Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has admonished President Muhammadu Buhari to address Nigerians from his heart and not from written notes.

On Monday, April 27, President Muhammadu Buhari addressed the citizens of Nigeria over the situation of the Coronavirus in Nigeria. During his speech, he revealed that the lockdown which is ongoing in Lagos. the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Ogun State would be lifted on Monday, May 4. In addition, the President announced other measures that would come into force with the gradual easing of the lockdown in Lagos, Ogun and FCT.

However, in a tweet shortly before Buhari addressed the nation, the Nollywood actor had implored the President to communicate with the citizens from his heart.

BREAKING! Nigerian Lawyers Drag China to Court Over COVID-19, Demands $200b Damages

A coalition of Nigerian legal practitioners has dragged the People’s Republic of China to court over the effects of the Coronavirus outbreak on the West African giant.

The lawyers are demanding $200 billion as damages for the “loss of lives, economic strangulation, trauma, hardship, social disorientation, mental torture and disruption of the normal daily existence of people in Nigeria.”

This was contained in a statement on Sunday by the lead prosecutor, Prof. Epiphany Azinge (SAN)

Azinge’s law firm, Azinge, and Azinge, is championing the legal action, stressing that they had concluded pleadings for the class action against the Chinese government.

The statement added, “The team of legal experts planned a two-phase line of action-: first is with the federal high court of Nigeria and secondly to persuade the government of Federal Republic of Nigeria to institute a state action against the People’s Republic of China at the International Court of Justice at the Hague

“The legal experts will be claiming damages to the tune of 200billion dollars, the Chinese Government will be served through its Embassy in Nigeria.”

Azinge is currently a member of the Commonwealth Arbitral Tribunal London, representing Nigeria and Africa.

Former aviation minister, Fani Kayode has replied Nigerian Journalist Kemi Olunloyo for saying that Over her dead Body, Biafra will Never Emerge.


In her latest attack on Friday, Olunloyo vowed to do everything possible to see that Biafra doesn’t come to pass.

“Over my dead body, Biafra will never emerge, never ever in my lifetime, she vowed in a Twitter video which had since gone viral on the internet.

Reacting to her tweet, Kayode cautioned her to retract her steps insisting that IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu is alive.

“My sister, whether it be Biafra, Oduduwa or anything else one thing is clear: it is the people of that zone and them alone that have the right to make that decision and determination by conducting a lawful and all-embracing referendum and no-one else.


“Outsiders have no right to tell them what to do. if they say they want to leave Nigeria in that referendum then no-one has the moral right or adequate power and authority to stop them.

“If they say they wish to stay then no one has the right to push them out. that is democracy and that is freedom.

“As you know for many years i was a believer in restructuring but for the last few years i have believed strongly that the free exercise of the right of self-determination of the various ethnic nationalities in Nigeria is the way forward and i have said so over and over again.

“This is because no-one takes restructuring seriously anymore and it will never be allowed to happen by those that believe that they own Nigeria.

“Whatever you and i believe though one thing is clear: the Nigeria of 2020 is very different to the Nigeria of 1967.

“Any attempt to hold anyone or any group of people in by the force of arms or to perpetuate genocide against them if they choose to leave will be met with equal resistance and force and will ultimately fail.

“This is because the country is not only badly fractured and deeply divided but because we are also sitting on a keg of ethnic and religious gunpowder which we must never allow to ignite.


“I personally deplore violence and war and i have never called for it, craved for it, yearned for it or believed in it because it is pure and unadulterated evil.

“Yet the truth is that there is no unity in Nigeria today and the peace that we believe we have is actually the peace of the graveyard. it is an illusion.

“It is only a very thin and increasingly overstretched thread that holds us together and we must be very careful not to make provocative or incendiary statements that could ignite a conflict such as the one you have made.

“To say that a man, woman or people can only leave the bondage of nigeria and be free over your “dead body” is hurtful and it is quite unnecessary too.

“Yet if war must come let it come and let us consider it to be the final battle for the liberation of our people and true independence. no price is too high to pay for that. we would rather die on our feet than live on our knees.

“To fall in love with our chains or to be a perpetual and willing slave to our collective oppressors is a curse and an abomination and we must resist it. that is not the legacy that we should establish for our children.

“We either have a nation of equals or we have no nation at all. that is, has always been and will always be my view and this is well-known to both my friends and my foes.

“My advice to you my sister is to withdraw this “over my dead body” statement before it is too late because only god knows tomorrow and Biafra and/or Oduduwa may well come in our lifetime.

“You are a much-loved, well-educated, proud and noble daughter of the south west with an illustrious heritage and enviable root. many may not know that but i certainly do because i know the impeccable history of your great and noble family.

“We in the south west cannot afford to lose you because oduduwa republic, if and when it is established, will need you in the next few years.

“Finally let me end with the following. my friend and brother Nnamdi kanu is not dead but alive and well. we were in touch only the other day. I told you this two days ago but you still doubted me and tweeted that despite my words you believed that he is dead.

The drama between political activist and journalist Kemi Olunloyo and the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is not ending anytime soon.

In her latest attack on Friday, Olunloyo has vowed to do everything possible to see that Biafra doesn’t come to pass.

IPOB — led by its leader, Nnamdi Kanu — is trying to secede from Nigeria, which it has called a zoo, accusing its leaders of marginalising the South-Eastern part of the country.

Olunloyo, from Oyo state, recently lost her Twitter ‘blue tick’ allegedly due to false news reports she tweeted about the IPOB leader.

She had tweeted about the possibility of Kanu having passed away in Italy, leaving many IPOB members in distress after her message.

However, she is claiming now that the Twitter verification removal was her handiwork, saying it can return if she wants it back. By the way, according to her, many Nigerians know her account, which is the main purpose of the blue tick, so a non-verification doesn’t hurt much.

“I continue to pepper IPOB on Facebook. Imagine they say Twitter took away my Verification because I abused Nnamdi Kanu. Thank God for my pinned Tweet. I removed the Verification all of you want and I can get it back. It’s only to separate authentic accounts. NIGERIANS know me now,” she wrote.

The outspoken leader of the indigeneous people of Biafra has issued a directives for IPOB Covid Palliative to reach all vulnerable people in the South East and South South geopolitical zone. Ebonyitvnews reports.

Nnamdi Kanu while addressing his numerous members on his facebook page said IPOB have distributed food to the vulnerable mothers and grandmothers in OgonilandOgoniland, Eleme, Benin, Igbo Akiri (Igbanke), Warri, Agbo, Umunede, Ahaba (Asaba) Ugheli, Uyo, Ikot Ekpene

He equally pleads for those who have not received IPOB Palliatives to be calm promising that it will surely get to every one.

A letter allegedly written by the Abia State governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu over the redeployment of the State commissioner of Police Ene Okon has surfaced online.

In the letter, Governor Ikpeazu pleaded with the Police IG, Adamu Muhammed to bring back the redeployed Police Commissioner, Ene Okon, who was removed over Police Extra-juducial killings in the Abia State.

In the letter obtained by Ebonyitvnews, the governor also accused the 2019 APGA governorship flag bearer, Dr. Alex Otti of sponsoring the secessionist group, the IPOB.

In the above letter which, the governor accused Dr. Alex Otti OFR of being behind the moves to remove CP Ene Okon because the CP refused to set free Barrister Emperor Ogbonna who the governor claims is an ally to Otti that has kept attacking him and President Muhammadu Buhari.

In the same letter purportedly written by the governor, he also stated that the move to remove CP Ene Okon was because he refused to allow IPOB which is sponsored by Otti gain ground in Abia state.
