If we get at least a draw tomorrow against tico we'll move level on points with them on second for the super copa spot but easier said than done sha, atletico na werey for house

Bayern hardly let talents like Musiala leave. He’s the closest thing to Neymar in this age, one could argue.
Agreed but then again the competition in the bundesliga would either have to improve or Bayern would have to keep reaching the latter stages of the competition almost every time, every player has his own different dreams and motivations, he might decide to stay or decide to leave to the EPL as being rumoured when you consider the fact he's from chelsea and he played in the English youth teams too, Bayern would surely fight to keep a talent like him but there's little one can do if he wants to leave, just see the Davies conundrum now

They haven’t sold him yet so the sell-on clause hasn’t been activated. What if they hold on and sell him for peanuts at the twilight of his career?

But yeah, it’s always going to look like a robbery when a player performs exceptionally at their new club- even if the sale fetches you substantial sums. RvP to Man Utd, Declan Rice, even Bellingham look like steals.

I think Liverpool or City is interested in him, saw some reports either from sky sports Germany or plettenburg saying something about him wanting to leave some months back

Don’t think so

Florian writz or our boy should win this one
Wirtz is the favourite currently if musiala isn't eligible again, then there's the euros or other international competitions to factor, we'll have to have a deep run in the UCL plus yamal doing something in the euros if fit for him to beat the competition IMO before them use rigged shouts kill us

Musiala is a serious talent. Fantastic player.

12 of 16 dribbles (!) completed, 8 key passes, 3 big chances created, 2 goals and 1 assist. 2 big chances missed not enough to dent a perfect 10 rating.
To think he had his roots from your own academy grin Is he still eligible for the golden boy award?

My points exactly. Nothing to add. We have won one game convincingly now (Napoli), we feel we have arrived.

No team should be underrated. Every game should be taken as a final, unless we are satisfied with where we are and never thought we could do it in the first place. Just a few more wins and we'll be in the finals.
Yup that's my point let's just keep cool for now cause as much as I'll hate to admit it we still look weak in certain areas and are far off our legendary teams, no be say PSG themselves dey special but they currently have a game changer in mbappe if everything goes wrong plus lucho our former coach, utilizing the right tactics alongside taking our few chances can win this battle
Unless we win I'm staying grounded

He was crucial to our league title win last season as easily the best Lb in Laliga

It seems we won’t see him till next season
I swear chief, we for just pin am on top dembele cause cancelo go hear am
Xavi gats know how he go talk to cancelo or find someone to cover for him cause that space he leaves behind when he roams forward no be for pI$$g we fit run that one easily

Aside mbappe there is nothing scaring about psg

I am suppose to be scared of barcola or dembele grin

Should we talk about their midfield ? Lol

Bro make we no underestimate anybody ooh especially as we are in the quarters after a long time, dembele and barcola fit no score much but they'll bring dribbling, playmaking, speed plus they have a much better depth in attack than us, them kolo muani, Ramos, asensio, Kang in lee and you know how we dey usually suffer against teams with pace and transition on the counter, just the way they play, they are also ten points clear in Ligue 1 meaning they can afford to rest players
IMO I see us as slight underdogs just because of mbappe, I feel the limit to which our defence can stop him with causing total havoc and ter stegen putting in a world class effort unlike last time out will go a long way for us, but most of all we need a tactical masterclass from xavi especially as we're facing Enrique who last led us to the UCL
Second leg dem go come Spain so it's about as much damage limitation in France

I believe our defenders can keep their attack in check if they bring out their A game which they will.
But i tell you for a fact, psg has a very shambolic defense and they will suffer in our hands, especially since we have goal hungry attacking players now.
Yes their defence is shambolic but ours too not because we don't actually have good defenders but the defensive structure making us concede goals that sometimes shouldn't be conceded, xavi better knows how he'll configure his highline against pI$$G cause their attack fast die plus Enrique knows us in and out

Walai the ucl finals it’s on our hands

We need to work so hard to beat psg

Atletico Madrid dortmund una grin
If you see the way I dey vex when they did the first two draws my mind don tell me say na we get City
PSG is deadly with their speedy attack and of course the best player in the world mbappe but then again I'll rather be hopeful and take my chances knowing our path at this moment, But anything can happen so I'll wait for the games to play first

Because I understood that we have a limited squad, lacking in key functionalities. It was when Xavi finally put Christensen in the midfield to limit the floodgate of goals we were conceding, that things started looking up again tactically.

