Koffee ousted Julian Marley's As I Am; The Final Battle: Sly & Robbie vs Roots Radics by Sly & Robbie; Mass Manipulation by Steel Pulse; and More Work To Be Done by Third World in securing the coveted award.
In a brief acceptance speech, Koffee thanked her fellow nominees for "the input they made in the Reggae industry", and ended by saying "...this one is for all of us, this one is for Reggae, this one is for Jamaica".

With popular hits like Toast, Rapture, and W, Koffee ― whose real name is Mikayla Simpson ― has definitely "come in like a Rapture", and have fast become a force in the music industry.

I'm totally against the abuses and all perpetrated by the reverred musician but I opine thus:All those folks were benefitting from him all those years and kept quiet. Now, they aren't getting those benefits anymore and they saw how the Cosby affair went so they congregated and made a video out of it and are now playing the victim.If they're as honest as they claim to be, they should have sacrificed those benefits and spoken up right away. Secondly, I daresay that it's the parent's fault when a minor is exposed to abuse in such a manner.Anyways, I still got respect for the king of Rnb, I only wonder how he managed to look past all the matured folk who would do anything to spend one night with him and settle for high school kids.

I am not against competition. However, it is important for Omotala to note that those things she listed are trash compared to human to human relations.

When late Dora Akunyili was down with an ailment, the several award plaques on show in her office were useless to her. She desired and got comfort from family, friends, associates and fans - human beings. It is totally wrong to place "a piece of polished wood with a scrap of shiny metal" on higher pedestal than a relationship with a fellow human being.

It is alright to disagree. You can't be friends with everyone. However, when you disagree or quarrel, it is important to make effort for forgiveness and reconciliation than sitting on a high horse.

I don't think you're looking at the bigger picture here. Personally, I feel all these bloggers are stupid and are just using unnecessary clickbaits to cause quarrels everywhere. How is posting her achievements related to Genevieve and Lionhearted? And if she is actually posting this is relation to her, why should she congratulate her when she wasn't congratulated herself for her numerous achievements? When she got inducted into the Academy as probably the first Nigerian female, did Genevieve congratulate her? This is just stupid honestly.

Omotola owes no one any congratulations. Everyone should prosper on their own. Oti tan.
