PoliticsNiger Delta Avengers Unveils Own Currency Note, Dumps Biafra As Nigeria's Unity by Kindluv3(op): 5:38pm On May 27, 2016
The Nigeria unity as a nation has more again threatened as Niger Delta secessionist shunned the much clamoured BIAFRA, which they were to be part of, to unveil own different currency in vowing to break away from Nigeria, Current News Now reports

The separatists' feelings and aspirations which resulted in the ongoing bombing of oil and gas facilities in the region have eventually found expression in unveiling its ‘national’ currency. Militants have been carry out attacks on oil and gas facilities of multinational oil corporations in the region the very latest being Chevron facility at its Escravos terminal on Thursday.

Niger Delta Avengers which have claimed responsibility for the attacks have vowed to stop at nothing until a sovereign state of the Niger Delta is actualized.

According to report, much has been done to the region’s ecosystem resulting from the operations of oil companies in the region and that every hue and cry raised so far to draw the government’s attention to their predicament has fallen on deaf ears, a source who spoke to our source on condition of anonymity said

Hence, the action to secede from Nigeria become absolutely necessary to save communities in the neglected region from gradual extinction , the report further said

On the said unveiled currency note with one Pound United Kingdom symbol was inscribed, Bank of Niger Delta, The Republic of Niger Delta.

Will they achieve this? Time will tell

In our earlier report, the secessionist has few days ago ordered all it nationality in other parts of Nigeria to return home, threatened secession and declaring war on Nigeria.

The threat which was contained in a statement signed by one Col Mudoch Agbinibo, who claims to be the group’s spokesperson, listed, among others, General T.Y Danjuma, Alhaji Maidiribe, Colonel Sanni Bello, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, Prince Ado Bayero, and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as those who would have their oil interests blown up if they do not quit.

In a veiled threat to declare a country of their own, the group said that it would, by October 16, display a currency, flag, passport, the ruling council and territory to the world. It beckoned on the United Nations “to free the people of the Niger Delta from environmental pollution, slavery, and oppression.”

“We want a country that will turn the creeks of the Niger delta to a tourism heaven, a country that will achieve its full potentials, a country that will make health care system accessible by everyone. With Niger delta still under the country Nigeria we can’t make it possible,” the group said.

RomanceSo Why Do Good Women Fall For Bad Men? by Kindluv3(op):
We have a heard the phrase "women love bad guys", but we don't know why!. A lot of people have adduced some reasons they believe beautiful, intelligent and well brought up ladies often profer gangsters for relationships. Some say it because humans are often attracted to people who are just the opposite of what we are because we think by associating with them, we add to what they have. But is it true?

It is further explained introverts are often attracted to extroverts for the same reasons good women fall for bad men.

In a list compiled by a relationship expert, some of the best reasons why good women fall for bad men include:

Painful early memories.

Women who grew up in dysfunctional families and were abused or unloved especially by their fathers grow up with emotional pain. They are unconsciously attracted to the sort of men their mothers had and fall into a cycle of dating bad men who would create similar painful past in their attempt to heal their past.

For such women the greater the pains in their relationship, the more their early memories are activated and the stronger they hold on to the relationship.

If you try to get them out of the relationship they ignore you because what normally feels bad feels good to them.

They ignore all good men because they think these men are boring and unattractive. They feel bored and unsatisfied with good men because good men do not create the environment that heals their past.

Low self-esteem.

Some women do not know what to look for in a relationship. They pick bad men and think all men are bad and that there are no good men left.

She puts all the problems in her relationship on herself and thinks it is because she is not doing enough. She is prepared to sacrifice everything to keep her relationship

Women with low self-esteem have love addiction. They are obsessed with love and think a relationship is the focus of life.

They have no reason to leave bad men because they think their relationship defines them and without it they are nobody. They are unwilling to give up bad men for good men.

Challenge.

Women want confident, charismatic, confident and brave men (and also men who take risks) to protect them.

Bad men are not afraid to get into trouble and are seen as attractive because they have seemingly powerful aura. By associating herself with a bad man, some women feel powerful – by association.

Bad men keep things interesting. You never get bored with a bad guy who has a sense of humour. He seeks attention and makes you feel desired, loved and s3-xy. He is also unpredictable because you never know what he is going to do next.

Women love surprises! Sadly some think if a bad man makes you feel good, you should stay with him and try to change him. They try unsuccessfully to change the wrong man into the right man.

Seek help

If you are aware you are predisposed to going out with bad men, appreciate you have a big problem and seek help. Fact is you can never change another person. A man with bad traits will always be a bad man. He will always be selfish and put his interests ahead of you.

No matter how good you are you can never get a good relationship with a bad man. You must therefore, never keep your life on hold for a bad man in an attempt to change him.

If you are in a bad relationship you know it. Be bold and leave. Look for one who shares your dreams. A bad man can never be a good lover.

Agree, or you have better reasons? Lets share.

Nairaland GeneralNo Nigerian Should Go To The Bank Or Use ATM On March 1 - Groups Protest by Kindluv3(op): 1:42pm On Feb 16, 2016
Two pressure groups – the Consumer Advocacy Foundation of Nigeria (COFAN) and the Coalition of Nigerian Consumer Protection Associations – have called on all Nigerians to observe a “no banking day” on March 1st and avoid all forms of banking services nationwide.

