In a bid to halt rape and abuse in Africa, the Uchenna Kenneth Foundation (UK Aid) in conjunction with Godspower Oshodin Global Foundation and B-soccer Academy commences the first of it kind sportbased Anti-rape campaign tagged as Run Against Rape and Abuse (RARA).

The campaign which commenced in Abuja saw young ladies and guys come out in their numbers to walk and jog the street of Abuja.

In his words, Collins Onyeaji who is Convener of the event and co-convener of UK-Aid said: "The world will be a better place if we all focus in that one fight for Humanity. We can only do this together, because rape and abuse is a menace in the society. And it requires conscious attention."

Mr. Onyeaji who also doubles as the Vice President of the Nigeria Bloggers Forum buttresses on the need for collaboration and partnership in fighting this course.

"Part of the United Nations SDG is Partnership. We need to deploy all the dynamism needed in cleansing the society. With RARA, we are using sports as part of the tools in fighting this societal menace. As you can see, we have all jogged a few kilometres down Maitaima and Wuse axis. And that is the dynamism, where you can fight Rape and Abuse with every idea that brings people together. So I call on all Stakeholders in the industry to join in this fight, be you a Journalists, Sport Personality, Musicians, Actors, and others who has a voice that can echo our resolve to halt Rape and Abuse in our society."

Speaking to Press Men, Ikechukwu Anyaegbudike who is the General Secretary of the Nigeria Bloggers Forum and co-convener of the Campaign, articulated on some essential factors the RARA campaign would create.

"RARA project is unique. Because we are using Sports in fighting against rape and abuse. Sports and exercises should be part of us. If you must fight, you must be fit. And we are not stopping here, we are commencing the SAVE THE GIRLS ANTI-RAPE CAMPAIGN on all campuses across the Nation once school activities commences again. Ending this societal plight should be paramount in our consciousness.", Mr. Ikechukwu concludes.

Frank Urges Buhari, NASS to probe $2.5bn Oil Sale to China, suspension of NNPC’s GMD


Following the recent disclosure by the PointBlank news of the sale of 48 million barrels of Nigeria's Bonny Crude Light oil to China, valued at $2.5bn but allegedly shared by some persons around the government, the National Assembly has been urged to beem searchlight on the allegation.

A political activist and former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank on Friday, called for the immediate arrest, investigation and prosecution of all those involved in the sale and diversion of the proceeds of the oil to China.

Frank, in the statement, wondered how General Muhammadu Buhari, perceived as the "anti-corruption fighter of Africa", by ECOWAS would allow such brazen acts of corruption to be perpetuated under his watch.

"Corruption under Buhari has assumed a very disturbing height and, except he is complicit, one wonders why he has stubbornly refused to prosecute persons indicted for the corruption perpetuated under his watch as Petroleum Minister?”

It would be recalled, that Frank had earlier raised an alarm concerning the sale of crude oil to China in 2015 under questionable circumstances for which the accrued funds were diverted by cronies of General Muhammadu Buhari.

Following the transaction in 2015, Buhari had thereafter, instituted a team to travel to China to investigate the report concerning the oil sale.

"We need Buhari to tell Nigerians the outcome of that investigative team to China", Frank stated.

"Except he (Buhari) is also complicit and in full knowledge of the $2.5bn oil sale to China, we expect the immediate arrest and prosecution of all those mentioned in the wicked, demonic and outright stealing of resources that could have been utilized in the provision of sustainable amenities for Nigerians.

"This is one crime against the citizenry too many that should not be allowed to be swept under the carpet in any form,” he said.

Frank also called on the Government of the United States of America to investigate this act of criminality as Nigerians no longer have the confidence in the Buhari-led administration.

He added: “I hereby call on the US Government to help Nigerians investigate this crime as we no longer have confidence in the Buhari-led government especially as the transaction was conducted, using the US currency and with the amount involved, the entire proceeds can be easily traced with the persons and organizations involved, traced.”

