PoliticsRe: Oyegun Refuses To Endorse Ize-iyamu, Asks Edo People To Vote Their Conscience by Kido90(m): 10:30pm On Sep 14, 2020
Oyegun has no electoral value. He also failed woefully as a governor. Same way as Obaseki.

It thus appears you listened to only Ize Iyamu. Perhaps, you wanted to hear Ize Iyamu praising Obaseki.

In all the campaigns, Obaseki and PDP have been attacking personalities. Putting up videos here and there. He has abused Oshomole in and out. He called Oshiomole names yesterday and said he had no certificates. That's the strategy Obaseki adopted. Tear Oshiomole to shreds and Iyamu will crumble.

Unfortunately for Obaseki, he lacks the power of speech and public speaking.

Was Ize-Iyamu invited to partake in personality attacks bout? undecided
Is Oshomole on the ballot Paper that Obaseki was denigrating? That Oshomole borrowed recklessly, even though he (Obaseki) was the head of the Economic Advisory Team.

Take out emotions, you will understand that Obaseki had more defense to do as he is in government. If Iyamu doesn't ATTACK Obaseki' policies, what then would he be offering as an alternative?

Have you managed a business before (say small-scale)? If businessmen were magicians then there would no LOSS. He just stated the facts and that earned him accolades. You think Nigerians are dumb? He proved he's smart.
How can you invest in agriculture and you have 100% yield every harvest season?
The same man that has failed in a small business and many others as pointed out in the debate has also not achieved anything in projects that impact the people. He has failed the people of Edo state. He doesn't care about brain drain in the health sector. If you understand the implications of his proposed telemedicine, you will know he doesn't mean well for Edo state.

About your question directed at me, I don't think it is necessary in this context but, I run a business with annual turnover of over #100m and a workforce of over 50 personnel. I am a certified Project Manager.

I did poultry farm last year as an individual and it didnt come out well. Business is 50/50. The most important thing is to learn from your mistakes and try again. That was exactly what Obaseki said. He never denied the Sobe farm project flopped. He said he has learn and put more effort in actualization of the reality they want. If not for anything at least applaud him for saying the truth unlike other politician that will lie that it is 100% successful even when you are seeing the failure.
He has been campaigning on a false successes in the Agric sector.

He rode on a tractor claiming to be harvesting maize when he went to campaign in Sobe. He claimed huge success in the investment. But, we know better now.

Same with other phantom projects.

I respected Obaseki where he admitted one of his Agricultural scheme didn't do well but he is doing everything possible to meet up with it. That's a sign of a good leader. You admit your wrong doing and learn from it so you can get it right next time.

2ndly Ize-Iyamu kept attacking Obaseki instead of answering straight questions. While Obaseki go straight to answers without attacking Ize-Iyamu. Obaseki only shaded Oshiomole for disqualifying him.

Political debate should be based on ideology and what to offer not coming on TV to throw irrelevant tantrums on opponents. Imaging calling Obaseki wasteful management. Ize-Iyamu was busy attacking Obaseki instead of coming out to tell us what he have for Edo people.
Perhaps, you expected Ize Iyamu to join Obaseki in attacking Oshomole who is not on the ballot paper.

Obaseki admitted he Sobe farm project is a failure. He also didn't deny that the Agenebode Rice project is not a failure. Obaseki seemed to have agreed with Ize Iyamu that he Obaseki didn't do anything as he didn't make any effort to put up any defence or rejoinder even when Seun gave him that window.
PoliticsRe: OBASEKI Versus IZE-IYAMU: Former APC chairman,Oyegun declares open Support by Kido90(m): 10:16pm On Sep 13, 2020
He, like everyone else has seen it that Obaseki is out of the game. Oyegun is trying to remain relevant by distancing himself on the eve of the election.

He has not worked for his party, the APC. He should be ready to submit to the Godfather.
PoliticsRe: Edo Governorship Election: Fear Of Rigging Rises by Kido90(m): 7:03am On Sep 13, 2020
The writer of the article should declare his stand. We know he is a PDP member and has sympathy for Obaseki. Tony Iredia didn't say anything about thuggery, intimidation of APC members when Philip and his boys were on rampage.

Rigging is part of our election process. Both parties rig elections. Obaseki benefited from it to become governor.

Let's move on please. September 19 is here already.

Yes, they all have that responsibility.

Kabaka could have been dealt with differently.

WATCHOVER:
Nice thread.

But my only concern is the way the Oba handled the peace process, which is a bad omen from the Palace, by specifically reprimanding only the governor and the deputy, was wrong Judgment which can heat up the fight as day draws near.
Failure on his part to also reprimand Kabaka, Oshiomhole who went about sending thugs to attack the governor most especially from Oshiomhole's village was a wrong step taken by the Oba.

From this scenario, it will be a persive sign that the Palace was aware and supported attack on the governor and other PDP entourage who were booed by APC supporters when they came to the Palace for blessings.

It high time the Palace knows that the voice of the people is the voice of God.

So I urge the Palace to be neutral and not let sentiments draw Edo State backward.

God bless Edo State.
God bless Nigeria
You're standing truth in its head.
The Oba said he has been following the case between the Gov and Oshiomole. That he tried resolving the issue at the brewing stage. But, Obaseki was not forth coming.

Oshiomole did not arrange the attack on the Gov in his village but Philip did. You saw pictures and videos of Phillip and his thugs invading Iyamo that day.

The shooting in Jattu the day before APC rally was carried out by PDP. They also destroyed the stage in Ihievbie and beat up APC members. This was done by Andrew, the LG Chairman who is very loyal to Philip.

The Oba has his intelligence. There are a litany of evil activities perpetuated by PDP known to the public.

Weep No More.

The Oba messed up by specifically mentioning the deputy governor without also reprimanding Kabaka, Oshiomhole who's thugs attacked the governor.
Seeing such a scenario you can't expect the other side to keep quiet.
I specifically do not support the Oba on this matter, this can heat up the fight in the state.
The Oba has his Intelligence. He called Philip based on this Intelligence.

Philip took and oat of Office. Kabaka is an ordinary citizen. Philip has a responsibility on his shoulder and must behave responsibly.

The Oba was spot on.

His inability to perform was because of his membership of APC. We would want to test him with PDP ticket as well. By the time he fails to perform after four years of being a PDP governor, I will personally invite you and other stakeholders at the National Stadium Abuja to declare Obaseki a failure.
So I am advising you to exercise some constraints let's try him with PDP ticket.
It is not about the party he belongs. Obaseki lacks ideas and unableto manage stakeholders. He failed in APC. He will fail more in Tax Collectors PDP.

We will see if he can make a reasonable speech in the campaign. Oshomole is no longer there to do all the talking and fighting for him.
