Webmasters5 Blogging Tips To Help Your Blog Grow by kingvectorv(op): 11:41pm On Apr 15, 2017
Here are 5 tips you can easily implement to help your Blog Grow

1. You Have To Be Consistent

Consistency helps to create a loyal audience, “batching” is one of the best ways to ensure you are constantly creating new content. Schedule the time in advance and work on writing multiple blog posts during one writing session – that way you won’t feel that you are constantly hustling to get your next post up!

2. Always Create Great And Quality Contents

As often as you can create great, quality content. It’s better to blog less frequently and create a stellar piece of content. People really enjoy in depth “how to” blogs so make sure when you are writing that you leave the readers with some tangible things they can use and implement mmediately.

3. Always Publish

The most vital thing any blogger can do is PUBLISH. Don’t let learning take the place of doing, and don’t worry about being perfect!

4. Don’t be urgent to make money from your blog

You Don't have to be in a hurry to make money. Most New Bloggers tend to be in a hurry to make money from their blogs, which is not right. If you blog in the right pattern and grow your audience the money will tend to come because blogging is a very lucrative career all you have to do is think of building your brand.

5. Focus on building your community
Build your community and then the opportunities to earn an income off or because of your blog will happen.

PhonesSnapchat CEO Says The App Was Only Supposed To Be For Rich People by kingvectorv(op): 12:21am On Apr 15, 2017
Some interesting new information has come to light In an ongoing lawsuit between Snapchat and an employee who believes
he was wrongfully terminated.
The employee is Anthony Pompliano who was recruited from Facebook to assist the company in growing.
One of his initial concerns was that the
app wasn’t doing too well in overseas countries. When presented with the concern, Snapchat CEO
Evan Spiegal allegedly said that the app is only
for rich people and that he didn’t want to expand into “poor” countries like India and
Spain before storming out of a meeting.
If true, the statement sounds really naive of the CEO now that the company has gone public and has become one of the biggest social networks in the mobile world. Had the app truly only been for rich people, it wouldn’t have seen nearly as much growth and Snapchat wouldn’t have
been able to get to the
point where they could do an IPO. There’s also the matter that there’s
very little “poor” about countries like Spain, and while India may indeed be a developing market, it’s progressing faster than every other major country in the world.
Other allegations Pompliano presented were that the company
was routinely lying about usage numbers, such as 40% customer retention and 87% application turnover, figures which Pompliano
allege were greatly exaggerated, and something that could
cause an issue with advertisers down the
line.
There’s also a note about a shady attempt
to learn about Facebook’s organizational structure despite Pompliano having a known confidentiality
agreement in place, as
well as accusations of Snapchat hindering his ability to find new work by blacklisting him, a practice where former employers wrongly provide bad feedback about an individual to companies looking into
hiring them.
For Snapchat’s end, they contend that Pompliano’s claims about his knowledge of
their “current” user metrics are merely made up. Which Snapchat has fought to keep redacted but recently relaxed their stance in light of their recent IPO.

WebmastersFacebook Announces Victory Over A Spam Operation After Six Months Of Combat by kingvectorv(op): 11:20pm On Apr 14, 2017
Facebook proudly announced today that it
has — it thinks — put an end to the nefarious
doings of a “sophisticated,” “coordinated operation”
that has been spamming the site for
the last six months.
In a blog post, Facebook’s security team suggested the “inauthentic likes” came
from accounts in “Bangladesh, Indonesia,
Saudi Arabia, and a number of other countries.” That narrows it down! Actually, it sounds pretty smart: The accounts would appear,
like a few pages, spam
them, then fall silent.
Proxies and other means were taken to make it seem that these fake accounts weren’t centrally administrated — which,
of course, they were.
As far as volume, the post scrupulously avoids real numbers:
As we remove the rest of the inauthentic likes,
we expect that 99% of impacted Pages with more than 10,000 likes
will see a drop of less than 3%.
If you can figure out what that means, feel
free to comment below.
What about the fake likes and accounts removed before now?
How many pages were affected? Are pages with fewer likes affected less, or more?
Are there other networks currently being fought in similar
ways, and, if so, what
kind of drops should we
expect when those get
rolled up?
No doubt this is good news for everyone, but
I can’t help but get the
same feeling from Facebook here that I get from Twitter when
it dances around the numbers of bots and spammers on its network. The numbers
will be high, of course,
but even if they’re within reasonable limits, no user or investor likes to hear that there are 10, 20 or 100 million fake accounts or likes.
The dismantlement of this particular network comes hot on the heels of an announcement by the company earlier this week that it was stepping up its efforts
against spam and fake
news.