The Bayelsa-born political activist implored General Muhammadu Buhari to immediately set-up an investigative panel just like the Justice Ayo Salami-panel that was set-up to look into the allegations against the acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, that will look into “this weighty allegation which has further, brought ridicule and embarrassment, not only to his APC administration but to Nigeria and Nigerians.

“The President must immediately adopt a similar approach in sacking the board of the NNPC for this crude oil sale of $2.5bn which the GMD of the NNPC, Engr. Mele Kyari and every other persons involved in, has been indicted.”

He also advised both Chambers of the National Assembly, particularly, the Senate to investigate this criminality and possibly, push for their immediate arrest, prosecution and conviction.

Frank enjoined the opposition members in the National Assembly, especially the Minority Leaders, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe and Honourable Ndudi Elumelu of the Senate and House of Representatives respectively, not to allow this manifest fraud to be swept under the carpet like others in the past “as all eyes are on them to ensure that our commonwealth and resources are not pilfered under any guise.”

He called on both men to look critically, into these very weighty and embarrassing allegations as published by PointBlank News

The political activist also called for the suspension of the Group Managing Director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, Engr. Mele Kyari to allow for thorough investigation of the sale of over 48 million barrels of Bonny Crude Light oil.

"The NNPC GMD must step aside so as not to allow for a proper investigation of this humongous stealing and criminality,” Frank stated.

She further confessed that she did the evil deeds because she was jealous that her sister was too beautiful and also because she had left her to marry.

In a Testimony Service on July 9, 2020 in the church, Mrs Nancy Madugu testified about how Prophet Omale had been used by God to free and heal her from kidney failure and paralysis of over 4 years. She explained that she had been on life supports for over 1 year and that after a sister of hers donated one of her kidneys and transplant done, the transplanted kidney still failed. She also testified with pictures that she had been on wheelchair for 2 years. She was accompanied to the testimony service by her sisters and other family members who authenticated Mrs Madugu’s claims.

For further confirmation of new medical results confirming that she had been healed, Prophet Dr Emmanuel Omale seeked the help of two doctors to interpret the result, the male and female doctors from the auditorium read and interpreted her result, confirming that she had been miraculously healed from kidney failure. The doctor said eeverything was on ‘normal level’.

Mrs Nancy Madugu said she first heard about the great work God has been using Prophet Dr Emmanuel Omale to do through the Divine Hand of God TV, before a friend took her to the Abuja based church from Kaduna.

HOW SAHARA ENERGY, AA RANO OIL SOLD STOLEN $2.5BILLION CRUDE OIL IN CHINA, SHARED PROCEEDS WITH BUHARI’S CABAL


Two Nigerian oil companies, Sahara Energy and AA Rano Oil were used by late Chief of Staff to President Mohammadu Buhari, Mallam Abba Kyari, to illegally sell 48 million barrels of stolen cude oil worth $2.5billion,
fresh facts obtained by Pointblanknews.com have revealed.

The oil, which was stolen from Nigeria in 2015 was stored in several tank farms in Qingdao and other cities in China.

Pointblanknews.com had earlier reported that the crude oil was estimated to be worth $800million. However, a source privy to the deal confirmed that the 48 million barrel Bonny light crude sold to the Chinese was worth over $2.5billion.

Buhari’s late Chief of Staff, Mallam Abba Kyari, Late Group General Manager, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Maikanti Baru, Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, Saleh Mamman, as well as the current GMD, NNPC, Mele Kayi were reported to have been behind the illegal deal.

Also reported to have participated in the sharing was the now suspended acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, Air Commodore Mohammed Umar Rtd, former Director-General, State Security Services, Mallam Lawal Daura.

Sources knowledgeable about the whole deal that prefers to remain anonymous told Pointblanknews.com that the late Chief of Staff after confirming the existence of the stolen crude in China, directed the current GMD of NNPC, Mele Kyari, who was then Group General Manager, Crude, to take over the crude stored in several tanks in China.

Soon after that, pointblanknews.com investigations revealed that arrangement was then made by late Kyari to have Sahara Energy, a company that he has a special interest in, and AA Rano Oil to move to China and sell off the crude.

