For God's sake what is our leadership doing? Wtf is this?

Why are we so quick to just submit our negotiating power to just about anybody in exchange for nothing?

What has Mrs Ward done concretely on the ground for Biafran progress to earn this unanimous endorsement? This is why Yoruba say we are a confused people. This is confusion big time. If this woman go on air tomorrow and give support to Buhari or Tinubu then we will say she betray us. We bring problem for ourself. I dont understand it.
it is pertinent that you do a basic research about a claim before making an opinion. Mrs ward, was courageous to read out a comprehensive report on the unlawful incarceration of the IPOB leader worldwide ,Nnamdi KANU and two others before the European Parliament.

NewNigeriaMind:

Please educate us, how are we destroying your property at your home. How many Yorubas are in the SE to start with, what is the ratio of Yorubas in the SE compared to the igbos in the SW? A reasonable estimate will be for every Yoruba that losses his way to the SE, there are 10,000 EQUIVALENT igbos that found their way to the SW. what is the ratio of mass transit buses such as izuchukwu, young shall grow, ekenedilichukwu, peace mass transit to mention a few, dropping off igbos day in day out in the SW compared to very few Yorubas that wander to the SE? So who is really doing the destroying of the other persons land/property? The answer to these question will put things in better perspective for you.

Secondly, i have been to Onne port in PH and lived on Intels Camp. For a fact, the ports in Rivers are closer to the SE than the SW, why are igbo importers not using these ports? Also, on Oil companies, astute business men always put their money and capital where they feel safe and they know their investment is safe. Do you know how much funds we budget to ensure safety in the Lagos-Ogun axis every year. Do you see Yorubas turn to militants and kidnappers of foreigners? No. The answer is a capital NO. because we understand the importance of having a friendly investment environment that people from all race and tribe will feel safe investing their capital without fear. Most of these oil firms relocated back to Lagos in the last decade due to the rampant kidnapping and killing of expatriates in the SS and SE. Why the Bleep do you think dangote is investing billions in a refinery in Lagos? its is called investment friendly environment. No militants, no OPC, no disturbances, no kidnappers etc.

Even your rich tribesmen feel safer in the SW than the SE. this is a fact and its undisputed grin

The Onne port is not designed so well like the federal government did that of Lagos to receive all ships. Not all ships can dock at Onne ,the federal government over the years because of unreasonable and wicked and selfish political reasons made it so.If not why would a sane person import via Lagos other than his backyard.

That is why the outcry for self determination is loader than ever in recent times and those benefiting from this cheating political arrangements are happy and mentioning all manner of vises as reasons for the imbalance .it remains clear that nothing lasts forever.

Pentagon, Joint Chiefs, Homeland Security were not consulted before emperor baby fists swung into motion, now he has left poo for them to clean up... Frantic efforts are already being made to get waivers for people from these countries acting as spies & translators for them....

In all of this, it speaks loudly that Saudi (Terrorist.com) UAE, Qatar and co haven't been included.... Business/ PROFIT over EVERYTHING ..., Trump really echoes the sentiments held by some peeps...

There is no way this won't be blocked!!! No way!!

Common sense is lacking in this nonsense you posted. I know life for you guys only started with the creation of nairaland otherwise if indeed you were alive or articulate before 2005, you would have known that Yoruba have always been at the forefront of agitation for regionalism, resource control and self determination.

When did you and PDP start loving regionalism? Or you think the same gworo chewing Fulani you will queue behind in 2019 will be different from buhari and will suddenly grant you biabia in 2019? cheesy

Concerning 2019, democracy will be 20 years old by then and out of those 20 years, Yoruba has been president for 8 and VP for 4. What more can we possibly ask for in a nation of over 300 tribes? Abeg keep your presidency, we've had enough. I'd rather have projects than appointments cheesy

Fvck APC and buhari my dear. Yoruba destiny isn't tied to them the way your biabia destiny is tied to the Hausa/Fulani owned PDP cheesy

Imagine a man fighting for Biafra still trying to die on top PDP/APC matter? Don't you guys think? cheesy
The way you rap points to the fact that you are scare of the strong agitation for self determination. Before you cry us a river, ask yourselves if the entity you boast of haven ruled for eight years and being v.p to Fulani president is worth more than ordinary little Ghana in economic, education, jobs, electricity, security political stability and other terms.looking at your statement, it is clear that all of you calling yourselves Nigerians hate yourselves and are deeply divided along ethno religious lines and as such can not stand as a strong country hence Kenya and Ethiopia command more respect than Nigerian.

