In politics there is no permanent friend or enemy but permanent interest. This is mistake u guys from the south east are still making today. U have made other tribes ur permanent enemies. Awolowo made his decision based on his interest which superceded what ojukwu was offering him. It is not an act of cowardice except u want to tell me u dont know the meaning of cowardice. This is one of the words u people misuse alot on awolowo. Politicians reneging their promises happens every day in nigerian politics. The problems Mimiko and pdp have today in ondo state is a good example which ofcourse did not start today. Remenber ex-gov Ngige of anambra and his god-fathers clash when he was a governor and u can remember what happened thereafter. U should be old enough to remember the story if not check google.