According to sources who do not want to be named, Kyari was allegedly granted a blind trust in Sahara Energy as well as some other indigenous oil companies he used his position as Chief of staff to grant favors.

In May 2016, officials of the EFCC raided the Lagos and Abuja offices of Sahara Energy carting away several computers and documentary evidence of the deals. The Late Chief of Staff and Mamman Daura stopped the anti-graft agency’s probe of the oil company.

However, a source in China confirmed to Pointblanknews.com that the Bonny Light crude which was sold to a company linked to the sister of the Chinese President Xi Jinping was worth $2.5billion.

Two vessels, SS Markab Star, and another owned by Keith Rhames have been identified as some of the vessels used in hauling the crude oil to China.

According to the sources, the crude oil secretly shipped to China in 2015 by some people believed to be working with Dieziani Alison Madueke, the former Petroleum Minister under former President Goodluck Jonathan, was over 100 million barrels.

Sources said it was meant to be the “payout” for Dieziani and her crew in the oil industry.

SAMANO AS, a Mexican company traced the 48 million barrels and reported to Buhari’s Government. The cabal was said to have found an additional 52 million barrels stored in other tank farms in China and sold them off.

After promising to compensate the Mexican Company for finding and reporting the stolen crude, late Kyari and others reneged.

SAMANO’s lawyer, Joaquin Esparza Mendez, told Pointblanknews.com that the Mexican Court could not continue with the matter for lack of jurisdiction.

He said the Judge had advised they file the case in Nigeria since the Whistleblowers Act for which they are relying on is domiciled in Nigeria.

Communications between SAMANO AS and officials of the NNPC by texts and emails in Pointblanknews.com possession confirmed the existence of the crude in China and the subsequent secret sale.

A text message from Kyari, the current GMD NNPC, to an official of SAMANO AS had guaranteed the company a 5% fee for the information leading to the crude. Kyari in the text also had assured the company that “That in the event of the disposal of any crude oil recovered based on your information, your company will be considered in an offtake arrangement.

Those assurances, according to findings by Pointblanknews.com were never honored.

Pointblanknews.com is also in possession of pictures of meetings between Kyari, GMD NNPC, and officials of SAMANO AS held at the Hilton Hotels, Abuja. There are also pictures of meetings with Air Commodore Mohammed Umar at his residence in Gado Nasko Close, Asokoro Abuja.

Diri Will Govern Bayelsa With Bitterness of Heart - Timi Frank
...Condemns governor for rejecting Alaibe's congratulatory message

A political activist and former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Comrade Timi Frank, has condemned governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa state for rejecting a congratulatory message sent to him by his challenger and former Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Chief Timi Alaibe, after the Supreme Court judgement.

Frank said the attitude of the governor has clearly shown that he (Diri) will govern the state with a heart full of bitterness, for the sleepless nights he had while the case against him was ongoing.

Alaibe, who contested the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship ticket with the governor had challenged Diri's candidacy to Supreme Court but lost. The former had, however, sent a congratulatory message but the later rejected the message publicly.

Responding to the development through a statement on Tuesday, Timi Frank said governor Diri has proven his inexperience as a politician "and not worthy to hold a public office."

Frank described as a sad development for a sitting governor, who should have rather called on those who opposed him to support his administration but decided to take an unpopular decision.

The Bayelsa born political activist declared that Diri's action will surely hunt him for the rest of his tenure.

Frank believes that it is never a crime for Alaibe to contest his right in Court, adding that if not for the same Court Diri wouldn't have become a governor.

While commending the former NDDC boss Alaibe for his political maturity and consistency, Frank said governor Diri has portrayed himself as a non-accommodating leader.

"Jitry governor Diri became the governor through a back door. Instead of him to appreciate God's faithfulness in his life, he has turned himself to the Biblical Bayelsa's Nebuchadnezzar by openly rejecting a hand of fellowship extended to him by the much loved Timi Alaibe.

"Governor Diri should not forget so soon that Bayelsans did not Vote for him as governor because he was not their choice but Court and providence did.

