She played every minute of the tournament
It’s well deserved
It could’ve gone either way
Was between Okoronkwo & Ajibade
Okoronkwo has crazy energy wow
Esther was the most impactful player on the team. Apart from her PK’s, Ajibade didn’t really do anything spectacular. That was Esther’s award

You speak from both sides of your mouth, and your double standard is appalling.

When they're losing, you blame the coach but when they win, the team won in spite of the coach.

Just go to bed, plastic fan.
Which is both true, cry

In Europe they call all of you plastic fans

At the sleight of uncertainty yall are calling for the coaches head

Patriots my A$$
For good reason though, he’s tactically inept and one could argue they won in spite of him not cus of him. But now is not the time to argue this.. Congrats to the girls

Mission X complete

Ghana Played this Moroccan team off the park, gave them a real game than whatever this Falcons are doing.

Given that this same Moroccan team knocked the Super falcons out the last edition controversially, I was expecting a fierce response, but what i'm seeing are a group of girls that don't know what they want and all playing like scared little girls who are just putting cleats on for the first time in their lives.
Oya go to bed

I always had that nagging feeling that this squad would get exposed eventually.

Omo good night y'all. We look forward to the next WAFCON. This one is gone.
Take it back joor.. go where?

Lol Ayinde!!

Smh... Who passes a ball to the opponent on the edge of their 18 yard box?
That was a rookie mistake from such an experienced player, you don’t lose the ball that close to the edge of your box. She just gave her opponent the assist

How do we overcome this, they used this in our last meeting and I wasn't sure if they were penalised for it.
Good God! Is it just me or does Nnadozie look so much fitter and slimmer here??

I just saw the replay. It deserved red card. Red card naim that tackle be. It was reckless and ill timed. Gabriella wasn't even rushing to contend that ball when Debbie sweeped her leg off the ground. Naaahhhhh. That was super reckless mehn.
Where is the replay?? I want to see it

Its an ankle twist similar to Musiala's. All the best to Salgado. Wishing her a speedy recovery after surgery.
Is there an image or video of it?

That kind of coach is more focused on his girls rather than reading the tactical approach of his opponents, hence he can't make in game changes for the tactical advantage. See how he was super focused on Ashleigh and Esther today, you'll think they stole his okpa.

Congrats to scrapping this win. E sweet say naso the goal come.

Ihezuo is an amazon. Ijamilusi should have gone off since 70th minute. She was tired. Same for Esther. I dunno the nitro wey Ajibade carry after SA equalize sha cos e kon be like they just subbed her in.😂😂

She was everywhere.
Thank you! Very good observations..

I’ve followed since the Zambia game and his changes have been like for like. Doesn’t seem like one with a plan B if his plan A gets shot.

Kibbs:
I’d like to see Rinsola for Ijamilusi. Get some attacking prowess in the game. It’s anyone's game now
I was saying here too that those girls are tired and Ijamilusi should have gone off since. Baba no dey hear anything o. Let’s hope that final too goes well

It's Morocco in the finals most likely. Morocco has a solid coach, Madugu has his work cut out. I would encourage him to shout less but rather watch the game keenly to be able to make the right tactical decisions. SA neutralized for the most part in the 2nd half.

Good win for the girls and wishing us all the best in the finals.
Morocco, Lacoco, Makoko… doesn’t matter. Naija for the win
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Kibbs(m): 7:01pm On Jul 22, 2025
SA was the toughest test imo and they passed. If Ghana makes it to that final, it will be a bloodbath

Thank God we won, but today's game was a coaching malpractice by Madugu. He was out-coached by Ellis.

We were very fortunate today.
In every way o, but goals win games

We've been devastating sending in long balls into the box..... I don't know why we waited till the end to do that. Also why move Ihezuo to the wings?
I said it minutes ago that those longs balls have been working cus of their deadly nature. Tiki taka + beautiful football out, Naija long balls in the final. Let’s go joor.
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Kibbs(m): 6:55pm On Jul 22, 2025

Demehin is one Useless Player!

She carried the ball out from her defense, Progressed nicely with the ball, now callously gave the ball away to a South African under no pressure, leaving her defense open for an attack, and yet jogging back 😂😩😩
Baba calm down na

I wasn't expecting us to keep possession, coz south Africa have mastered it already.

But I must say, the long balls are working for us so far...
Exactly, it seems to be working just fine. As sexy as it looks, not every team would pass pass pass especially if they don’t have the personnel for it. Those long balls have been measured and dangerous. Let’s wrap this game up now

SA's passing game is good. Even in tight spaces they play those one two passes. But, I'm glad we go into half time with a 1 - 0 lead.
Good would be an understatement. They are excellent on the ball. They take it from defense to attack with ease, just that they haven’t been able to carve out goof chances in the final third—which is to our benefit. Let them keep passing, we keep scoring.

Cut her some slack, this is her first time and there’s room for improvement.
Surely there’s some training for commentary duties. Let’s be honest, this is the only place she’s going to be employed with her mic performance so far. She needs to improve desperately if she’s going to make it a career

Hmmm. Maybe I'm listening to a different Oparanozie. Her commentary has been very low-level and incoherent compared to what is obtainable from the average commentator. Facts. No hate.
Her commentary brings tears to my eyes, it’s not good, it’s not bad, it’s horrendous 😭😭

Voice yeah i agree with that. There are sides to her that is valuable to this team and now it is down to many off-pitch going forward but i still don't see it. Influential, true, but to impact to next gen? Naaah.
But how can you say the greatest african female player isn’t influential to both her peers or the next gen? That’s a lie

Do you get, Is he being stubborn or want to prove that he knows better? Rasheedat in midfield at this stage when she hasn’t performed well for the team there?

How do you bench Christy Ucheibe in this kind of physical game??

Or Madugu just want to ruine the team totally??