Politics / Re: Igbo's The Hope Of Nigeria Wake Up!!! by kettle84(m): 7:55pm On Jan 23, 2017
fabre4:
In recent times, there has been a call for secession by IPOB. But this has been resisted by Nigeria and has also produced bloody protest. There is a saying that "give the dog a bad name and hang him" since it is perceived that all members of IPOB are south easterners there has been some form of renewed hatred towards the south easterners or anyone sharing an opinion similar to theirs or sympathetic to the Igbo's.

While I share the same school of thought with General Gowon that Igbo's have been wronged, I don't believe in the secessionist idea and here is why

1) Nnamdi Azikiwe was a founding father of Nigeria and therefore it means we have a birthright as one of the first tribes in Nigeria and we can be better in Nigeria if only we exploit this opportunity or privilege through the right channel. And believe me if we continue in this part of downward spiral in no time the ijaws would over take us and make no mistake of thinking they are with us.

2)Since the war ended for more than 45 years we have been dwelling on biafra but the truth is we are just in a merry go round without a meaningful progress. Can u imagine someone called to negotiate biafran secession ripping people off by printing biafran passports and selling it to illiterate and the gullible. This shows that the fight for their belly not their country. Even Ojukwu couldn't continue the fight he created a party in Nigeria and contested for presidency cos he understood that the concept of Biafra was dead

3)Southeast is landlocked and an igbos are business people mainly involved in importation how would you transport your goods or import them . I purposely refused to include south South state in Biafra cos its obvious they won't secede reason being that they know they will fight another civil war with Igbo's only to breakout let us .

4) marginalization: Our we marginalizing ourselves out of Nigeria or are the Yoruba's marginalizing us or is it the Hausa's nepotism? one irrefutable fact is that Nigeria has diverse ethnic group and they will always favor their own so how then do we survive ? Go to the ants and learn its ways simple. what makes Hausa's or Yoruba more successful in Nigeria is Unity. But southeast are too divided to even take a unanimous decision regardless of our party we would rather be servants to money and closed minded due our ethno-religious believe. its time for us to wake up and realise that the devil you know is better than the angel you don't . Everyone is using Biafra as an excuse for their failure let me remind you that upon secession the rich will still be the rich and the poor the poor which will lead to another chain of excuses.

4) Hausa's have the population and politicians, Yoruba's have the scholars, Igbo's have the businessmen and also we have money .Igbos are naturally adventurous so imagine if we used our resources for technological advancement higher than the government level and give our research scientists the required help to make make giant strides in in technology rather than spending those capital in the Diaspora we would make ourselves needed and useful and of course other tribes would run to us for help . When I look at the the kind of innovation that took place during the biafran war I wonder how has the mighty fallen. we can be the tech giants of Africa only if we can spend more on our people reminds of Nazi and Hitler and how he grew with the help of scientist.

in conclusion Igbo's have never been good politians because of their plain and emotional ideologies its left for us to unite and show we are bosses where it matters most technology cause that determines who is who in this century and not who is in power this is why I say that we are the hope of Nigeria and some may envy us for our ability to thrive independently. On the other hand in politics irrespective of our party always fight for the furtherance of Igbo and south east and remember there is no Islamic party if Igbo's flood into APC today it will never be regarded as an islamic party again.

long live the Igbo nation.

long live Nigeria

cc. lalasticlala mynd44
After the civil war ,igbos embraced Nigeria .what did igbos got from it ,hate ,hate upon hate from Nigerians. They vowed that an igbo will never be president. they hated Godluck because he embraced igbos.Do you know why Yorubas don't like their brother OBJ and would never say anything good of him ?its is simply because of his inclusion of igbos in his government.
They are happy with Buhari because of his nepotism and bigotry against igbos. After 40yrs after the civil war what did igbos get from government, bad roads, lack of railways, infrastructure and the only government presence is check points of customs and police after every 2Km on all Eastern roads.igbos have evaluated and realized that they are in a grave danger surrounded by enemies.