PhonesSamsung, Tecno, Huawai Led In Africa's Smartphone Sales As Growth Slowed by kingvectorv(op): 6:11am On Apr 14, 2017
After a decade of strong growth, the expected crossover of smartphones finally overtaking feature phone usage in Africa did not happen this year. In fact, feature phones had a bit of a surge.
Smartphone shipments to the continent grew by only 3.4% year on year—a sharp slump compared to double-digit growth rates recorded in recent years according to data from IDC, a technology research firm.
The slowdown in smartphone shipments was down to economic headwinds in some of the continent’s leading markets. Nigeria, Africa’s largest market, had a “particularly tough year”. Nigeria had its first recession in two decadesand the naira devaluation has weakened purchasing power of locals and hurt imports.
There was a slowdown across the board in smartphone shipments to Africa and the overall mobile phone market share of feature phones increase for the first time in six years, growing from 53% in 2015 to 56% in 2016.
In North Africa, total shipments increased in 2016 but the “pace of growth slowed year on year due to exchange-rate fluctuations in Egypt and security issues in Algeria,” says IDC.
In total, mobile phone shipments to Africa grew by 10.1% last year to reach a notable milestone by passing the 200 million mark for the first time.
While Samsung remains market leader on the continent, Chinese-owned Transsion Holdings which boasts mobile phone brands such as Infinix, Tecno and itel, “outperformed its main competitors” in terms of feature phone shipments in 2016, according to IDC. To hold on to its top spot, Samsung has “reworked” its product portfolio and now offers mobile phone models at competitive prices. That tweak will prove crucial in the coming years as lower-priced Chinese brands look to grow market share, Ramazan Yavuz, an IDC research manager, says.
“Price competitiveness has become a key issue in many African markets,” Yavuz says. “To grow significantly in these markets, vendors have to be able to address the continent’s large low-income population by providing phones that are priced very competitively.”

WebmastersRe: 9 Terrible Blogging Mistakes That You Should Never Make by kingvectorv(op): 12:04am On Apr 13, 2017
Webmasters9 Terrible Blogging Mistakes That You Should Never Make by kingvectorv(op):
1. Idea generation in the wrong direction.
You can have the spark of an idea at any time of day. Whether you are driving, or watching movies, or speaking with your boss, an innovative blogging topic may hit you. But that does not ensure success. An innovative idea only has the proper implication when it perfectly merges with your business and/or brand proposition.
Always Let your blog serve your company goals.

2. Your writing style is very stiff.
Blog writing is not like book writing or research paper composition. At the initial stage, you may be very confused by the writing patterns. You must be aware of the fact that your blog is the solution to the problems that people are searching for online. If the writing style is very stiff, people cannot enjoy reading it.

3. You think people care about your idea.
I know this sounds rude, but it’s the truth. If you think that people are interested in what you have to say, you are wrong. Until you can create your brand, they don’t care about your content. Your readers only search for their queries, and they are only interested in the value they are earning.
So Reflect your personality in your writing.

4. Don’t write about broad topics.
At the beginning of your career as a business blogger, you may have chosen broad topics:
How To Make Money Online
How To Start Blogging
Social Media Best Practices

It’s going to be difficult for you to really dive deep into these topics, especially if you’re only starting out yourself. If you do not also cover the minute details, your content quality will be very diluted. Don’t choose broad content ideas for a business blog.

5. You are not using exact data.
If you need to make an argument, you’ll need context. The validity of your point must be more credible, and that cannot be possible without sufficient data.
For example:
People are using Instagram more nowadays. In the U.S., Instagram usage is supposed to grow 10.6% this year, compared to the 3.1% growth of the social network sector.
Data-driven contentis much more useful to root the trustworthiness of the points you discuss.
Therefore Use data and research to back up your argument.
To get reliable data, you must go through research papers and find out key data points to support your arguments. This data must be relevant to your content, and readers must be enriched by this data.

6. You are careless about plagiarism.
After the Panda update, thin or duplicate content has been penalized heavily. Plagiarism was never rewarded in school, and it won’t be rewarded for a business blog.
Many bloggers who imagine escaping with a copy/paste process don’t know that Google bots are highly alert. They will heavily penalize your blog and rank it down in the organic search engine listings.
So Learn to cite your sources.
Sometimes you have to refer to other content or stats to enrich the content’s logic in your business blog. You should learn how to cite content from another source on your site.
Things to do:
Quote the original author.
Give the credit for their idea.
Mention the source.
It is not at all super complicated. You just need to practice the process.

7. You forget to revise.
After writing a piece of content, most bloggers just publish it.No! You need to read it again.
Edit the content once more after writing.
After writing content, invest 30 minutes more in editing that content. It will clean your piece from grammatical and sentence construction errors. You must fix the typos and check the flow of the content.
What you need to check:
Topic selection
Article structure
Copy editing
Supporting elements
Title selection
SEO friendliness

8. You are not consistent.
You perhaps already know that the more frequently you update your content, the more visits you will receive.
This consistency matters a lot. If you have updated five blogs in a week, the next week the number cannot go down to one or two. It will confuse your readers.
You must make writing your blog a consistent habit. You have to plan your content in advance by making sure it is consistent with your marketing strategy.