The call to boycott banking services was made at a press briefing on Monday by the president and founder, CAFON, Sola Salako; and founder, Market Ombudsman, Dr. Ope Banwo, where the groups lamented new charges and stamp duty recently introduced by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) which the groups believed it is illegal.

“There should be no visit to the Automated Teller Machines or the banking halls that day,” Salako said.
The CAFON founder who also described the new charges as excessive, said, “For many years now, customers of banking services have endured excessive charges, unexplainable fees and unfair contracts that only protect the banks but do not protect the consumers.

“Banks debit customers’ accounts at will for charges we never agreed to or were not aware of; they charge us for everything; some banks are charging N210 for the use of deposit and transfer forms in their branches!”

The groups also complained that the CBN has frequently introduced banking policies without notice instead of doing better at regulating the sector as well as protecting customers from exploitation. They added that it was disappointing to see hitherto abolished fees being reintroduced by the CBN under new names.
Salako said, “It appears that the banking sector is operating a price fixing cartel called the Bankers’ Committee superintended by the CBN where they determine how much to charge for what.”
The groups also faulted the recently introduced maintenance fees for current accounts and ATM cards as well as the N50 Stamp Duty, maintaining that the flat levy of N50 for every transaction from N1,000 was not equitable and amounted to taking from the poor to enrich the wealthy.

“A student who receives an allowance of N2,000 pays the same amount as a rich man who receives a deposit of N10m! So, the student is technically paying more taxes than the rich man. That is inequitable and unfair,” Banwo said.

Nairaland GeneralWho Will Save Warri From Its Rot? A Most Read by Kindluv3(op):
THE story of Warri city has been told so many times, a city that has given so much, yet got so little in return, with a giant sized reputation and wallowing in penury, a happy people, hospitable and full of live, yet dying slowly. Who will save Warri from its rot? You cannot see a Warri boy – wafarian – anywhere and not take notice; his unique pidgin english language, his braggadocio, his vigour and yes, his jokes.

The wafarian lives by joking and ‘yabbing’, which is the kernel of his social interactions. Before now, you cannot claim to be a super star without coming to Warri, the days of Lido nite club, Zeinanite club and others. The city was safe – 24 hours groove and hospitality. Warri was infact a no man’s land as there was no ethnic discrimination of any kind.
Even during the Nigerian civil war, Warri was neutral, that shows the extent of generosity that this small but significant city possess. But all of these are now in the past, a first time visitor to Warri will be appalled by the state of squalor, dereliction, abuse and total neglect. There is no single sign of governance. What previous governments like the Ogbemudia regime had put in place now lie waste; roads in various degrees of disrepair, dirty and cramped houses, roads are blocked at will for flimsy of reasons.
Yet, there are at least four main police stations, an army and naval bases and other security agencies. No functional local government, one is told that they have not received salaries for over seven months, no health and sanitary inspectors, deplorable roads and multiple abandoned road projects. Warri is now a shadow of its old self. As a result of the vibrancy of the wafarian, everyone from the old Bendel state wants to be known as a wafarian but those days are gone. Who will save Warri from its dire state?

It is a very serious matter. People are dying daily and more are to follow due to neglect. The politicians are only seen during elections and when that is over, everyone goes back to his tent.
Even before oil, Warri was a commercial city, as a trading post right from the colonial times, so you hear of “the commercial city of Warri” before it became “oil city.” Now businesses have packed up and Warri is now at ground zero level. Is the situation redeemable? I think it is because the Warri man has a resilient spirit, never say die but this can only yield dividend under an atmosphere of peace and co-operation. Are the warlords ready to let Warri be? Are the fake resource control protagonists ready to be fruitful? Is the Delta state government ready to give Warri its due consideration and institute a Marshall plan to revamp the city? Are the various traditional leaders in Warri and environs ready to put heads together and work towards a common goal of progress for the metropolitan city of Warri? Because, Warri as it is today, is an agglomeration of towns, not the small restricted Odion, Okere, Erejuwa areas of those days. Are we ready to shed sword and work for peace and progress?
We cannot find solutions if we are unable to identify the causes of our present circumstances; the needless ethnic conflicts and corrupt politicians who have put personal pecuniary interests over development of the collective- I understand the past governor has gone underground because everywhere he goes, he is now greeted with chants of “who you help”. The electricity distribution company owners in Warri are happy when there is black out as they make more money working on estimated billings, which is stealing by trick.

The beneficiaries of the conflicts are now multi billion naira tycoons, people who promoted and executed the ethnic crises are now living in opulence, flouting it before the helpless citizenry, with official security men as their body guards while the helpless and law abiding people watch.
How do we save Warri from this rot? Warri has produced so many great men; past administrators, successful businessmen and professionals in all areas of human endeavour, what can we give back to Warri? The governor of state, IfeanyiOkowa must realise that a comatose Warri city is not in the interest of Delta state. In fact, if Warri sneezes, the whole Delta state feels it. That is why he must call his cabinet together and arrange for re-engineering of the city of Warri, like he has done for Asaba.
Warri city needs a new drainage plan, roads rehabilitation, public schools resuscitation, sanitary and health attention, completion of abandoned projects and the elimination of unviable projects embarked upon by the previous administration, especially in the Effurun-Warri express stretch. Those BRT projects should be re-evaluated, local governments must be encouraged to function as the state government cannot do it alone. Let us see and experience law and order.

It is the responsibility of the present government to ensure that Warri city is brought back to its glory days. Without doubt, the entire state, nay the nation will profit from the city’s rebranding.