"Diri has forgotten that four years will end before he knows it. The governor's proud heart will soon dissapoint him. If Diri was not jitry, how come he couldn't appoint his Commissioners months after Court declared him governor?

"By this singular act of ungratefulness, Douye Diri should prepare to give account of all his steps and policies everyday. The Bayelsans will hold him accountable for each step he takes henceforth."

Frank, however called on Alaibe not to be detterd or pay evil for evil as a much loved politician in Bayelsa state.

Reno vs Sowore keeps brewing.....

Sometime in 2012, it entered my heart to give back to Nigeria. I had invited some White Christian missionaries to Nigeria, in August 2012, and we visited an orphanage in Abuja, the Hope For Survival Orphanage. I was so shocked by the cramped conditions under which the children lived, that I went out and cried my heart out.

I then vowed that I would build an orphanage that would be as good as the house my children lived in America.

I started building in December 2012. I never stole a dime or did a fundraiser. I paid for this project myself, save for a $1000 contribution by my friend, Pastor Andy Cochran. I was in government for four years as a Presidential spokesman, and now I am perhaps the most vociferous critic of the President Buhari administration. Yet, nobody, not even the Buhari government, can ever say I stole money. My hands are clean, and I am very fulfilled that I set a record, that you can serve in government in Nigeria without stealing.

So, I wrote to Omoyele Sowore telling him he was mistaken. I gave him the facts. I showed him logs from Aso Rock, where I worked, proving that on the date and time he alleged I was robbing a house, I was in my office. I gave the names of a woman who was once an editor, who had met with me on the day in question. He ignored my mails. No response. The 2015 Nigerian presidential election was in two weeks, and the story made my boss, President Jonathan look bad (which was the intention of the story).

Why would you write a story like that without even verifying whether it was true or not? Both Sowore and his organisation had my contact details. Sowore has phoned me before. He knew how to reach me. How can you write such a damaging story without first reaching out to the person you are writing about? It goes against the ethics of responsible journalism, which say hear both sides, and when in doubt, leave out.

I quickly engaged a lawyer and sued the man Sahara Reporters mentioned in their story as accusing me of armed robbery. At court, the man swore to an affidavit that he never made such allegations against me to Sahara Reporters and he does not know how they arrived at their claims.


I then sent the affidavits he swore to, to Saharareporters and Omoyele Sowore and they ignored it. The traditional print media carried the story of the denial by the man cited by Sahara Reporters. Yet, both Sowore and his organisation refused to either take the story down or apologise.

I then sued Sahara Reporters in Nigeria, but they dodged service of court papers. So, I travelled to the United States and engaged two lawyers, one in New York and one in California.


I was almost financially ruined. I had difficulty paying my mortgage because of the astronomical cost of hiring a lawyer in America (they bill by the hour). I had to stop work on the orphanage project and focused entirely on fighting to clear my name. My children were too ashamed to go to school because I live in a small Christian community in California. The people in our church had read the story, and I was the subject of malicious gossip. Eventually, I had to leave the church. I was scandalised in the community.


The lawyer in New York wrote Sowore and appealed to him to remove the story and explained to him how financially draining this case could be for both him and I. Sowore would not budge and it looked like I may have had to remortgage my house to get the funds to pay for a long legal battle.

Eventually, the lawyer in New York was able to discover that The Ford Foundation was sponsoring Saharareporters. So, he wrote to them and presented the facts to them. Then, and only then, did Sowore take the story down. He did not do this because he wanted to. He did it, only because he did not want his money threatened.


What mattered to Omoyele Sowore was not my life that he was ruining with his blackmail or my children he was scarring psychologically by falsely labelling their father as an armed robber. His singular motive was to render then President Jonathan unelectable and ensure the election of Muhammadu Buhari, via any means necessary, including lying against innocent people. The only thing that could stop him was a threat to his income.

I thank God that on February 22, 2016, the orphanage, The Helen and Bemigho Sanctuary for Orphans, was declared open in Benin City, Edo state, by Professor Pat Utomi, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce and Arch Bishop John Praise Daniel, to the glory of God. My entire family was there. Foreign friends came. The orphanage is now giving hope to the previously hopeless. However, the orphanage could have been opened earlier, if I did not have to waste multiple millions of Naira trying to clear my name from the reckless lies told against me by Omoyele Sowore, all because, to him, all is fair in elections.


