PoliticsRe: Ndigbo Are One Again. by kildran: 4:44pm On Dec 17, 2010
One 4 wat?? No point in singing rubbish from the same hymn book. To these people oneness does not signify unity bt rather a union of fools (without divergent ideas).

@Akin-Igboinferior

This is the last nail in Dora's coffin. We have always known her to be a cheap opportunist (Imagine a married woman cooking for another man). Thank God Yaradua was not strong enough or else water would have, , even then we cant say , Dora ko, Nora ni.
PoliticsRe: Say No To 'NAIJA' - Akunyili by kildran: 2:13pm On Nov 16, 2010
@Topic
Not is support aor against the idea, but I remember Reuben Abati (Whose insight on issues is revered in Nigeria) made a similar statement some months back. I am of the opinion that the people making this allusions should school us better as to why they have this opinion. Not in support of it!
PoliticsRe: Hon. Chinua Achebe And Nobel Prize Committee: The Brewing And Unending Cold War by kildran: 10:51am On Nov 13, 2010
@Kayci_d7

Yr arguments are nt strong, are u of the opinion that Achebe is better than the Nobel award, when he has gone for interviews conducted by the panel? Soyinka had a 3rd class from a Nigerian University, but he is a literary genius. If you think plays are easy try writing act 1 scene 1. Or why do you think Ahakespeare is revered?? Please let us not kid ourselves, Achebe is a good writer, but there are better writers all over the world.

@Ezeuche et al

All this talk about Achebe is sickening, Achebe is a brilliant writer. To be honest I believe his books are incontrovertibly the best for mainstream readers in Nigeria. Especially when one considers Wole Soyinka's style and his insistence that he doesn't write for all. Making "go get another book" one of his favorite mantras. However to think Achebe has been robbed of the prize is outlandish, infantile and baseless. There are so many good writers around the world, and I don't think I can conveniently say that Achebe is better than all past winners of the prize. You may want to say that if Soyinka has won the prize Achebe should also have won, but before you try to use this argument to recuse the panel, I will like to bring to your notice that Soyinka mostly writes plays, and Achebe writes novels. Plays are believed to be a tad difficult when compared with othr written literary works.

@Kawakazi

Are u tryn 2 b sarcastic? Mrs Ndi's sack is fait accompli. Your arguments are self defeating, just imagine that the woman is enjoying whilst many people are in debt due to her dereliction of duty (that is criminal negligence), she was literally in bed with bank MD's and Stockbrokers. Anyways, if you must know, KPMG and Oyebode did not sack her, the Securities Exchange did (and its being manned by an Ibo woman).

@Iyin and Obyann

So what exactly do u have against Cork? What is yr definition of a cultured man? Since u think Cork falls below the bar. Not holding brief for anyone, seriously want to know what intelligent babes think.
CelebritiesRe: Chidi Mokeme Loses Dad: by kildran: 3:15pm On Nov 11, 2010
@ Iyin

Are u by any chance taking Cork seriously?? Just being laughing myself off. I hope you guys continue the banter, though with a friendly spirit behind whateva u write!

PoliticsRe: Fela Supported Biafra by kildran: 6:59pm On Nov 06, 2010
EzeUche0:
I am just saying that there were Yorubas who supported Biafra. Wole Soyinka was thrown in prison for his support of Biafra. We cannot forget Yoruba activist like this.

Let us be honest with ourselves. And we should never forget about Biafra.
A bad idea in its totality. Do you want to obliterate your people, culture and values completely?
PoliticsRe: Fela Supported Biafra by kildran: 6:46pm On Nov 06, 2010
@Dapobear
You are really funny, trying to apologize. What exactly are you apologizing for? All is fair in love and war.
PoliticsRe: Fela Supported Biafra by kildran: 6:43pm On Nov 06, 2010
I really don't care about Fela or Biafra, as far as I know they are both dead. Let the dead bury the dead.
EducationRe: Sharia: VC Bans Hugging Of Female Students by kildran: 2:33pm On Oct 29, 2010
@Bluetooth

What exactly is your argument? Are you in support of the ban? If yes, whyhuh What are the adverse effects of hugging? Is it sex it in the public? Is there an aggreived party? Did women complain about it? How many courses are accredited by the NUC in this university? Why is the VC expending so much energy on a ban that is futile and self defeatist?
PoliticsRe: How Philip Emeagwali Lied His Way To Fame by kildran: 10:35am On Oct 22, 2010
@kETTYKINGS

Yr logic is apparently flawed. Why isn't there a similar thread for Emecheta? Achebe?Adichie? or Azikwe? NO DISRESPECT, BUT ARE THERE SO FEW ACHIEVERS AMONGST IGBOS THAT YOU WILL WANT TO DEFEND ONE? THIS IS A SURE SIGN OF PARANOIA AND LOW SELF ESTEEM (INFERIORITY COMPLEX).

@Onlytruth
It may surprise you to know that people over here that are not Nigerians know next to nothing about Emegwali, so they don't need to 'out' him.
@Warrior01
You must be very funny to have quoted DONITA BROWN (EMEGWALI'S COHORT). YOU SEE HOW WE THINK AS A PEOPLE? NO LOGIC WHATSOEVER. QUOTING A LIAR TO CREDIT ANOTHER. DO YOUR RESEARCH WELL!
PoliticsRe: How Philip Emeagwali Lied His Way To Fame by kildran: 3:45pm On Oct 20, 2010
@Ileke-ide
I cant find him guilty of any crime, but the guy is a smart liar. Finito.
PoliticsRe: How Philip Emeagwali Lied His Way To Fame by kildran: 3:30pm On Oct 20, 2010
Please if you think this is about tribalism, read Okey Iheduru's Comments on Emegwali. (Business Day) Emegwali got kicked out of his doctorate program for plagiarism, so what do we expect
PoliticsRe: How Philip Emeagwali Lied His Way To Fame by kildran: 3:21pm On Oct 20, 2010
Another article on the many lies of Emegwali:

http://234next.com/csp/cms/sites/Next/Opinion/5630922-146/deepening_democracy_fraud_and_the_emeagwali.csp

This guy has being trying to associate himself with a woman who accidentaly has the same surname has he does. Calling her, his wife
PoliticsRe: How Philip Emeagwali Lied His Way To Fame by kildran: 3:16pm On Oct 20, 2010
Emegwali's IQ: With all that has been found out about this man, I won't swallow this IQ gist hook, line and sinker. However even if found to be true, fraudsters are known to be some of the most intelligent people who are just lazy. So maybe the IQ gist is right, it may help label Emegwali appropriately.
@Papabaks
Keep celebrating him, no computer science student outside Nigeria knows this man. You had better work hard so that Nigerians will celebrate you. Look at Chiamanda Adichie, that lady is just lovely.

Pls dnt trump the racial card, na beg we beg u. If this guy had done the right thing we wont be drubbing him (Why are we not defaming Soyinka? or Achebe?). But when you do the wrong things for an easy way to fame this is what happens.
It may interest all to know that Mr Emegwali is now a simple motivational speaker!

So he has left the academic field for us.
