You can use lasota .....check if they have avinew lasota.....it will help

kevin96. mercylicious. What I heard was that Agrited Broiler DOC grow very fast. However, I've never heard any testimony as to how well the Pullet DOC perform. evening poultry farmers, my kayers(214) have been laying btw 80 & 90 eggs per day for d past 3weeks. they are 39weeks already and I feel their production level should have increased. what am I not doing right pls?

I have read a lot about biosecurity and we intend to practicalise it as much as possible. We have in place a footbath & other controls.

I have been suported by a mentor (he has provided guidance, contacts, networks all the way), he is standing by us.

Is there any specific thing we need to do pertaining to the arrival of the pullet?

And in regards d arrival of your pullets..get d brooding house ready....and i think u should tell us wat and wat u VE put in place so we know if sumtin is missing.

I can see d zeal u took in building this pen and what it most VE cost u......pls don't relent, don't be tired in providing good management and wonderful biosecurity to ur farm.those are d keys u need to succed.. And put God as number 1.

Yes dey are antibiotics ..... But I did mentioned neoceryl and gumbocine for d control of ncd and I also mentioned embazin forte for cocci.
What are u treating ?

Those birds are from zartech.....and dey were fed with galdus(pre starter)in d first 7days before feeding dem with my own formulated starter with KBC concentrate. And at day 12 i normally placed my broilers on anticocidial drugs. I left u some questions on d other thread.....pls answer dem.

How many are they? And how many feeds are u giving dem daily? Were did u got them? And wen last did u treat cocci? Sometimes cocci might be there but u might not even notice bloody droppings?

i jst noticed that my broiler chicks were laggin behind in terms of growth or body size compared to other chicks of dsame age (4wks) from dsame source- zartech. I use vitafeed broiler starter n sometimes use vitalyte for a few days in a wk. The chicks were recently down wit gumboro bt they've bounced back,thanks to eggcelent,davizfarms,farmtech n kevin96 (very great guys). Pls i need info/advice on how achive my target wieght of 1.5-2kg. I intend disposin them at 8 wks,they will five wks by thurs. Thanks.

What brand of feed are u using ? And how is there health? Any sign of cocci?

I have two rooms in my pen and about 500birds in each, I will dilute 1000 doses in each big paint container after I have mixed it with cowbell, is the lazota doses too much? ..sometimes there is spillage from the dilution and just clean it up.

Lasota vaccine can also turn into a dreadful NCD if not applied carefully ....I think dis is wat ur case has turn into....... D deed has been done now it is time to give solutions.
For me I will advice u treat this birds with neoceryl and gumbocine for 5-6days. Then u placed dem on a good vitamin ..eg amin total , or biovitastress or any other good vitamin dat is high in amino acid. Use this vitamin for 2days ......the immune system of dis birds are down....so dis treatment and d vitamins will help dem gain back their immune system. Then after d vitamin..u will VE to repeat d lasota..

And to my boss @eggcelent please kindly contribute to dis...ASAP..so DAT dis guy can have a relief .

@ kevin96, I eventually consulted a vet on Thursday, did pm of d dead bird and u were right, he sad it was "mild newcastle" nd cholera, he treated dem on friday nd they re doing fine now. I also changed dia litters didnt knw it was due for change till d vet came around. thanks and God bless

Fish farming is expensive and is less risky.
But with 300k u can venture into poultry (broilers business) but it is very risky. But more profitable

yes use the gumbocine and neoceryl together.. Use it according to the usage instruction so that it might be effective...goodluck

I av 246 and they re 22weeks, I get 35eggs a fay. I had 37yesterday, I experienced shelless eggs last week, 2 bt av nt experienced lately. d size are ok,nt too big though.

okay place dem on neoceryl with gumbocine for five days. Then after which u give dem vitamin for a day before doing ur lasota. They are going to be fine.

I did lasota last 6weeks, was suppose to do it dis week bt cant vaccinate since some are sick, don't know lab in ib to do pm, went to animal care bt they dont do test.

i think ur birds are down with newcastle...before i tell u wat to do pls answer this question....

they ar sick, for d past one week I will meet at least one or two lying helpless after isolating dem, nd giving dem drug dey become normal, bt it is reoccurring even met one dead dis morning. av dewormed dem already.

wen was d last time u gave dem vaccince and wat vaccine was it? Are you doing ur lasota regularly? What drugs have u been using on the sick ones? Are u close to a vet? I will advise u take one dead one for PM.

please if at all u want to use an antibiotics for laying birds , it is either u add vitamins to it or better use the ones that has vitamins....eg neotreat, neoceryl, keproceryl, neo oxy egg formula etc

I have finally made up my mind to invest in poultry in a rented pen. I intend to do broilers 5-7wks old. I intend to run strictly as biz. I intend to do batches of 1000 at 6wks.

How profitable is this venture

I am in benin too, maybe we can discuss about this facially but meanwhile the cost of raising a broiler from day old to seven weeks should not be more than 600naira and you can get 2.5kg above and 1.8 -2kg is sure after dressing . I also tink there is good market for it.I know more about broilers, i have been into it for sometime now....but i have not started the 7weeks thing , although i am planing on it...... You said u are starting with 1000 birds, is that not too much? i will advise u start it on a low key..

Raising 500 pullets till pol will cost u 500k..this includes all vaccines, medication, feeds and buying of the doc..

Automatic battery cages will cost u about 400k while the manual type will cost u 250k , all for 500 birds space.

Great farmers my poultry waste is causing serious problem in my area now that people want me to leave the place because of the smell of the waste, please fellow nairaladers is there any chemical i can put on the waste that will not make it smell much and also that will reduce or suppress the maggot.

Pls go get larvacide .....mix one pack to 500kg of feed.....ur litters will be okay