If you saw my photograph from that period, I looked like a person in the last stages of HIV/AIDS wastage. I could not eat. I could not sleep. I was traumatised. My grandparents were so affected by the blackmail against me by Sowore, that I feared it might lead to their untimely death.

My family and I would gather and cry out to God and beg Him to vindicate me. It was the most trying period of my life.


The money I wasted on this venture could have fed and educated orphans. It could have been used to do something more positive and useful to humanity than feathering the nests of already wealthy lawyers both here and in the United States.

However, mine is not an isolated case. It is a pattern or blackmail, and media terrorism engaged in by Omoyele Sowore, using his Sahara Reporters, probably the most dishonest medium on Earth.

I know several persons he has done this to, including and not limited to Pastors, people in business, and ordinary citizens, who he has targeted for destruction to suit his political motives.


I know of a pastor who Sowore targeted because the man had prophesied the death of his political godfather, Nasir El-Rufai, if he should sign his anti-preaching Bill, The Kaduna State Religious Preaching (Regulation) Bill, into law. The pastor is in court against Sahara Reporters and has promised to expose details when the case is concluded.

Today, Buhari, who Omoyele Sowore admitted on camera to bringing to power, is now doing to him what he did to others, and both Sowore and his propaganda website, Saharareporters, want to paint the picture of victims. No, they are enablers. They brought Buhari to power, and as we all know, the first persons a dictator goes after, are those who brought him to power.


Sowore is a woman scorned. He expected to be given a role in Buhari’s government, like Festus Keyamo. However, he forgot that when you sell your brother, even your buyer will not trust you.

That is why it took less than 24 hours for Nnamdi Kanu to get bail. Because he is genuinely fighting for his people. However, it took months for Sowore to get bail. And he still did not make it. The judge herself later said she was “embarrassed” that despite reducing the bail conditions, no one came to bail Sowore. Who will want to bail a blackmailer? Who?


A brutal blackmailer has met his match in a brutal dictator. It is a match made in hell, and both of them should be left to reap what they have sown.

The money I wasted on this venture could have fed and educated orphans. It could have been used to do something more positive and useful to humanity than feathering the nests of already wealthy lawyers both here and in the United States.

However, mine is not an isolated case. It is a pattern or blackmail, and media terrorism engaged in by Omoyele Sowore, using his Sahara Reporters, probably the most dishonest medium on Earth.

I know several persons he has done this to, including and not limited to Pastors, people in business, and ordinary citizens, who he has targeted for destruction to suit his political motives.

I know of a pastor who Sowore targeted because the man had prophesied the death of his political godfather, Nasir El-Rufai, if he should sign his anti-preaching Bill, The Kaduna State Religious Preaching (Regulation) Bill, into law. The pastor is in court against Sahara Reporters and has promised to expose details when the case is concluded.

Today, Buhari, who Omoyele Sowore admitted on camera to bringing to power, is now doing to him what he did to others, and both Sowore and his propaganda website, Saharareporters, want to paint the picture of victims. No, they are enablers. They brought Buhari to power, and as we all know, the first persons a dictator goes after, are those who brought him to power.

Sowore is a woman scorned. He expected to be given a role in Buhari’s government, like Festus Keyamo. However, he forgot that when you sell your brother, even your buyer will not trust you.

That is why it took less than 24 hours for Nnamdi Kanu to get bail. Because he is genuinely fighting for his people. However, it took months for Sowore to get bail. And he still did not make it. The judge herself later said she was “embarrassed” that despite reducing the bail conditions, no one came to bail Sowore. Who will want to bail a blackmailer? Who?

A brutal blackmailer has met his match in a brutal dictator. It is a match made in hell, and both of them should be left to reap what they have sown.

Nigeria is a joke.

