MrEgghead:This will be my last reply to you stone. You statement portrait your insensitive to life outside Nigeria (a geriatric, orthopaedic, ambulatory, psychiatric pharmacist only prescribe OTC ko?) . You are still a student which I don't know if you will even finish the med school self, talkless of entering pharmacy school. In fact finish one first and come back to reply me But I pray it's not late for you then. poor stone should receive sense. |
MrEgghead:Bro foam dey your head? Which school you finish from? Because you have been brainwashed here in Nigeria, Go abroad where you can't get out of any malpractice and see how you fellow are trending carefully. You are here ranting rust. Outside Nigeria, you have Pharmacist that can prescribe apart from their primary assignment. they hold prescribing licence. And recently, the NHIS has given nurse with extra education right to do some minor surgery. F**ls like you rant because they have little or no job to do. Place where things are going good, you will gladly mind your business. If you are frustrated, go back to school and study pharmacy, I pray you can even graduate self. You haven't seen anything yet, the next 10yrs will tell you how irrelevant you have become and how they have brainwash you thanks I remain a Pharmacist not a medical doctor. I build, they rent. |
mannyiyke:You are frustrated. Don't worry you can go and rewrite jamb to study pharmacy. People like you are suffering from poor job satisfaction. They have brain wash you telling you that you have everything by studying MBBS and you are now regretting. But brother it's not too late. Please stop responding to this novice. Let the poor MBBS rest in peace. You haven't seen anything yet o, wait for the next 10yrs, you will know how irrelevant your profession have become. |
osato45:Thanks. Do I need to pass through ATSWA or applied as a professional Part 1? And how is the journey like? Thanks. |
Please can a Pharmacist register for ICAN exam. I have looked through their portal but couldn't find any information regarding this. Please advise and share relevant information. thanks. |
Duvan:You can't have Msc in Pharmacy as a whole. Just like you can't have Msc in Medicine as a whole. An MBBS holder can not be a Pharmacist by doing PG in any department of pharmacy so also a Pharmacist can not be a doctor by doing PG in any of the Medical department. |
Anambralstson:Some Bubu zombies will dissolve and evaporate at the sight of that first picture. #Atikulated |
Raylight2:M. Pharm is a clinical program that is offered in a department called Clinical pharmacy and pharmacy practice of Faculty of pharmacy. Only pharmacists are eligible for a postgraduate or specialist program in the department. As a biochemist you can apply for different PG program in other departments such as Pharmacology, Pharmchem, pharmaceutics, Pharm Mcb, Pharmscognosy. Except case are; 1 only Pharmacists, doctors and sometimes Nurses are admitted for Msc and PhD of Clinical Pharmacology. But you are very fit for Msc in any other areas pharmacology. 2. Coming in for other departments in the faculty, you will be admitted but only pharmacists can be awarded PhD of a Department as a whole. E.g in dept of Pharmacognosy, you can have your Msc in Pharmacognosy but at PhD level you won't be award PhD in Pharmacognosy but a (pharmacist can have it) you will be award PhD in Phytomedicine, Ethnomedicine, Herbal or indigenous Medicines etc in their sub specialty. 3. With the new degree; PharmD (i.e doctor of pharmacy), the PCN has ordered that only pharmacist or a PhD holders as at that time will teach Pharmacy students ..... And very few non pharmacist make it up at the pharmaceutical industry which is now available for them. 4. In the pharmaceutical markets (not restricted to pharmacist. Any discipline can work here) which is now very competitive as well as tedious for non pharmacists because of company targets and others. But only a pharmacist can Medrep by law some drugs such as upper class poisons. 5. Nigeria pharmaceutical industries are very bad, poor and usually less pay. Some basically do compounding and can't avoid three full time young pharmacist talk less of a pg holder. But having pg in any part of pharmacy departments gives you an upper hand in Pharmaceutical Lab which is a multidisciplinary society and respect all scientist opinion based on level of study and evidence. Hope this helps. |
Irenemmeso:Hi Are you a pharmacist?....... As men of Honour |
What a useless country. Nigeria didn't value the lives of her citizens. Nigeria pharmaceutical and health laws need to be reform and amend. How are this drugs entering the pharmaceutical markets when Implementing close system supply chain will do enough to combat drug abuse and misuse, fake drug, monitor therapeutic response, increase quality and quantity control measures. It's in my country any body can handle drug, even mallam in the park are vendors of drug. Some of them prescribed and dispensed First Class poison. While in other countries (close to us here is S. A) Pharmaceutical industry is second must highly regulated next to the nuclear industry. I have seen a whole family dead due to a mistake of a Patent medicine store and a whole country in chaos due to nervousness of a pharmacist in a pharmaceutical industry. My point is this; the federal government should place adequate laws and regulations with strict punishment to offenders as other countries are doing. With this you don't bother too much on a wind or thief when your house is well securely closed. |
PHILipu1:Yee! Your family don waste money .........so you want to count E-vote again. No wonder you are supporting your fellow mad man. Oponu will reply me back. |

This Nigeria Army and her government need senslin to cure their senselessn*ss. When armies are opening fire on their citizens so who are they protecting. The same army that are unable to fight 3 of the country terrorist want to cause another fire they won't be able to curb. What is wrong if this Bubu government call a dialog table and clear the issues once before Iran and some wicked country take advantage of our weaknesses. |
My aunt once told me that "respect Mary but Worship God alone..... Sr Kemi. " |
