bros but ibani issue is complicated oh not like wakrike or kalabari were igbo influence is only maternal. infact many jumbos harts etc are from abia eg. uche jumbo
There's a difference between Jumbo and Jombo.
Bonny bears Jumbo not Jombo.
Moreover, ibos don't answer compound/family names. They bear their father's name or whatever surname he chooses, while we in Rivers bear Compound names. A name thats past on from generation to generation.
Show me a Hart and I'll tell you where that person is from in Rivers state.
Show me a Briggs and I'll tell you where that person is from. And so on.
Ibos bear anything their father chooses to answer.

i dont understand your logic, the fact is that many riverine/ijoid people from riverers state speak and undetstand igbo. i am in bonny now and many pepple bearing people here speak good igbo.
We know how Ibo language became popular in bonny via slave trade. That doesn't make the pepples, Stowes, Benstowes, Harts, Jumbos, Oko-Jumbos and many more Ibos.

his point about igbo influence in riverine rivers state(supposedly ijo areas) is that u cant come to ogu town, bonny, degema etc and starting insulting indigenes with igbo cause many of them will understand your igbo insults UNLIKE patani escravos gbaramatu(ijo lands in delta).
He has no point.
He should tell his ibo brothers to remain in their enclave and stop causing nuisance everywhere in Rivers State.

This thread is about Oyigbo. He should stick to it and stop extending his lies southwards.

oga you are contradicting your self he is talking about igbo influence in abuloma(which you agreed that many wifes and mothers there are igbo),not whether abuloma are of abua and wakrike origin. secondly i think you are fooolish use that word SE to describe igbo cause many of us upland rivers people marry from riverine areas(mind u we are mainly igbo speaking).
If at all you and him have sense then you will know that you and your ibo brothers always want to show yourself whereever you go.
He heard people speaking ibo in Abuloma and Fimie and concluded that they are indigenes, but refused to hear the ibibio and other languages prominent there.

I shake my head in disgust at your level of understanding.

Come to Amadi-ama down to Tere-ama, abuloma and even okuru you will here different languages spoken by outsiders who live there and not just ibos.
The local dialect in those places is Okrika with Abua in Abuloma.

such is no longer obtainable in present rivers. many ikwerre presently identify as simply igbo ie. cheif isaac wonwu and co. at the last ikwerre political meeting at presidential hotel i was surprised many wore red caps,i even thought they were from etche cause etche chiefs love wearing red caps.
Wearing red cap now makes one ibo.
I have learnt a new thing from you.
Whenever I wear a red cap I am ibo.
Whenever I put on a suit I'm a white man.
Wow.... everyday I learn something new. grin
PoliticsRe: RIVERS 2019: Ndoki-igbo Should Produce Next Governor by Kinematics:
Normality:
When I was in Femie Abuloma, quite a good number of the indigenes speak and communicate with Igbo, how is that so?
Which idigenes speak Ibo?
All the Ibos you see in either Fimie or Abuloma are from the SE.
So you didn't hear people speak Ibibio?
Neither did you hear people speak Hausa.
Na only ibo you hear.
Fimie is a clan of Ogoloma, in mainland Okrika, though they have lots of Ibo mothers.
Abuloma is a mixture of Abua and Okrika and in Abuloma asides their local dialect you hear more of Abua.
All other languages including your ibo is from outsiders not indigenes.

So 99% of the people you see speaking either ibo, Ibibio, Hausa or any other language to themselves are not indigenes of Abuloma or Fimie.
If you had said this of Amadi-ama I would have agreed.
In Amadi-ama majority of the old mothers there are Ibos married by rivers men, who from time to time have brought their siblings from the SE to come get a better life, making the ibo population there to be high and presently competing with Okrika which is the local language.

Moreover when I was in Enugu some of the indigenes communicate in Hausa, how is that so? grin

I think Hilda Dokubo, the actress, is from Ogu-Bolo.

Hilda Dokubo is from Asari-toru LGA in other word she is of Kalabari.

We finally arrived at the D-day; I've enjoyed this show and the entertainment it served both from the HMs and their warring fans. As this show went on two HMs I didn't give a chance totally won me over; one by pity (majorly), and the other by her talent, determination and entertainment value. Two people I didn't actually like but came to love as the days turned into weeks and the weeks into months.

