obaataaokpaewu: The same Rochas will still demolish these statues if he wants to widen the road
Screenshot of my conversation of my friend, a Rochas fan especially in his first tenure
Very correct. All the walls he erected at some government offices were demolished during the widening of roads to make way for his so called urban renewal programme.
The young Ooni is a man on the move, no dulling. He has added colour and charisma to the stool. As a matter of fact, he has 'revolutionized' that institution.
bigtt76: Instead of bringing directly to Zuma's notice, the incessant killing of Nigerians in that country especially igbos, they're giving him title. Why is Rochas hosting Zuma with public funds and using that opportunity to sign personal deals? Nigerians need to hold these politicians accountable.
House Assembly is non-existent in Imo State. Jacob Zuma will never use public funds to host any dignitary on a private commercial visit as Okorochas has done. He will be held accountable by his party and government prosecutors. Recently, he was made to repay the state's money he used in renovating his personal building. In 2005, former President Thabo Mbeki sacked him as his deputy due to corruption.
President Jacob Zuma is to face 783 counts of corruption charges back home in South Africa, yet he is being celebrated in Imo State while on a visit that bears no relevance or of economic value to the State. The resources of Imo State is being squandered on a weekly basis now to attend to the fantasies of a corrupt and greedy governor. The other week, the 'emperor' of Imo State celebrated his birthday for seven days, with Ghana's President and Obasanjo in attendance. Must have cost the state a fortune, yet pensioners and civil servants are owed arrears of their pension and salaries respectively while the state capital, suburbs and neighbouring towns lies in ruin due to unending road construction and demolition of houses and markets respectively. This man has made Imo State a permanent construction site, unfortunately! And these two days, the state's resources has once more being frittered away to entertain one of the most controversial and corrupt African Presidents, with Obasanjo again in attendance! What a State where the citizens are oppressed by one man without let or hindrance but nonetheless, this man who presides over her affairs today will certainly get his commeupance when the time is due. That is the consolation of Imolites.
iswallker: Fools, he was not demoted. The anticipatory approval was not granted so he reverts to substantive position he occupied.
Is that not simple enough......
In any event, a DCP cannot be CP of any State in Nigeria. With this reversion, the dude in question ceases to be CP of Lagos State. The so called Police high command is only blowing hot air. And they know it.
Alexkene: Buhari's regime is very lawless. The PSC has the final say and the IGP has no power to appoint any senior officer without the approval of the PSC! So since the PSC did not approve the appointment, they should revert back to their original ranks.
GoggleB: What was his offense for PSC to demote him too
I do not think he was demoted. Police got it all wrong. The dude is not a CP yet but a DCP. He is only an Ag. CP, Lagos State. PSC, in their wisdom, did not deem it necessary to confirm him as a CP.
meforyou1: Nigeria police is such a funny organisation. So a body has the power to promote but not to demote. If I were PSC, I wound promote any Nigerian policeman for the next 10 years
I was wondering too. How can a body have the powers to promote but cannot demote? It doesn't make sense. PSC may need to seek judicial interpretation of their functions.
Kiakia: Even in the so called Kwara, power supply may not be as wide spread as he is making Nigerians to believe. Probably only a section or particular area of Kwara enjoy this 'uninterrupted' power supply.
delugajackson: Speak for yourself, bro. Because you've had it good doesn't mean others are doing the same.
Kwara is not the only state in Nigeria, so I don't see why you should give him an overall performance in the power sector.

I wasnt serious about the last mention..buh very serious about the improvement un power supply here. I am no kid..hav seen many administrations and can judge by them that this is far better.
Far better as in the supposed improvement in power supply? Maybe you have forgotten, but the current Minister of Power boasted during the Jonathan years that supplying electricity to Nigerians on 24 hour basis ain't no rocket science. Now, he has been saddled with the responsibility to make good his boast and all we see is darkness everywhere. Did you say improved? Really?
Protest means nothing to that governor who lost his conscience years ago. Waste of time. To that man, he will rule forever not knowing that power is ephemeral.
This year, he used state resources to celebrate his birthday for seven days. Let us see how many days he will celebrate this same birthday in September, 2018.
naptu2: The Super Eagles, led by Ogenyi Onazi, Ahmed Musa and Ikechukwu Ezenwa, celebrated their victory over Zambia yesterday by pouring water on John Mikel Obi while singing
They should not over celebrate oo. The team only qualified to play in the World Cup and not that they won the World Cup itself. Enough already! Even though they still have to play Algeria in November but it is time to go back to the drawing board to perfect a winning formular, or at least, an impressive outing at the mundial.
Google is your friend. The dude released not just that one hit wonder. He started singing from his Oguta home then, and later migrated to Lagos where he exploded into national limelight by wearing all those belts and rings to promote his music. After 35 years on the entertainment scene, the guy is still relevant. Not an easy thing to accomplish. Now, his new movement have even thrust him more into national reckoning! He is a showbiz man to the core.
Bolustical: Later some people from the red mud republic will be saying Northerners are the only problems of this country. Here is a Senator condemning his co-southerner for exposing corruption in Nigeria money machine.
How else should the Minister have acted? It is very sad this gibberish is coming from not just a senator from the south but one from an oil producing state.
The dumb senator is obviously protecting his selfish interest. I am so peeved at his comment on the issue.
SalamRushdie: Lee Maeba has been benefiting from the oil industry's corruption and irregularities for a while so no surprises about him taking a the side of the GMD because I am sure the GMD must have been greasing him
This senator is dumb. Whose interest is he serving? Does he work in NNPC or the office of the Minister as to know that Ibe Kachikwu did not explore all options before deciding to petition the President who is the appointing authority? Did he even read the petition under reference? This eye service will not fetch this Senator any return.
