Anti-graft bureau freezes Akwa Ibom government bank accounts


The Akwa Ibom State Government has asserted that the state’s bank accounts have been frozen by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The state’s Commissioner for Information, Charles Udoh, made this known on Wednesday, August 8, 2018.

Udoh announced that the anti-graft agency froze all the bank accounts in the name of the state. The commissioner further said the state only learned about the development of the bank accounts on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, with no prior notice.

Meanwhile, the EFCC is yet to respond to the allegations raised by the Akwa Ibom state commissioner for information.

The anti-graft agency has neither released a statement to corroborate the story or deny the story.



Ortom kicks as EFCC freezes Benue State’s bank accounts
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) reportedly froze the bank accounts of the Benue State government domiciled in three banks as part of its investigation into Governor Samuel Ortom.

The anti-graft agency has been investigating Ortom over how he has spent on Benue’s security since 2015, alleging that he diverted billions of naira with security votes.

The governor’s chief press secretary, Terver Akase, told Pulse on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, that the freezing of the accounts is part of a large-scale harassment campaign of the governor by the EFCC.

he is right... aia and most parts of europe are not inclined to very tall people hence, the kind of amenities and utilities they are provided with -especially in a place like uk - where small cars are prevalet (as you can see in the picture).

if the same guy moves to the US today, he will find that he just an average tall guy as the standard height in the US is 6' / 6'4. and the least of his worries will be bigger space or size of clothing ...in the US, department stores cater for sizes up to 5x extra AND BEYOND because people growing beyond 7' is normal

On Saturday, the young British 26-year-old artist made it open that he just got engaged to his Childhood Friend Cherry Seaborn who turned to be his girlfriend a few years ago.

Not long after he announced his Engagement, he said he will turn out to be a good father to his unborn kids by quitting his music career. A few months back, Ed Sheeran said he won’t be having any kid till he gets to 30 years. His fate of his unborn children would establish 4 years from now and that as well connects to his existence in the music industry.

Speaking with Daily Star: He said: “My ambition is going to go to zero as soon as I have kids.

Singer Shakira has reportedly split from boyfriend of six years, FC Barcelona defender Gerard Pique.

The two are no longer living together and Shakira instigated the breakup, The Daily Mail reports.

“It’s something serious and she has been the one who has finally made the decision,” a source said.

The source added that Shakira, who has two sons with Pique, could no longer cope with the situation, without giving more details.

Anambra Youth Movement, AYM, on Sunday said it would liaise with youths from other South-East states to shut down the region over the onslaught against the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, ‎as well as the refusal of the Nigerian government to heed calls for restructuring.

AYM coordinator, Christian Nwakaeze, in a statement in Awka, warned the government to release all detained members of IPOB, and dialogue with the group to ensure lasting peace in the country.He said while AYM was not calling for secession, it believed that a restructured Nigeria through a referendum would go a long way to making everybody understand why IPOB members were making their demands.
The statement read in part: “It is unfortunate that those in power, who are shouting one Nigeria everyday are even the people who are causing the division through their unpopular decisions.

“We understand that the unlawful declaration of IPOB as a terrorist group was done deliberately to satisfy the wish of the Arewa youths who threatened Nnamdi Kanu.

“It is on record that Shetima, leader of the Arewa youths, said with the support of his people, he would make sure that Kanu would be rearrested and that he would ensure that Kanu and members of his group were declared a terrorist group.
