It happened to me in the night 9:30pm my car ac,radio and headlamp was on,I had to pay 3k to a panel beater that night before I could drive home( I searched for a panel beater for 2 hours before I could find one who agreed to follow me to the place my car was locked) and opened it.

It was a terrible experience

Hello please my car Avalon 2002 brings out bluish smoke in the morning,after 5 seconds it disappear,and when I park for 1 hour, and start it again,it brings out bluish smoke again,after 5 mins, it disappear, from your thread here ,I could say is bad valve stem seal, please much will it cost me to replace those valve stem seal in Nigeria here gurus help

I experience it too in my 2002 Avalon , please how much does it cost to change valve stem seal?

My brother use the manufacturer recommended oil or if you can't find it, use 5w30 because of our weather and is most recommended for Toyota cars.

Your engine is 1mz and i am certain 5w30 was the recommended oil weight by the manufacturer.

It seems the engine internals cant be lubricated by thin oils, if u dont want to jump to 20w50 straight then try 10 or 15wxx first and monitor oil shortening

I will try 5w30 and see what will be the result

That is a heavy oil for much much older cars

I thought bluish smoke is coolant getting into the combustion chamber. Your vehicle uses 1mz with vvti should over around 150 to 170k.

Do you experience cold start and please move to 5w30 or 5w40

Please is 5w30 oil suitable and recommended for the Avalon?

What's the mileage of the vehicle?
Is the check engine light on...on the dashboard(instrument cluster)?...if 'Yes'..have it scanned...let's just hope your camshaft and valves seals are not damaged already...

Secondly when I use AC on the car, it suck fuel and bring out blue smoke while driving ,it has made me to stop using AC again and the fuel consumption is normal without Ac

Ok, I've been applying for security guard job on various job sites and I got a mail that I've been randomly selected for a position in Oman as a security officer based on my profile, qualification and experience. They demanded for my whatsapp number(they never sent me a message) and passport data page. I sent those items to them and earlier today they sent me a contract letter to sign. However, I smell something cos I thought at least they would ask of medical report and police report as well. The salary in the contract too sounds too good to be true too. Well, they asked nothing of that kind and they also added some information to the offer letter which am yet to understand properly. What they stated was that the company (in Oman) is demanding 1000drms as security deposit and that when I get to Oman, that money is refundable. The recruiters are claiming that they've paid that and I will pay them 2000drm if everything goes through and am able to confirm the visa online. Please what's your take on this development?