The personal assistant of Gokada founder Fahim Saleh, has been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of the 33-year-old tech entrepreneur.
Saleh's decapitated and dismembered body was found in an apartment in a luxury $2.25 million condominium on Manhattan’s Lower East Side on Tuesday, July 14.

Saleh’s personal assistant, Tyrese Devon Haspil, 21, is expected to be charged in a criminal complaint with second degree murder and other crimes, the New York Times reports.

Detectives believe that Haspil’s motive for allegedly killing Saleh stems from the fact that the Gokada CEO discovered that the assistant had stolen tens of thousands of dollars from him.

Saleh did not report the Haspil to the authorities but set up what amounted to a repayment plan for him to return the money, one of the officials briefed on the matter told NYT.

The police are expected to announce the arrest at a news conference soon.

Investigators have also concluded that Saleh was killed on Monday, July 13, the day before his body was found, and that the killer returned the next day to the apartment on East Houston Street to dismember the body and clean up the crime scene.

Founder of the Divine Hand of God Prophetic Ministry, Prophet Emmanuel Omale, has described Suspended Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu as his spiritual son.

Omale during his weekly service held yesterday,at his Durumi District, Garki, Abuja church location posited that he will not deny Magu, because he is a prophet sent to everyone and not just Christians.

Omale who was linked to on-going investigation of Magu's alledged mismanagement of loot recovered by the EFCC has come clean before his congratulation and public, describing the allegation as "a lie from the pit of hell."

The Presidential Committee on Audit of Recovered Assets (PCARA) said the former acting chairman purchased a property in Dubai using Omale’s name.

Prophet Omale said Magu is not the only Muslim who have come to his church and got “results”.

“You see what is going on, on social media. Listen, I don’t launder money for anybody, it is a lie from the pit of hell, I have sons all over the world and I pray for them. They call me for advice, for counselling and I pray for them and beyond,” Omale said.

“This altar is for everybody. It is for Muslims, it is for pagans and Ibrahim Magu is not the only Muslim that you used to come here, sleep here, talk to God and they have result.

“I’m not surprised, Jesus went through this, Jesus was persecuted, if Jesus was not persecuted they won’t hear his name. People that don’t know Omale, know Omale now. If I want to do this kind of publicity, the money is much all over the world, promotion. People that dont want to hear about pastor before, as they heard ‘pastor launder money’, they will go to my YouTube page and they will see the power of God there and they will become my son again.

“There is nobody that will watch my YouTube page and not follow me by force. There is nobody that will see my face that will not love me.

“My face was everywhere – publicity. No doubt about it, I can’t deny him like the way i cannot deny all of you.”

The pastor said anyone fighting him is fighting Jesus.

“Prophet Omale is a prophet of liberation, give the Lord a big hand (applause). If you are Muslim in this building, outside, can you stand up? Come out here, I want to pray for you,” the cleric said.

“I’m a prophet to everybody. Omale is not for only Christians, Omale is for Muslims, is for pagans is for everybody. This is a house of God, we don’t force people to give their lives to Christ.
“Prophet Omale represents Jesus on earth. If you fight me, you are fighting Jesus.”

The attention of the Honourable Minister of the Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, CON has been drawn to a cornucopia of false, malicious, and libellous press interviews granted by Ms. GBENE JOI NUNIEH, the erstwhile Acting Managing Director of the Interim Management Committee, of the Niger Delta Development Commission, (NDDC) in some news and social media platforms and a series of concerted vicious campaigns of calumny deviously orchestrated by her against his person ranging from allegation of corruption, sexual and workplace harassments, pipelines bombings, secret cult activities, abuse of office, amongst other lies peddled by her.

The Honourable Minister's initial attitude was to allow his lawyers and the judicial system vindicate him of the false allegations against him, but he is compelled to react to some of the wayward allegations levied against his person by Ms. Nunieh, especially the one bothering on sexual harassment.

To start with, let it be known that there is no scintilla of truth in all the allegations peddled around by Ms. Nbnieh. They are simply false! The Honourable Minister did not at any time, place or circumstance make any form of sexual advances to Ms. Nunieh, not even to put himself in a position or posture suggestive of sexual advances towards Ms. Nunieh, or any female staff of his Ministry or the NDDC.

