A trending coalition between Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has ignited fresh conversations across Nigeria’s political space as the country gears up for the 2027 general elections. Recent meetings, including Peter Obi’s Eid visit to Kwankwaso in Kano, combined with Kwankwaso’s reported move from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), have fueled speculation of a joint ticket. Supporters chant “Obi-Kwankwaso” at rallies, while analysts debate whether this pairing could reshape the nation’s future. This potential partnership draws strength from complementary bases: Obi’s appeal among urban youths, the Southeast, and reform-minded Nigerians via the “Obidient” movement, and Kwankwaso’s formidable “Kwankwasiyya” grassroots structure in the North, particularly Kano and the Northwest. Together, they could bridge Nigeria’s persistent North-South divide, consolidate opposition votes that split in 2023, and challenge the incumbent All Progressives Congress (APC) more effectively than fragmented efforts. In my view, this Obi-Kwankwaso partnership holds genuine potential to be strong and transformative. Both leaders project images of competence and relative integrity in a landscape often marred by allegations of corruption and inefficiency. Obi, the former Anambra governor, emphasizes fiscal prudence, human capital development, and a shift from consumption to production. Kwankwaso, a two-term Kano governor and former senator, commands loyalty through visible investments in education, infrastructure, and grassroots empowerment during his tenure. The Strength of the Partnership An alliance could merge these strengths into a compelling “third force” narrative. In 2023, Obi and Kwankwaso together garnered significant votes—Obi’s Labour Party performance surprised many, while Kwankwaso’s NNPP showed regional muscle. And talking about obeying laws, from this writeup we should thus urge the FG to release Nnamdi Kanu if the court says they should. The consequences of any hazard with him might lead to crisis like what happened in the past. And from this post its obvious the coup plotters in 1966 never had an agenda to promote Igbo supremacy but were purely focused on redirecting the path of the nation. For Mr Dele he has already left an indelible mark in the sands of time. He now has a name.. |
If from all we have seen so far with Peter Obi and Adeyanju still goes ahead to associate Obi with devil then he is not yet ready to tell himself the bitter truth. He should continue on his path of being half intelligent. |
I'm using this medium to gain knowledge on how to access binance in Nigeria via my laptop or phone. Please anyone with this information should help me out here. Thanks |
We are indeed a people living a life of diverse anomalies. The word anomaly simply means a deviation from what is normal. Please can one explain in plain English how 500 human beings will be herded like cattle and they will disappear into thin air. Please is their any place on earth where such can happen. Which part of the world my fellow human beings will daily killings be reported and we continue as though it is not an anomaly. Our senators drive the latest cars and they have fleets of such expensive 'automobiles' and the masses are not bothered. They use our common wealth to build estates, take vacations abroad and laugh to our faces. Our governors with the so called immunity they have commit all sorts of illegal acts and we all turn a blind eye. In the US a governor was forced to resign from office based on an accusation of rape. But in our dear Nigeria, one man can appropriate the whole state budget for his personal use and nobody coughs or utters a word. A big shame indeed to the people that occupy this geographical space. Today the word 'japa' has entered our vocabulary. Our people will rather run away than fight for their rights. Some will say if you have the money japa for your generation. Meanwhile the japaing individual is running to another man's house that stood and fought for the good of his generation. For how long will we continue to hide behind one finger. Is it not high time we told ourselves the truth about the existence of this geographical entity that has brought only sorrow, tears and blood. The forces pulling us apart are far stronger than the forces pulling us together. Even language that acts as a glue in most thriving nations is lacking here. Seccessionist groups are daily growing stronger and rapidly multiplying. What will really happen before we come together and take a firm and defining decision as regards our existence. We need to tell ourselves the plain truth.... |
As we ponder on the latest and trending event in Africa let's look back in history. Bad leadership, corruption, insecurity and poverty have consistently been the reason for coups. Until Africa address these issues, coups might continue to be a recurring incidence. Within the past 2 years Africa has recorded 4 coups and they all point to one thing; ineffective leadership. Following up on documented history is a panacea for societal advancement and awareness. We gain insight from historical events to circumvent the pitfalls that are unfortunately inevitable in our world of today... This article delves into the first coup in Africa, which took place in Togo in 1963. It narrates the events leading up to the coup, the political tensions, and the tragic assassination of President Sylvanus Olympio. The coup marked a turning point in Togo's history, leading to the rise of a military dictatorship under Gnassingbé Eyadéma. The article explores the broader implications of this event on African politics and governance, shedding light on the complexities of post-independence struggles. https://horizonafrica..com/2023/07/the-dark-genesis-togos-inaugural-coup.html?m=1 |
This is the worst of it. Chai. My heart bleeds whenever I see such destruction and mutilation of a human being. When will leaders across Nigeria rise up against this daily loss of lives in our dear country. When will the youths say no to the bastardization of their future. When will our mothers take to the streets to protest the killing of their children and grandchildren. For all those stations across Nigeria showing us daily reports of the war in Ukraine while it's own home is in flames shame on all of you. God has given a sense of reasoning and intuition but we don't seem to make us of it. Through our the 7 years of this government, not one fulani herdsman is in court or in jail. Does it mean they are spirits or ghost. Our one Nigerianist please over to you guys, I guess this is just one of the handwork of IPOB. Later you will all them wailers. |
