Recently, the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture's unveiled its forthcoming end of the year festival dubbed ‘Greater Lagos 2020’ and themed 'Simply Unforgettable', at the Hall C of the Landmark Events Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos and the grand entry of celebrities like Olamide, Fireboy, Zlatan and D.J. Spinall had many of the attendees cheering.

After the Master of Ceremony, comedian Woli Arole, invited the host Commissioner for Tourism, Arts & Culture, Mrs. Olufunke Adebolu, to the podium she said that 'Greater Lagos 2020 is targeted at showing Nigerians home and abroad how Lagos have evolved in the last decade and the opportunities available to investors regardless of their race or nationality'. Representatives from the event's sponsors, Mr. Rotimi Odusola from Guinness and Ms. Tolu Adegoke from Access Bank, two representatives from two of the partners, Ms. Jennifer Ukoh from Multichoice Nigeria and Mr. Erhumu Bayagbon from Airtel, as well as a few other Lagos State Government officials not limited to; the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, Special Adviser to the Governor on Arts and Culture, Hon. Bonu Solomon Saanu, Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora and Foreign Affairs, Mr. Jermaine Sanwo-Olu, Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Tourism, Mr. Babatunde Mesewaku.

Taking the mic from Mrs. Adebolu, the hit-maker Olamide speaks on his full support of the event and urge the media agencies to throw their weight behind the ministries involved in order to achieve the Greater Lagos 2020 dream adding that, “Greater Lagos 2020 is an event that better position this city and everyone who wants to achieve anything worthwhile in this city should support it”. He handed the microphone to D.J. Spinall four minutes later and he also declare his alliance and next was Fireboy who said, "for someone who has lived his whole life in Lagos and do business in this city, I put my weight behind the forthcoming festival which I am certain will better position it. If you have been doing business in Lagos all year long, this event is for you to merry". Then, other dignitaries seated on the podium said their piece with Guinness representative, the Legal Director and Company Secretary, Mr. Rotimi Odusola noting that there will so much beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, available at the event which they are very excited to be part of.

Beside the serious talks and unveiling of the logo of the event and commercial with colours that impressed everyone present, there was an energetic dance presentation from the Dance Machine Empire and a buffet which we all gathered to munch at the end of the press conference.

According to Mrs. Adebolu, Greater Lagos 2020 will kick with micro events in five locations in Lagos State; Ikeja in Agege Stadium on December 25 same day as the grand opening in Eko Atlantic City, followed by Ikorodu inside the Town Hall on December 26, Badagry in Badagry Grammar School on December 27, Epe inside the Youth Centre on December 28, Lagos Island at the Eko Atlantic December 29 and build to a grand finale on New Year Eve which will hold simultaneously in all aforementioned venues on December 31st.

The Managing Director of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, Rabiu Yadudu is presently under investigation as a report linking him with a series of financial misdoing is being forwarded to the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika.

The report stumbled upon by papermacheonline is written by an anonymous anti-corruption group committed to the war against corruption as being signalled by President Muhammadu Buhari who had strongly stated his mission to sanitise the country from corruption in all sectors.

Rabiu Yadudu is alleged to have surrounded himself with people who are concerned about enriching themselves through conniving with vendors and internal stake holders in the organisation in inflating cost in the Audits, Accounts and Procurement department of the FAAN.

Not only that, the FAAN boss is also alleged of nepotism, in a practise where training and recruitment slots into FAAN has become a business limited to a handful of his friends and relatives.

There are also serious allegations of misappropriation of funds under the guise of touring foreign countries for the betterment of FAAN.


In a detailed narrative, the FAAN boss was alleged of...


1. approving the cost of constructing a one-bedroom quadrupulets in Kaduna airport at N35M

2. INSTALLATION OF dstv in the MD's official residence at N4.8M

3. conducting meetings at home during odd hours with female staffers of the organisation

4. approving the supply of explosive detector machines at N117M

5.installation of damaged cctv in his official residence at N1.7M

...amongst many other weighty allegations.



Mr Yadudu was not the only one caught in the web of the allegations, there is a long list of staffers of FAAN who are regularly 'serviced' to carry out the operations.

The list details the payment process to each staffer from 100,000 to 500,000 naira.


Until his recent appointment, Captain Rabiu Hamidu Yadudu was the Director of Operations, FAAN.

He replaced Saleh Dunoma, who spent over three decades in the airport authority.

Nwakaego “Ego” Boyo is a well-known and accomplished actor and producer who has worked extensively in the Nigerian film industry since the 90s. She made her debut as an actor in the critically acclaimed Soap Opera “CHECKMATE” which aired on the NTA network service for five years playing the role of Ann Haastrope – a role which endeared her to Nigerian audiences.

