Watching the clip again, the only moment I wasn't really okay with Tosin's decision was at 1.57 when he should have passed but instead of doing that, he kept on running with the ball and eventually when he made his pass, it was cut off.

Other times, he either didn't have any options besides him hence the need to evade the opponent or he would rather combine with his team mates in the middle than on the wing. He only combined with his team mates on the wing on few occasions they were close to the opposition goal post, for example, at 5.11 and when he combined with Chong at 5.04. At times, he would go down the touchline and cut back or make a cross.

But from what I saw him play in one u23 match, his movement and awareness were top notch. That was what drew him to me in the first place apart from his technical skill. The only thing I don't know is his vision, no doubt he created some chances as seen in the clip but I need to know how good is his throughball and vertical passes.

Isn't technical enough? Did you watch the clip at all? He doesn't even use his strength to protect the ball sef. Watch 2.13, 2.08, 3.01 in the clip and you would note it was just his first touch and control that left out two opponents on the go. Tosin is even a short player sef and isn't massive, so where's the strength? His touch and control are his best attributes..

And i don't see him making many poor decision considering he was often deployed as an inverted wing midfielder hence the need to drift inside and combine with the players in the middle or go down the wing as a wide midfielder which he did many times. Many times, I didn't even see his teammates providing option for him like in 0.56, 3.43.

I want you to see 3.57 keenly, the moment he looked up and wanted to pass to the player beside him, he noticed the opposition players crowding the right side hence he had to change his route and pass to the left side. That's the intelligence I was talking about.

My problem with his decision was only on few occasions but most of these few moments was when he would rather combine with the players in the middle than on the wing. Maybe that was the instruction, I really don't know.

I can see OGS is trying to deploy Monaco/France counter attacking 442 set up which is good but he has got the wrong personals for the role.

First, Pogba should be playing in the midfield because his long ball is needed to release the wing forwards like he did at the word cup or Fabinho did at Monaco.However we would need a combative midfielder such as bakayoko or Kante to complement him. I think Herrera or Mctominay should do the job.

Apart from the fact that we would require Pogba's long ball in midfield, Pogba can't operate as an inverted midfielder on the wing. He's not that intelligent nor has got the movement to operate as Bernardo Silva or Mathuidi did on the wing. Tosin kehinde would have been perfect fit for this inverted midfield role on the wing. If Pogba is to be deployed on the wing, he should operate as a wide midfielder on the right wing, not an inverted midfielder on the left wing. Anyway, there's no reason to deploy him on the wing because the 442 setup would require Pogba's long passes in the midfield for it to work.

The wingforward would have to be someone who is pacy as well as good at crossing. Rashford is the perfect man for this, not Dalot. Rashford should be deployed on the right wing.

As for the inverted midfield role which would help to provide more number in the midfield, I think Fred should be deployed but the problem is he's left footed and would need to be deployed on the right wing to make it work. I really don't know if he can operate on the left wing.

Obviously, the two strikers would be Lukaku and Martial.

Our fullbacks would also need to be defensively solid especially on the right side because Rashford wouldn't be required to constantly defend as he would need to stay high up on the pitch. The combative midfielder would need to spread out to cover the right side whenever the right wing forward couldn't rush back to defend. The full backz would also need to be good attacking wise to support the attack, especially on the left wing, on which an inverted midfielder would be deployed.

Why analysing the video below, I realise that Tosin Kehinde is two footed, has impeccable first touch and control but the most unique is his uncanny ability to create space and time on the ball everytime he's under pressure, similar to how Xavi operate. And I'm not talking of the way some players take on opposition players just to run into more crowds thereby stifle the little abailable space the more, like Pogba always seems to do. What I'm saying is the way Tosin's turns/agility seems to create more space within a twinkle of eyes of being under pressure. Like he has all the time in the world even when he was just under pressure a few moments ago.

If you watch at 1.24, 1.30, 2.06, 2.34, 3.01, 3.57 of the clip below, you would get what I'm saying.

His movement is also good and seem to know where to always be at all times eg, 3.26, 4.42, 5.14 of the clip.

The only cons in the clip is his tendency to hold on too long on the ball even when there are available team mates besides him such as 1.36, 1.57, 4.31 of the clip but often times, he shows great awareness and pick up his teammates within seconds after wriggling out of pressure eg 4.16, 4.35, 4.42, 4.51, 5.03, 5.14. I'm not fazed by it because the first thing I noticed when I saw him play in one u23 performance was his movement and quick simple passes to his teammates to quicken the play. He was more like a superior "Lingard" kind of player.


Also, His passes in the clip are not many enough to gauge his passing ability and through balls. Hence, I'm on the fence on this. His shots are also weak. He doesn't seem to put more power behind it and at times. Also, he's reluctant to shoot. Anyway, he's young and can improve on these. Thunder fire Mourinho.
