Good afternoon,

Once the National Visa Center has received all documents and fees, they work with the U.S. consulate to schedule the interview. NVC schedules these appointments one month in advance. Most appointments are set within 60 days of NVC receipt of all requested documentation, although this is not guaranteed. You will receive an invitation letter for your interview to notify you of the date, time, and location of the interview.

I was told that my approved petition will be sent to my consulate by NVC...please will I be scheduled for an interview immediately it arrives?.. I'm an I r2 (petitioned by my dad, a US citizen )
I'm asking Coz I heard ir2 cases are usually faster..
And in regards to relationship with petitioner..other than photographs, are there other simple evidences that could be provided if there's no joint photograph to show ??

Not disputing that but I did mine b4 my interview like 4years b4 sef. It was used for my uscis process.

wow. That will take like another 2 months. I too went thru that DNA ish but that was even b4 I had my interview. Good luck.

Hello, sorry for the late response. After the approval, it will take about 2-3 weeks to get an e-mail from your local embassy with a list of interview requirements. The email may be sent to you, or your fiance, you should both keep checking. After you receive the email, you can schedule an interview appointment and do your medical examination. You will fill a form Ds 160, have 5 passport photographs, birth certificate, police clearance certificate.