Bisola: When this show started, she's never my favorite. I didn't like her. I used to see her as that aggressive and lousy ill-trained market woman2. She wasn't even attractive to me. I used to wish she was evicted earlier. Then I saw her talent, saw her passion, saw her flaws and without any explanation, I started loving this lady. When she's being bashed severally on the social media, I saw myself defending her. It's like I was in her shoe and it cemented the love I had for this lady. Sometimes I ask myself, is there something she cannot do? Listening to her few days ago as she mounted the podium to canvass for votes, I felt emotional. This girl is not just a bunch of talent, but a hustler. An inspiration to me personally. I was shocked to discover she never went to the university because of lack of funds. When I heard her say that I was very angry at our useless, heartless and retardëd looting leaders that have ran this country aground and made it hard for ordinary citizens to get the basic education that they need. If she's in saner clime, I'm sure she'd have seen opportunities to attend the university. Despite all these, she never looked down on herself. She even sound more eloquent than many graduates out there. That's a definition of a hustler right there. I mean, Bisola took her 7 months (or is it 7 days, I can't really recall) old baby to go and audition for Big Brother 8 years ago. This lady has been striving to be better than she was in the past all her life. And it hurts me deep down that I can't afford to send her to that film school she so desires, but I pray that either by her own money or that of a sponsor, that she'll get to realize that dream. No matter what happens today, win or not, Bisola will always be a winner and an inspiration to me.

Debie-Rise: Along with Uriel, Miyonse and Marvis, Debie-Rise was among the least HMs that I like. I disliked her and so wanted her out of the house. Even Uriel later grew a bit on me, but Debie didn't. More than a month and I still didn't like her. Then it all changed. Out of sympathy and the way her fans were campaigning for her, I decided to go against my vow and vote her. In that week, very late in the game, I came to love this lady greatly. I just couldn't explain where the love came from but neither did I care. Of course she has her flaws which makes her human, but she's a lady with an extremely good heart. Very emotional and wears her heart on her sleeve. Out of nowhere, I found myself watching her videos on YouTube, I mean even her Nigerian Idol performances. She totally changed my perspective of her. The way she handled the Tboss national anthem drama was very mature. Cool, calm and collected. At the end even TBoss had to realize she had a good friend in her and apologized. Many people would have engaged in a cussfest, but she stayed calm and passed her points across maturely. And she's very determined and goal-oriented. She lost weight to stay fit for her career and passion. She was so determined that she ran away from home to achieve her dreams. She's able to convince her dad that she needed to be on this show. She's brave enough to admit she suffered low self-esteem in the past and fought her way through it. How this lady went from my least favorite to my top 4 alongside Efe, Bisola and TBoss all within a week, I just can't explain. I mean Bally was up and I was voting Debie-Rise more than him. She totally won me over and I know her future looks bright. Even if she loses today, she'll win post-BBN. The ultimate winner for me is the one that wins (goes on to achieve success) months after this show is over, and my money is on Debie-Rise or Debie-Beans grin as I love to call her, to achieve this feat.

Good luck to all the finalists, they all should be proud to have come this far no matter who wins or loses.

that girl is a survivor and she definitely can't be buried. I mean look at their positive attitudes all through the weeks they were up for possible eviction back to back. they didn't allow it break them like it did others!
who would have thought that Debie and TBoss will make it to the finalz? it was like a lost cause but against all odds, they made it.
To the fans of these 2 beautiful ladies, I doff my hat to you. you guys are the real deal. an indomitable force. God bless you all.

What do you expect her to say when Efe has shown her nothing but hate.
Debbie liked the guy genuinely,i remember her once telling biggie that she wanted Efe and Bassey at the finals so they could showcase the their talent more, but Efe spit on the poor girl and rewarded Her kindness with evil, jealousy and gossip.
Your stupid Efe might win the game because he manipulated people like you but trust me he will never be the artiste Debbie will be .Even DJ exclusive was dissing the wack rapper subtly by playing 30 secs of his horrible songs and almost finished Debbie and bisola's .
Will take Debbie's song to my DJ friend on Monday, I only need to buy him a couple of beers and he will blast the song like there is no tomorrow. All the who is who at lekki come to that joint and hopefully one of them will start asking questions.
As for Efe, good luck to him . undecided
Her obsession for Efe made her to nominate Marvis week after week to get her out of the way. But as fate may have it Marvis stood strong till today.
Even her Bassey stunts were just ways of helping herself after failing severally on getting Efe.