Of course, the second season dip in form is always there but I believe the team lacked personnel in key areas of the team unlike last season, which most coaches with Xavi's experience, will struggle to fix quite effortlessly. Remember this is his 2nd full year as a coach in a top European team.

Only issue I have is that he said his decision to leave at end of the season, is final. If I knew his house here in Barcelona, I would have gone to beg him to stay on grin because for me the only coach that will improve this current Barca side, other than Xavi, with the team having all key personnel in key areas, is Guardiola or Klopp. I am still undecided about Nanglesmann.
Anyone doubting what xavi had to work with should rejig it cause na patch patch squad we get, it's obvious we'll have to spend for the new manager in at least two positions, he just needs to improve his tactics which would come as time goes on, Nagelsmann is a modern coach and has more experience on the sidelines, my only fear is the competition for his signature and stubbornness
You live in Barcelona now?

Because of one win against a bad Napoli, xavi has become the best thing after sliced bread grin
Football fans sha.
Lol, I don hear xavi stay, xavi stay despite almost all the Catalan press jabbing him left right and centre during our bad runs of form, as for me I'll let the remaining games of the season especially in laliga decide that
Concerning the Napoli game we also lost several key players playing with a CB and a squad player in midfield, two teenagers either 16 and 17 years old plus they were also unbeaten since their new coach got appointed, if we took most of our chances both in the first leg and second leg we'll have trounced them with a larger score on aggregate cause we had more, playing Raphinha also on the LW was a masterstroke that destabilized them with his runs and energy so I think it's fair to give xavi his flowers for the win

Barça’s next few weeks of fixtures include Atletico Madrid, Las Palmas, Girona, Real Madrid, the CL Quarters, Valencia, and Real Sociedad …

This is gonna be some very bumpy ride in the coming weeks.

For Quarters finas, I won't mind getting one of the 'minnows' - Arsenal, Atletico Madrid or Borussia Dortmund.
Let the other big boys fight themselves.

Our target should be getting to Semifinals, not squaring up with any big boy to show we have arrived 😀

Right now, we're one of the minnows until we get a DM and RW 😂😂

Hopefully, Frenkie de Jong will be ready for this crucial run-in.
Don't underestimate anybody in the UCL chief, that same Dortmund topped the only group of death in the group stages ahead of PSG, AC Milan and Newcastle plus we've also tended to struggle against German based side in the past few years both in the UCL and Europa league, Arsenal also are definitely not minnows, I personally see them as favourites behind Man City and vardrid though anything can happen like inter going home yesterday, Atletico don get our number of every time we met in the KOs after 2015 but with that being said I'll still fancy our chances no matter how little against anybody but City

Oga Kilishi ,you are in super eagles thread where only few people speak the truth when a naija Player is involved .

We Barca fans criticized a veteran experienced inigo Martinez for allowing osimhen bully him ,but they don’t want us to praise a 17 year old kid who was the best player yesterday and stood his ground against osimhen

You go fear double standards nah grin
Lol my bro I dey try visit here sometimes as a silent viewer na so I can quite understand the osimhen views here to an extent, Inigo Martinez being bullied was even the reason why we saw that small kid in the lineup and he did a fantastic job cause fear wan catch me when I saw his name in the starting list, osimhen tends to sometimes struggle against defenders that can match his physicality or not give him quick time to act on the ball which was what Cubarsi did, it was even his run dragging the kid and araujo that opened up the Napoli goal, osimhen needs to leave Napoli yes but he also has to go back the drawing board and work on his runs and positioning for more effect, the dragging wey e collect yesterday pain me no be small

Yeah, With everyone fit, Pedri should not start important games. Fitness should be the goal

A midfield 3 of Fdj, Xtensen and Gundo is okay., Fermin on that left position, where Felix plays and Yamal on the right.

Pedri can always come in to add more control. His goal right now should be his fitness. I wasn't really counting on him but just had to mention him.
Yes this should be our preferred midfield going forward, we saw how balanced they were in the Napoli first leg game, Pedri's gametime should be managed gradually until he can get back to full fitness

First leg someone almost times two of that boys age was bullied by osimhen just before his goal. Against real madrid shebi rudiger held hlm down well both home and away? Sometimes we just have to know things won't go the way we want it plus he also has to leave Napoli since he looks to have outgrown them.

Very good ooh cause Costa is a good penalty expert, and raya too, even got a hand to the second Porto penalty scored, I'm sure few teams will be willing to go to penalty kicks with them as of now but then again penalties can be a game of Russian roulette
