Well, Barcelona’s Sporting Director, Carles Rexach has revealed the football star wasn't at his best due to too much consumption of pizza. lol. Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau has not been caught for more than 3 years and President Jonathan has said he is optimistic that the military will capture Shekau within 6 weeks, that is before the March 28 election. lol. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday said that President Goodluck Jonathan may be working towards a controversial poll and possibly, exit from office, the same way former Ivorian president, Laurent Gbagbo, did in his country. Mr. Obasanjo, who said this during an interview with journalists at his Presidential Hilltop residence in Abeokuta, advised Mr. Jonathan not to destroy his name for selfish reasons. He also cautioned the President to do away with the phobia of the possibility of being dealt with by his successor after leaving office, and be weary of those surrounding him as the same set of people will deny him when the chips are down. Speaking further in the interview which lasted for 45 minutes, the former President said the sudden postponement of general elections was uncalled for, stressing that the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission Chairman, Attahiru Jega, was forced to do so. “The observable and what would appear to be happening is that the president has a grand plan, a grand plan to ensure that by hook or by crook, he wins the election or if it all fails, they scuttle it and create chaos, confusion and unpleasantness in the whole country,” Mr. Obasanjo said. “It is the duty and function and responsibility of the security officers to provide security. The President is the Chief Security of the country and he is the Commander-in-Chief and if security is required anywhere anytime, it is his duty to provide it, failure to provide it, is dereliction of duty, pure and simple.

A man who has been identified as being the manufacture of explosives used in a series of Boko Haram suicide attacks has been arrested in Yobe. A senior police officer who was involved in the arrest told AFP on today, Tuesday, that, the man, known only as Ba’na, was held in the Arikime area of Potiskum after several weeks of surveillance. Potiskum, the commercial capital of Yobe State, has been hit by a wave of bombings in recent months, including a suicide attack on a secondary school in November 10 in which 58 people were killed. On January 18, at least four people died in an attack on a bus station, while the previous weekend two women wearing suicide vests killed six people at a market and two died in a car bombing outside a police station. The police officer, who asked not to be identified because he is not authorized to speak, said Ba’na was in his mid-thirties and had admitted making the bombs.
“He confessed to being responsible for the manufacture of the explosives used in at least three suicide attacks and the car explosion outside the divisional police station,” he added.

According to a report on , Oloye Jumoke Akinjide, the Minister of State for Federal Capital Territory (FCT), called on the people of Oyo state have been urged to vote for President Goodluck Jonathan and all Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidates in February to ensure the creation of Ibadan state. Really. She made the call during PDP's campaign for Jonathan and Senator Teslim Folarin in Ibadan yesterday. Akinjide said that Jonathan had signified interest in the creation of the state and such would be achieved if re-elected and with Folarin as the governor of the state.
“You should please go out and convince others to collect their voter cards. Tell them to vote for Jonathan and Folarin. It is by doing so that we can get Ibadan state. Vote PDP, vote Ibadan state,” she said.

During the visit of the PDP campaign train to Ojodu area in Lagos State yesterday, packets of noodles, biscuits and sweets were shared/thrown to women and children in the streets to call their attention. According to reports, he gave up the ghost this afternoon around 4:15pm at a Lagos hospital after battling with kidney failure. Until his death, he was sourcing for funds privately to take himself abroad for medical treatment and he confided in his friends to keep the details on a low key. According to eyewitness, this dude on red boxers went to buy boxers and gave the seller N500, immediately the woman inserted the money in her wallet, all the money she had sold for the day disappeared. Shocked, she shouted ''Inor'! Inor'! (Thief! Thief). Unfortunately for the dude, soldiers were passing at the time. They chased and caught him, then they removed his clothes and made him swim in that gutter filled with dirty water. After whipping him with koboko, the money appeared back to the woman's purse.
