Okay.....the THEME of my message is a bit different from the response, but your feedback is still helpful. Your recommendation - OF BUYING THE RED - should be the loudest - instead of the mockery and the taunting. Remember what the Gospel says about people with such character. Ref: Proverbs 24:17-18, Romans 12:15. Thank you, Boss. ogawisdom: You need some stock market education. Except for some one in a dead stock, when a sound stock like Aradel, Zenith etc is bleeding it means the market is begging investors to come and make money because it is very temporary and won't last long, latest by February the bull is back.
So if you have a sound stock that is bleeding you should be happy to be able to buy more at a cheaper rate.
The people unhappy are inexperienced in the market and have no cash to buy more.
November- December is known as discount season and every stock bleeds as some people prepare for Christmas celebrations. The market has seasons and cycles. |

Oga AwesomeJ, Thank you for your response. If read in-between the lines, you’ll realize my concern isn’t about who took profit or who is a long-term investor in the market. My message is simply to discourage the unwarranted and unsolicited mockery of either newbies or those caught off-guard by the market dip. At a time like this, two things are most appropriate:1. Stay silent, or 2. Be positive and offer words of encouragement. Some people are not yet used to market cycles and may not be able to chest the red. Such individuals could become overly worried or even sell at a loss — which helps no one. As the elders say, if you cannot help, don’t kill them. We owe our fellow compatriots at least that much. Remember, not everyone got to where they are today solely by their own efforts — Na God still run am for them. So why taunt others who are still waiting on God to pick their calls? 🙏🏽 awesomeJ: I'm
Witchcraft kwa?? Why can't my brother take his profit and await another entry?
If my brother doesn't understand the cyclical nature of the market then he's only just paying for his inexperience.
If however my brother is a long termer like Buffet, then he needs to understand that any losses aren't yet realized and thus should be less bothered by price volatility. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by kintus(m): 8:35pm On Nov 04, 2025 |
Why are some people happy when the market bleeds?
Do you take delight in seeing your fellow brother lose money? Why celebrate another man’s downfall?
How does it even give you joy to come here and keep chanting “red, red, red”?
If this were a village setting, such an attitude would easily be likened to witchcraft.
We need to be more considerate of others — their emotions and mental health — before throwing our unsolicited jabs.
Better days are ahead. 🌱 |

Nice observation. Personally, I feel the changes observed in the nations economy would have some impact in the market. We should expected the unexpected and plan for the best. Some of us are still in loss and may have the option of averaging down while expecting the assumed recovery in Jan/Feb. Thank you, Sir. Stockhunter: True market cannot be timed. But certainly october cant possibly be better than Nov/dec if you observe the market, even with some good results yet price de drop. Meanwhile if you pick good stocks, by january when investors will be coming back in order to enter with the CGT they will be buying from you. I have like 3 stocks i was eyeing which didnt enter my radar in october but are gradually getting close to my range. Na to de pick am 50k, 100k naira de go small small. |

JP swallows all offers.......what comes to mind is the analysis about Wyckoff’s Three Laws
1. Law of Supply and Demand 👉 Big money clue: Institutions quietly accumulate (buy gradually) when supply is high and the public is selling. Later, they distribute (sell gradually) when demand is strong and the public is buying.
2. Law of Cause and Effect 👉 Big money clue: When institutions build large positions (cause), the eventual move (effect) is usually big and sustained.
3. Law of Effort vs. Result 👉 Big money clue: Institutions often leave footprints in volume vs. price behavior. For example, high volume with little downward movement may mean they are buying into the selling.

Thank you for mentioning Taiwo. i will try to listen and read more of his discussion on the subject matter. GeneralDae: I would dig further but I think I have heard Taiwo Oyedele say there are exemptions. The problem with information on this new tax laws generally is that people prefer to listen to influencers and non tax experts and then ignore Taiwo and the FIRS guys who are all over the place answering questions and explaining.
“There is an exemption threshold raised: for sale of shares in Nigerian companies, the gross proceeds threshold is now ₦150 million in any 12 consecutive months. Also, gains do not exceed ₦10 million in that period may qualify under the exemption”. “For individuals, CGT continues but will be taxed at the individual’s applicable income tax rate (“progressive tax band”) rather than a flat 10%”. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by kintus(m): 3:04pm On Sep 24, 2025 |
I previously mentioned the confusion surrounding CGT and how it is negatively affecting the market, though I was rebutted. I sincerely hope that the FG, CBN, NGX, and all other relevant bodies will come out to clearly explain how these policies will impact the market going forward. Sweeping issues under the carpet is no longer acceptable, as people are now more informed. This is my candid opinion. kintus: As part of what I think can help the market recover fast at a time like is further clarity on the tax proposal
Affirmation that such taxes won’t impact earnings significantly could offer relief, especially for banks. |

Truly, Game is game. If i was advise him, I won't recommend presco considering that fact that it is already a large cap.... More like a low risk stock on NGX. Banking sectors with excellent fundamentals won't be bad. You're doing well, Sir. crownprince2017: This game is a game of percentage, it doesn't matter if if it's 1 per share or 1k per share. Percentage is calculated on the invested capital and not on the quantity of the shares.
Thinking about the quantity your money can buy is more of emotional calculations rather than real numbers calculations. |
