Sorry bro. In any new business ,one gradually learns how its operated whether by mistake(scam) or by any other means.

Try and get funds from friends or family to get her deworm or whatever you call it so she can start eating well.

My mum is into this business with her friend. Their 2 pigs just put to bed last month about 13 piglets.

Stay focused and make sure you don't repeat same mistake later.

I'm one of the youths who believe in working hard and being smart. One of my new year resolutions is to venture into farming starting with a pig farm, it took me months to get the structure done on the farm. I was so happy the very day I floored the pig pen knowing fully well that my dream is about to come to pass.

After getting the pig pen set, I began the journey of looking for farmers who has the right breed then I came across husband and wife who told me they have hybrids(duroc breed and large white) my joy knew no bounds cause I know it's one of the best breed to start with, the day came when I went to get the pig, I got there very late due to some circumstances from my driver who drove me there. I saw the pigs in their farm and was asked to pick one out of the pigs, I picked one and paid.


It was getting late and I know it's gonna be difficult getting the pig feed, so I asked the woman to give me some feed that can carter for the pig till the following day then she flare up, she said she can't that she can only give me cassava peels, mumu me didn't see any bad in that since it's just for the night then I will get the pig her feed the following morning. We jet out to my farm and I feel relived that finally I've begun my journey as a pig farmer. I gave the cassava peel to the animal and pour water for her and also wet her body. Stayed with her for some minutes before leaving because it's getting extremely late already and I need to be awake early the following day.


I was awoken by a call from a brother that my pig has ran out of the pen, the sadness that surge out of me is out of this world, I began to pray to God to help my life. I rushed to the farm, do the necessary blocking that needed to be done to avoid reoccurrence. I went in search of her feed afterward but was unable to get her processed feed due to my area and also because its Sunday. I later settled for wastes like, the back of watermelon, banana peel, pineapple peel and others. I noticed that she ate them with joy while leaving the cassava peel untouched which means she left the pen because she was hungry in the first place.


Monday morning came and I surge out looking for where to get pkc, I was so happy after getting her 100kg worth of pkc but guess what? She never touched it. I called the woman immediately to express my displeasure to her, she began to prophesy that I should goan get her growers feed and mix it with the pkc that she will eat it. I used my last card to do as instructed by her but the results still remain negative,I began to search online what remedy I can profound since calling her yields no result. I finally got some help which is to deworm the pig and administer vitamins for her. I remember that she said she has deworm the pig already that I should deworm her again by May.

In conclusion, I finally realized that she hasn't been feeding her pigs on any processed feed other than waste foods. I felt betrayed by that finding which made me to wonder why some farmers are like that especially when they know that you are newbie in the game. I sent the pic of the pig to a friend of mine in another state and he said I bought a local breed instead, that revelation almost crippled me and made me mad especially now that I am broke and don't know how to go about deworming the pig.


But for real, we need to change as farmer, we need to do better. Personally, I can't do this to my fellow human being especially a newbie that's just starting. I've been depressed for days cox the animal has refused to eat

Why am I having this weird feeling that this man will lose again? He lacks basic knowledge about governance, he thought politics is all about being emotional. He could have looked for someone younger with much influence to be his running mate but instead went ahead to pick an old cargo without much influence like him. Abeg make I go look for my daily bread abeg

Buhari is a very nice man but he is not fit to be a leader. A leader is someone who is proactive in all his dealings and affairs. How can he wait till die minutes before he organizes this kinda meeting? How I wish another party takes over from these evil-infested parties!
