His mode of trying to protect what they have fought for so it doesn't go back to what they are against may seen like he is trying to be a godfather.
The major point is that has Obaseki ever gone to meet him to seek advice? Even if he doesn't agree with the advice, is he suppose to stage a war about it like this?
He is a sitting governor and if he doesn't like anything about what his leader wants, he can talk to him personally and ensure it doesn't be of anything like a battle. These things are just normal but obviously power intoxicates and excessive power intoxicates more so that is just all what Nigerian politics is all about.
Please don't make it look like one is a Saint. Oshiomole wants to control the state parliament, thereby controlling Governor giant proxy. That's the fight. Obaseki is fighting dirty too, why should Oshiomole want to control state Parliament if not Godfatherism.
I'm not holding brief for Obaseki, but the truth be told, Oshiomole is same with Saraki, Tinubu and Ikpeazu they're all thieves.
BobiNick: This is sad but makes sense. Many might not see the truth and condemn Oshiomole, but truly this is politicians for you. Oshiomole fought so hard to ensure the end of pdp in the state after their terrible years of ruling. For anyone in Edo state to boldly come out and say Oshiomole did nothing in Edo state, I believe that person needs a mental check or maybe that person is an indomie generation kid.
Many see Oshiomole as someone who wants to be a Godfather, but if you look deeply that is not his agenda. He is only trying to protect what has been planned to work for the country because we all forget that the oppositions are never sleeping till they regain power.
Obaseki might be doing well as a governor in Edo but he is being ungrateful for forgetting how he got into that sit. Trying to follow the instructions from a past governor of the same state who fought tirelessly to bring you to power is nothing to do with Godfatherism.
There are issues that can be sorted out without the media and so when it gets out to the media you know that there is already a dispute. That dispute is being sponsored by the opposition or the moles of the opposition who want to take advantage of the situation and that is the direction Obaseki has chosen to follow.
We all think it will end well with him if he continues like this but we forget that those who laboured to put one in power and knew exactly how they did it can still do it again especially when they are still in powerful position. Don't also forget that the normal citizens who really vote care less about who would take power because during elections they only focus on the money being shared and even after that, these results don't count as victory because we all know the story and how every politician that looses an election will run to tribunal.
Obaseki should better wake up now because as long as he is in Apc he can't defeat them in this way and the worse mistake he will ever make is the assumption that the doors of pdp is open.
This is why an average Igbo man hates you guys. You preached against Godfatherism during Saraki, today... You're supporting it same thing you preached against. Why should Obaseki be loyal to Oshiomole against the interest of the state?
Is Obaseki's loyalty meant to be with the people, or Oshiomole? May God help us. Oshiomole fought Godfatherism in Edo, now he wants to be one. Who takes the blame if things go wrong, Oshiomole or the present Governor? Please be honest, and not partisan.
Bighead9: I'll post Screenshots of Crime news that emanated from the East or done by an Igbo man elsewhere. This Screenshots that I'll post, were posted within the last one hour. I can assure you that, there are hundreds of crimes that were perpetrated by your people today alone.
The last screenshot is that of an Igbo man who has been terrorising Nigerians as a bandit.
Sir... I asked you to show that there's prevalent rate of crime in the East comparable to other states.
I can post many years of crime from NBC, showing you that your states are higher in crime. Butt I will prefer you show the world that Eastern Nigeria has higher crime rate when compared to other states.
Bighead9: Biafra would've been a jungle by now. Cause of the high numbers of Drug pushers, Armed Robbers, Ritualist, Kidnappers, Baby factories, Prostitution, Fake everything, Scammers e.t.c Only the strongest would've been able to survive in Biafra. Libya would've been a Child's play compared to the unrest and Terrorism in Biafra.
I challenge you to show crime statistics from NBS since the last 15 years, showing Eastern Nigeria leading in any crime.