SmartProf:You are very funny. You're more concerned about semantics than the actually catastrophe these monsters could cause with fuel tankers. Have you considered the ramming of a fuel tanker into a market square. Please security operatives should take this seriously to avert this. |

Now let’s leave Mr. Spender for a moment and focus on someone I will prefer to call Mr. Wise. The action of Mr. wise is the main reason why I was prompted to narrate these incidents. Mr. Wise is the elder brother to a very good friend around my area. I had met Mr. Wise in 2019 when I tried convincing him to invest in real estate with our company. He already had bought some properties somewhere in Lagos in two different locations but promised to call on me if he needed another. Unfortunately, in 2020 due to the covid-19 pandemic, he lost his job in one of the shipping companies operating at Apapa. An opportunity along the line came up to travel to Canada. Guess what Mr. Wise did? Mr. Wise sold one of his properties which fortunately had been in a location that was overtaken by rapid development. The access road leading to the area was constructed by the Lagos government. This singular act positively affected properties around as Mr. Wise sold his property which he bought in 2016 at more than 3 times the amount he bought it. Mr. Wise then used the proceeds from that sale to fence his second property and thereafter used the reminder to move himself and his family to Canada in April this year. While chatting with him on WhatsApp he said something that provoked this write-up. He said and I will quote him verbatim, “That land purchase I made in 2016 was the smartest investment move I ever made. If I had more money then perhaps, I would have bought more especially when you brought your offer”. He further stated that he plans to work in Canada for a while and then build a house on his second plot. At least for his children's sake. When you juxtapose these two personalities the difference is just very clear in terms of their approach to life and finance. It seems our present generation does not understand the importance of real estate and investments. But will rather waste their money in clubs, hotels, and what have you. That’s not to say that enjoying and spending your money is bad but it makes no sense when more is spent lavishly rather than making investments. Investing in real estate is probably the easiest way to invest your money and create generational wealth. So long as due diligence is followed real estate is probably the easiest form of investment that comes with little risk. |
Your opinion is needed here. Please oblige me by reading this write up. I believe the lessons and take-aways will benefit you and me in the long-run. So, some months back, In March this year I was in a bar with a friend somewhere in Lagos with a friend of mine and we were having a drink. some 45 minutes later there was a commotion-like situation around the hotel as a guy in his mid-30s with his entourage of about 7 guys approached the bar. It was quite obvious that the bar attendants and everyone working in the hotel all wanted to get close to this guy. As he was ushered into the bar some persons who knew him made efforts to sit close to where they sat. I tried to make sense of all that was going on until his actions afterward declared what he was. I will call this young man Mr. Spender as he ordered expensive drinks and even ordered drinks for everyone seated close to where he was. Incidentally, we were seated close to them and thus benefitted from his benevolence. My friend then gave me a brief history of this guy; he had come by through so much money through means that is none of my business. So, with this huge amount of money, he became recognized in his neighborhood and according to what I was told had lodged in a hotel for about 2 months. I tried to do a little calculation of how much this man would have spent in a hotel at a conservative rate of N10,000 per night. This amounts to about N600,000 in two months. By the time I left he had spent not less than N200,000 within a space of 3 hours sincerely I felt a little envious and imagined for a moment that I was in his shoes. However, just 2 weeks ago I saw Mr. spender walking on the street with his friend. The whole commotion and attention I saw when I first encountered him was gone. Though he still looked well dressed and looking fresh. I enquired from my friend what happened and he narrated to me how Mr. Spender’s finances began to dwindle. At the moment he was not as buoyant as he used to be. I was taken aback and could not comprehend how in just a twinkle someone can move from having millions to being broke. It happens though its not a strange experience. But.... |

So when was the last time you took a cup of coffee; Yesterday, this morning, last week or you have probably never taken a cup of coffee. Taking a cup of coffee is alien to Africans but a tradition in Europe, Asia and America. There seems to be something fascinating about taking coffee which we are yet to determine as Africans. Coffee is one of the most popular beverage drink consumed all over the world and statistics shows that millions take a cup of this wonderful beverage daily. Coffee fruits are processed to separate the seeds into a raw product known as unroasted green coffee. The seeds are then roasted and processed into roasted coffee which is thereafter grinded to powder form. The roasted powdered coffee is then mixed in hot water and filtered to produce the stimulating cup of coffee which is usually taken with cream or sugar to mellow the bitter taste. The major content of coffee is caffeine which according to research has been identified as a beneficial substance to the human body. Though coffee contains numerous other substances the contribution of caffeine cannot be over-emphasized as a psychoactive substance. jostoman and toomuchstuff Una go school. PassMark for una. I listened to his videos for the first time in 2017 and Saw a man highly devoted for a noble course. That man is an Enigma and a phenomenon as far as African freedom fighters and liberators is concerned. The sooner he is taken seriously by all especially the southners the better for us. |
Years back and Until recently a lone voice preached this gospel of libration from servitude but he was mocked, vilified and castigated. Today What do we have going on in South West killings and kidnapping. Thank God for that man, the one They Called a coward and terrorist. If not for him my people would have been castrated and humiliated.. Do you know Who he is? |