For the records, the Honourable Minister, Senator Godswill Akpabio, CON is happily married and contented with his wife. Together they are blessed with children, four (4) of whom are young women. The Honourable Minister is an avid believer of the Affirmative Action and that was visible in the appointments he made as a two (2) term Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State between 2007 and 2015. Under his watch, he • appointed several women into various high level positions as
Chairpersons of Local Government Councils, Magistrates, Judges, Heads of Parastatals, Directors, Permanent Secretaries, and Commissioners.

He is the first Governor in Akwa Ibom State to have a female Deputy Governor, was also the first to appoint female Chief Justices of the High Court, recommended women for ministerial appointments one of whom was the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, and supported for appointment the first female Vice Chancellor of the only Federal University in the State etc. He has always championed and still champions the cause of women and young children.

Whilst the Governor of Akwa-lbom State, the Honourable Minister summoned the political will and effrontery to stop modern day slavery in his state, where young women and children were ferried away from the State to other states in Nigeria to be used for all sorts of menial chores as house maids and most suffered unimaginable unethical trade malpractices and maltreatments. He ensured that anyone caught in that trade was severely punished. He signed the Child Rights Law to protect children, especially the girl child from stigmatization and punishment by ordeal where some were executed or banished on allegation of witchcraft. The Child Rights Law also made primary and secondary education in Akwa Ibom State free and compulsory; educating the girl child was his topmost priority.

The Honourable Minister has never tfden his admiration and respect for his wife, Mrs. Ekaete Akpabio, Chi,dren and sisters, he therefore felt compelled to react to the malicious attack on his person by Ms. Nunieh bothering on allegations of sexual harassment. The Honourable Minister therefore finds the said allegation nauseating and a very cheap blackmail, for Ms. Nunieh to suggest or insinuate that he sexually harassed her, while she was the Acting Managing Director of the NDDC.

The Honourable Minister also finds it appalling that, Ms. Nunieh, never deemed it fit to report the alleged incident to the police at the earliest opportunity she had, before, during or after her tenor as the Acting Managing Director on 17th February, 2020, if indeed the allegation was true. Waiting till July 10th and 13th 2020 when the National Assembly appears to be probing some of her actions as the Acting Managing Director of the Interim Management Committee ("IMC" exposes her motive, especially at a time when the momentum for the Forensic Audit
Investigation of the NDDC is heating up and the truth is about to be unveiled for all to see? The critical question is who is afraid of the Forensic Audit at the NDDC? Who is Afraid of the Truth?

There is no doubt that Ms. Nunieh's attacks are both personal and sponsored. Those afraid of the truth, and who wish to bury it from seeing the light of the day, are strenuously behind Ms. Nunieh's vicious campaign of calumny.

The Honourable Minister has a mandate from Mr. President, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR to unearth alleged looting and financial misappropriation that had gone on at the NDDC since its inception in 2001. He is committed to that mandate through the forensic audit of the NDDC and will not be deterred or distracted from that goal. The aim of this campaign of calumny is simpler get Senator Akpabio out, kill the forensic audit, and continue business as usual at the NDDC.
On the allegations of the Honourable Minister's involvement in contract racketeering, bombing of oil pipelines, corruption/diversion of funds, the Honourable Minister has stated several times and at various fora that since his assumption of office, he has only awarded three contracts till date- the appointment of the lead forepsic auditors which was approved by the Federal Executive Council the emergency procurement contract for COVID-19 intervention in the Niger Delta Area which due to its urgency had his interim approval and Presidential approval in line with the Bureau of Public Procurement Act and the award of Vehicles procurement duly approved by the Bureau of Public Procurement and the Federal Executive Council but yet to be consummated. It is noteworthy, that all these contracts went through due processes.

