The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School Candidates 2020 started on Monday four months behind plan with claims the Mathematics paper leaked.

However, the Head of Public Affairs, West African Examinations Council (WAEC), Mr. Demianus Ojijeogu, said the answers inflow were fake.

He said: No it’s not true. They were fake. Scammers photoshop question papers to sway naive candidates, he said.

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has declared that the Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) will now end on the 4th of September and no longer 7th September as earlier announced.

The Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of the National Examinations Council, Professor Godswill Obiora revealed this while briefing Journalists at the Council Headquarters in Minna, Niger state.
He explained that the BECE timetable was contracted to terminate on the 4th of September to reduce cost.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Monday gave administrators of tertiary institutions the green light to begin the 2020/2021 post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) screening on September 7.

The board revealed that the shift in the date of admission was meant to allow students sitting for the 2020 Ordinary Level examinations conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), National Examination Council (NECO), and National Business and Technical Examination (NBTE) obtain the needed qualifications.

Nigeria’s main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has asked President Muhammadu Buhari, accusing his administration of failing to tackle insecurity and trying to sweep accusations of corruption under the carpet.



The National Chairman of PDP, Mr. Uche Secondus, made the call at a news announcement in the nation’s capital Abuja on Friday.

JAMB joint matriculation board has released the name of the best 2020 UTME candidates that was concluded a few months ago there by picking top 10 best jamb students

JAMB's 2020 policy meeting document seen by kingschool reports the candidates scored between 352 and 365 in their UTME

The Oyo State Government has further relaxed the coronavirus curfew in the state and also asked students to resume on by the proposed date for school reopening