In 1996, she produced her first feature film “VIOLATED”, a Moving Movies Production, directed by the late Amaka Igwe. The film was considered one of the highest-selling home video productions of its time and has gone down in Nigerian Film industry history as one of the best Romantic Dramas, and the benchmark for Romantic films in Nigeria.

Ego set up her own production company later that same year and continues as the managing director /CEO of the company. Set up as a fully digital production company with a rental arm and working in production from end to end, a service it continues to provide across two continents.

In 1998, Ego delved back into production with another collaboration with Amaka Igwe, this time the film was “TO LIVE AGAIN” which was directed by Amaka Igwe and went on to garner several THEMA award nominations, and REEL award nominations and eventually to win best Film/Picture at the Reel Awards in 1999.

Over time, the on air personality and his radio programs has garnered appreciable goodwill and relatively broad listeners. This is good for the radio station and its anchor person whose name as anchor person. But recently, the anchor seems to be losing focus because of its misplaced focus on trivialities that sacrificed issues and institutions on the altar of facts and fairness. Otherwise, what could have informed the unnecessary persistent focus of the program's anchor man on Tunji Bello, the immediate past Secretary to Lagos State government and newly appointed commissioner for the environment & water resources. He initially started by talking about a phantom sickness of Bello once his name was announced as a commissioner nominee. Yet, he is not a doctor nor could he provide evidence of a doctor's recommendation to buttress his malicious assertion. To him, his unfounded medical allegations should serve as enough ground for Bello's appointment as commissioner to be nullified. Human beings as a mortal can fall sick but a certified doctor is only allowed to comment on one's medical fitness not any radio personality. After all, it is not beyond Jimi Disu himself, as mere mortal, to fall sick. Also, at the current debilitating state of Lagos environment being a consequence of abject neglect in years past, it is no doubt that someone with a panoramic understanding of the state's environment should be appointed and this the current governor, Babajide Sanwoolu, has found in Bello and Jimi Disu can not fault Bello's competence, hence the need for him to keep his silence. On Jimi Disu’s unrigorous querying of Bello 'stooping low' from SSG to accept the position of a commissioner clearly shows the personal agenda of this program against Bello. History is replete with instances of selfless political service globally. Former Prime Minister of Israel, Yitzak Rabin after losing his position in an election served as foreign minister in his successor's government. Chief Olorunfunmi Bashorun served as SSG during Gov. Lateef Jakande's government from 1979-1983 but upon Jakande's re-election served as commissioner for education. To Jimi Disu’s jaundiced view, this surely must be wrong and a misnomer. To the current reality, Sanwoolu, served as commissioner for establishment and later agreed to serve as managing director of LSDPC from where he was elected as current governor of Lagos state. This should serve a lesson in selflessness to Jimi Disu. He should leave Bello alone and focus more on purposeful essence on this otherwise good program. Nollywood actress, Shan George who recently had a successful spine surgery in Abuja on the 8th of August blasts fellow Nollywood actor, Femi Branch for claiming to come to her aid on social media.

The actress suffered from major back disease for months and underwent a very delicate surgery at the Brain and Spine Consortium surgery in Abuja which was said to cost millions of naira. She made the money from donations from family and friends which made the surgery successful.

Actor Femi Branch who is a colleague and also a member of the Actor’s guild of Nigeria, took to his Instagram page to share a picture of them handing over an envelope to Shan George and he captioned” God bless the &actorsguildnigeria for coming to the side of our dear colleague and friend @shangeorge as she recovers from her back surgery”  She replied in the comment section “ They didn’t come to my aid sir, I’m not crying for any aid/help.

Dammy Krane Granted Bail, Trial To Begin October 11
Popular Nigerian musician, Johnson Oyindamola popularly known as Dammy Krane was arraigned to court on Monday 16th of September 2019 at the Magistrate Court, Igbosere, Lagos. The singer was arraigned on three counts bordering on threat to life, defamation, and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace.
According to the court document marked B/56/2019, the musician threatened the lives of staff members of betting company, Merrybet Gold Limited, on July 25, 2019, and also released a song in which he accused the firm of breach of contract.Magistrate A.F.O Botoku gave the date of trial after the arraignment of the singer at the Igbosere Magistrates’ court in Lagos.
Botoku also granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety who must be a tax payer.The trial of the singer will begin on October 11.According to a close source, Dammy Krane performed for Merry Bet at a show and he wasn’t paid after the show