On her allegation that the Honourable Minister directed her to change the Dollars in the NDDC's Account; for the records, it should be noted that NDDC's Account is domiciled with the Central Bank of Nigeria. Every inflow and outflow is known and traceable. NDDC gets its revenue in Dollars which is paid directly to its Treasury Single Account (TSA) with the Central Bank of Nigeria. The Dollar is then converted to Naira by the CBN and paid into the NDDC Naira Account still domiciled with the CBN upon a written application from the NDDC. It is therefore impossible for any sum of money belonging to the NDDC with the CBN including the several figures bandied around as missing to be missing.

It is important to state, that unlike in the past where the NDDC had over three hundred (300) bank accounts in different commercial banks, that practice had since changed under the President Muhammadu Buhari's administration, which gave full effect to the application of the Treasury Single Account and the NDDC now has its accounts with the CBN. The Honourable Minister does not give verbal instructions to anybody, all instructions are in writing and in response to a request from the Commission.

On the allegation that the Honourable Minister directed Ms. Nunieh to remove Mr. Kaltungo, same is false. His track record marks him out as a totally detribalized politician and one of the best friends of Northern Nigeria. The Honourable Minister was informed by the NDDC management that over twenty three (23) top Management Staff, from various part of Nigeria including the Niger Delta region, who have evaded leave in the last ten (10) years or had the tendency to influence negatively the ongoing forensic audit were recommended for mandatory leave by the lead forensic auditors. They are still staff of the Commission currently receiving their monthly salaries and benefits.

The Honourable Minister has taken séps to instruct his lawyers to seek necessary redress in a Court of competent Jurisdiction on his behalf over the defamatory statements made by Ms. Nunieh.

On a final note, while encouraging all Nigerians to hold their leaders to account, he urges them to take their time to sift between the chaff and the substance before embarking on far reaching allegations, opinions and views.

Abuja-based Cleric Emmanuel Omale who was named in the money laundering investigation against suspended acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu, has denied the allegations.
Omale was alleged to have served as conduit for buying a property in Dubai worth N573m on behalf of Magu'.

Apple's Bite Int'l Magazine gathered that Prophet Omale, who is also the General Overseer of Divine Hand of God Prophetic Ministries International, Abuja, said this in a pre-litigation letter addressed to the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday.

According to a letter signed by his lawyer, Chief Gordy Uche (SAN), the cleric said he indeed met Magu in Dubai earlier in the year but it was not for the purpose of purchasing a property, noting that the suspended EFCC boss had traveled to Dubai for medical reasons and he only prayed with him.

The cleric said the NAN report reeks of calumny, denigration, actuated by malice, and is calculated to ridicule and disparage him and cast a stain on his reputation; expose him to public hatred and contempt and injure him in his religious calling, as the General Overseer of Divine Hand of God Prophetic Ministries International.

The letter read in part, “We, however, wish to make the following clarifications to put the public records straight: That our client is the General Overseer of an Inter-denominational/Multi-religious Prayer Ministry.

“That our client, only visited Mr. Ibrahim Magu in a hospital in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, sometime in March 2020.

“That our client never laundered any funds whatsoever for Mr. Ibrahim Magu or for anybody whatsoever. Our client does not own any foreign bank account anywhere in the world.

“That there are no funds whatsoever traceable from Mr. Ibrahim Magu to our client’s bank accounts whatsoever neither has our client received any funds whatsoever from Mr. Ibrahim Magu. Our client has never received any funds whatsoever from anybody on behalf of Mr. Ibrahim Magu.

“That our client does not own any property in Dubai. His name was never used to purchase any property whatsoever in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, or anywhere else in any part of the world, neither has he purchased any property nor properties for Mr. Ibrahim Magu in any part of the world whatsoever.”

He subsequently asked the Federal Government-owned news agency to retract the publication which had severely injured his reputation, character, and calling.”

The cleric asked NAN to restrain itself from further defamation of his character or a libel suit of N1bn would be instituted against the agency.

NAN had on Saturday published a story citing a report issued by a Presidential panel set up to investigate the EFCC between 2015 and 2020.

The report which had been submitted to the President, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), accused Magu of being unable to account for the interest generated from cash recoveries of over N500bn.

In the report, Magu was accused of buying a property in Dubai through the Omale.
