Good evening guys. It's been a long ride. I salute everyone's courage, hope and faith all along. I thought I won't feel it until it Dawn to me that no more APL again. In truth, I was very hopeful. In truth, I also knew the chance of getting it was just 10% and I was ready for any outcome. But make I no lie, dah day, baba was sad. Never thought I would feel it like this because as a football fan (Barca man), I thought no disappointment could as worse as dat Liverpool semi final or when one game cut my 3m for bet9ja last December In truth, I was so sad of not getting APL but the way I danced in church today, I was very happy that I don move on. To those who got, a very big big congrats. I'll miss this thread. It's like when we did our final project defense in school and we knew we won't meet some of ourselves again. Abeg oo, I'm available for any job opportunity ni oo. Another search begins... Peace out |

The rumoured 9000/774 equals approximately 12 applicants per LG. I don zero my mind that I'm competing against 12 fellow guyz in my LG since beginning. Las Las, na God go still win.
In other news, my boss who supervised me during IT in NNPC just messaged me this morning that "NNPC will start calling us by next week". Apart from Happy New year messages, we Neva talk this year.
One more thing, if you made it, don't think say na u Sabi pray pas. And those that wouldn't make the list, don't feel that God has been deaf to ur prayers. Everybody prays. Good Luck to us. |

Napolitano2012: APL will be out SOON as the GMD said.. but before then, let me drop an info I learnt about recently from my HR Source.. it has nothing to do with the release but rather with a very weird method applied in correcting the first list..
She claimed that a first list was submitted sometime in October but it was met with disapproval from Top Guns in government causing the initial delays and rancours.. mostly because it was claimed to favour more of the west and south and not enough of the north... According to her, on that day she informed us that the GMD called a very short emergency meeting after the Quiz Event, it was resolved that the list should be modified after which online documentation should follow..
.. she said they (HR DEPARTMENT) consequently proceeded to remove some names from some states in order to balance it by adding some names in order states.. NOW the weird gist is, CAN u imagine the method they applied in choosing the new names that were added... she said that in order to be fast with the selection and to make it fair, they logged into the dashboards of the candidates with high scores that were not selected before, then they checked the number of times each candidate had logged in since the interview and the regularity with which they logged in and from there, they selected over hundreds of new names based purely on how often they frequented their dashboard. when my boss asked her why,, she said since the candidates in question all had the necessary high score, they couldn't pick all, they needed a particular number and so it was down to luck... and for the method, she said the logic was that those who were continually checking their dashboard showed that they were really interested in the job and were eager to know if their status had changed but those who didn't log in oftenly might not care much bout the job..
mehn, I was shocked dat day.. that is how many of us here would be called by luck.. from dat day, I began to believe more in prayers ... people who were not in the original list, see how Fate turned tins around for their favour...... just with a weird reason of logging in to ur dashboard oftenly.. that's it... we wait. Are you kidding me? In order to be FAST? October to January is 3 months o |

Good evening to y'all. Here is my first comment on this thread. I wholly support this twitter awareness idea but it must be backed with a relevant hashtag and we must tag relevant and influential people. I will suggest the hashtah #nnpcrecruitment2019 after every tweet and mentions. People to be tagged include but not limited to @nnpcgroup @MBuhari @BashirAhmaad @MKKyari @Omojuwa @adeyanjudeji @realFFK @toluogunesi and the handles of media organizations most importantly @channelstv and @NTANewsNow.
Some of these handles are for opposition members and some are for Buhari people. We should know how we are gonna tweet reasonably. The most important thing is the hashtag. We should agree and make a unifying hashtag. Twitter will help alot and we can proudly initiate this task from Nairalanders. We may not know anybody but our unifying voices must be heard. In times like this, Silence is not Golden.