9. You are writing the wrong thing.
Bloggers, beginners or pros, are very conscious about traffic. After the initial spike that comes from publishing new content is over, many bloggers start to wonder why that traffic is not steady.
It is very natural for you to lose hope when you find that your old blog contentis not aggressive enough to draw in more traffic.
Focus on the cumulative potential of organic traffic.
Rather than focusing on the short-term traffic, you must focus on the potential organic traffic of the future. Your content selection must focus on evergree n content.
This will generate long-term traffic. This will help even out the spikes.

Learn from the mistakes of many business bloggers before you and start running your business blog with the right content, the right schedule, and the right attitude.
PhonesSamsung Retakes Global Smartphone Lead, Apple Down To Second - Trendforce by kingvectorv(op): 10:53pm On Apr 12, 2017
Samsung retook the lead in global smartphone sales in Q1 of 2017 by securing 26.1% of all sales, new report from TrendForce says. Apple returned to its usual second position with 16.9%
The study quotes strong performance of the Galaxy J series phones as the reason for the shift. Back in Q4 of 2016 Apple was on top with 20.3%, capitalizing on the launch of its iPhone 7 pair.
Along with Samsung Huawei was the only other brand to increase its share compared to the previous quarter, solidifying its grasp on the third place. Oppo, vivo and LG follow, but all lost ground compared to Q4 of 2016.
TrendForce also took a closer look at the Chinese manufacturers, who now combine to produce just over 46% of all smartphones. Xiaomi ranks fourth there, some way off the top three mentioned above, but gaining 2.1 percentage points in a single quarter. ZTE comes next and is also on the rise.
We are also in for a very interesting second quarter as newly launched flagships such as theHuawei P10, theSamsung Galaxy S8 and theLG G6 are bound to cause some movement in the shares. Xiaomi'sMi 6 iscoming out next week too, so there will be no shortage of exciting phones on the market.

PoliticsLawyer Reveals How Senator Andy Uba Forged His Secondary School Certificate by kingvectorv(op): 8:54pm On Apr 12, 2017
A lawyer accused of attempting to extort money from Senator Andy Uba (APC-Anambra), has dismissed the allegation as false and baseless, saying the dispute between them was over the refusal of the senator to settle his professional fee.
Mr Uba had in a petition published in the media on April 11 accused his former lawyer, Victor Uwaje, of attempting to extort money from him, stressing that the lawyer had threatened to destroy his reputation, Sahara Reporters reports.
Addressing journalists in Abuja on Wednesday April 12, however, Mr Uwaje said his dispute with Mr Uba began after he helped the senator lift a travel ban against him by the United Kingdom.
Mr Uwaje said he also settled all cases of fraud levelled against Mr. Uba in the United States, but later discovered that the senator’s secondary school leaving certificates had been forged.
Senator Andy Uba
“Sometimes in 2012, I met with Senator Andy Uba who briefed me that he had issues with the UK authorities because he was banned in 2008 from entering the United Kingdom, and being a British citizen and a private investigator, he wanted me to lift the exclusion ban on him from entering the UK.
“I met with him at his Asokoro residence where he gave me the power of attorney duly signed by him, both of us appended our signatures. It was authorising me to work on his behalf and he was going to return the expenses back to me that will assist in lifting the ban on him.
“He also had an arrest warrant against him in the State of Los Angeles, he also gave me a power of attorney in 2015 signed by Senator Andy Uba to lift the arrest warrant against him.
“After everything, I sought for my professional fees and sent it to him. It kept lingering, he refused to pay. So, at the end of the day, I filed a court process against him, seeking for payment of my professional fees. The amount in question is £1.8 million,” said Mr. Uwaje.
The lawyer added that the case in court is a legal matter filed in 2016. He added that given the court case, the allegation of blackmail should not have emerged.
“In the Vanguard of yesterday, Andy Uba said I was trying to blackmail him to extort money from him and I want to put the records straight about my dealings with Senator Emmanuel Andy Uba.
“We started from 2016, we have been in court since 2016, so I don’t see the reason he is alluding to blackmail, because we are in court, he was served through the Clerk of the National Assembly. I don’t understand how a case in court is blackmail”.
Mr Uwaje said he found out about Mr. Uba’s alleged false declaration of asset after studying the documents given to him by the senator and investigating it.
“He presented a lot of documents to be presented to the UK authorities, some forged documents, WAEC certificate and others, which were part of the documents filed in court.
“WAEC confirmed that the certificate Nnamdi Uba is parading is a fake document and I expect the authorities to look into this vehemently because forgery in the National Assembly is alarming and I feel the media is crucial to straightening issues in Nigeria.
“I have received several threats phone calls from the UK, different phone calls from people claiming to be his agents threatening my life.
Mr Uba was not available to speak on the lawyer’s claims.
The lawmaker’s spokesperson, Onyi Umegibulu, also declined to speak on the issue when contacted on phone.
“I know about it, but I cannot say anything now, since the case is in court”, Mr. Umegibulu told our reporter.
