Akwa Ibom state Government have began the construction of a 21 storey building for offices.

Speaking on efforts so far to ensure relocation of offices of International Oil Companies to the state, Commissioner of information Udoh said the ongoing 21-storey building embarked upon by Governor Udom Emmanuel would have state-of –the art facilities for offices.

"We know how much ExxonMobil is paying as tax to Lagos State government. Now we are constructing a 21 storey building with the intention to gradually increase it to about 30. This is a smart building with standard facilities for a modern office. So ExxonMobil would no longer have any excuse for not relocating to the state”. he said

This is not true, except to you,site clearing means the same thing as commencement of building. But to me,except a block is put on a block,or at least foundation is layed or concrete casting of the structure is done, building can not be said to have commenced.In this case, building has not commenced.Lets not promote lies and deceits, they are people who may innocently rely on this information.

talk like u dont know, in abuja,its terrible.i was attached to one, he paid nothing.even though i within one omth of working there, helped secure three jobs that paid out N150k - N300k, he gave me 10% of the first N150.i never intended to start practice upon penury,so i ditched the firm,its all in the books.i go to other seniors as friends and associates now,and im really learning on my own.if the job wud pay,there is a readily available senior who wud put u tru for a fee.so what the heck, i can negotiate,go to court,read,research and do virtually all what is in the precedent books and as laid down by the gurus in the legal profession.so i got myself a law firm,a secretary and two juniors and im 3 years into practice.lol

IS IT WRONG TO SAY "HAPPY BIRTHDAY"?
From the intense crucible of my critical thinking,amongst other things,i have analized once again and have come to the conclusion that the expression "birthday" as commonly used is grammatically inappropriate.

The correct position is that the actual day one is born is the birthday,the turn of a year is the ANNIVERSARY of the person's birth and NOT his BIRTHDAY.

Same goes for marriage,the wedding day is the day the person is wedded.The turn of a year is the wedding anniversary.

Enough said.Henceforth,
Wish someone a HAPPY BIRTH ANNIVERSARY, NOT a "happy birthday".

My brother, marriage your is more important than the ceremony, the decorations, the harsh response of your wife and whatever is making you angry.Call your wife, sit her down and resolve matters.Dont go to prove who was right, rather convince her on why peace should be.
