No official notice available for the 2025 AGM, but typically around October.

When is the AGM of Lasaco for 2025?
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by kintus(m): 9:07am On Aug 25, 2025
Okay....My response was based on the chart..looking at it from the daily TM, based on TA, the market is attempting to go higher, but the liquidity around 112k-115k needs to be cleared. But on the flipside, the manipulations in the market can't be overruled. I left crypto in 2020-2021....my eyes saw shege....from that point, I knew that market wasn't for me.

megawealth01:
That's not how it works ooooo... I nearly got liquidated on Friday but suddenly I saw a heavy PUMP na so I waka oooooo. I would have lost a lot but I had to use a lot to defend my money. Thanks for whatever news that came to my rescue

FoodRe: What Is The Cost Of A Crate Of Egg In Your Area by kintus(m): 12:02pm On Aug 22, 2025
stop doing this lazy comparison. What is the minimum wage over there?

Nnamdipapa:
Ok, today I was out to do an oil change and decided to branch by my favorite Afghani store where I usually buy provisions when in the vicinity. Now, I came across an organic crate of egg for $16.99, 30 medium sized eggs in a crate.
Now, I remembered I spoke with a friend in Lagos last week who priced a similar crate of egg at 6000Naira, Yes ! you heard me right! 6000Naira! Folks in Nigeria do not know how good they have it Living in Nigeria so next time you complain about Nigeria, remember a fresh organic crate of egg goes for N6000 and things are way cheaper in Nigeria compared to the western countries.

So, there is something that should make one happy living in Nigeria
I am waiting on pins and needles for the minimum wage crew.

Lasaco received the highest bleeding.

I hope the stock recover well.

I was just thinking.....

I believe people who TP from the insurance Coy were hoping to get into banking sector, but the uncertainty with the interim dividend thwarted their plans. In coming weeks I see them returning into the insurance stocks. Plus, the insurance has corrected itself...We expect another leg up.

Read about Wyckoff, his three laws, and what he says about big money in the market—and broaden your horizon. wink
1. Wyckoff’s Three Laws

Law of Supply and Demand
👉 Big money clue: Institutions quietly accumulate (buy gradually) when supply is high and the public is selling. Later, they distribute (sell gradually) when demand is strong and the public is buying.

2. Law of Cause and Effect
👉 Big money clue: When institutions build large positions (cause), the eventual move (effect) is usually big and sustained.

3. Law of Effort vs. Result
👉 Big money clue: Institutions often leave footprints in volume vs. price behavior. For example, high volume with little downward movement may mean they are buying into the selling.

Summary of the laws Enjoy.

Key Highlights from Q1 2025

Gross Premium Written (GPW): ₦5.55bn (↑ 11% YoY from ₦5.0bn in Q1 2024)
Profit Before Tax (PBT): ₦776m (↑ 31% YoY from ₦594m)
Profit After Tax (PAT): ₦647m (↑ 31% YoY from ₦494m)
Earnings Per Share (EPS): ₦0.05 (vs ₦0.04 in Q1 2024)
Investment Income: ₦709m (↑ 33% YoY from ₦534m)
Shareholders’ Fund: ₦22.7bn (↑ 5% YoY)
Total Assets: ₦32.6bn (↑ 6% YoY)

Investor Interpretation

1. Profitability Strengthening:
Both underwriting and investment income improved, showing resilience in a tough operating environment. The 31% profit growth is a strong signal for investor confidence.

2. Earnings Quality:
A large portion of growth came from investment income (+33%), not just core insurance underwriting. While this boosts results, it also exposes the company to capital market risks.

3. EPS Growth:
EPS of ₦0.05 in Q1 indicates potential to deliver ₦0.20 full-year EPS, assuming momentum continues. At a modest P/E ratio, the stock looks undervalued compared to peers.

4. Balance Sheet Stability:
With ₦22.7bn in shareholders’ funds and steady asset growth, Prestige remains financially sound. Solvency ratios appear healthy.

5. Market Sentiment Factor:
The insurance sector on NGX is experiencing mixed investor sentiment—AIICO, Cornerstone, Lasaco are more actively traded, while Prestige trades thin volumes. This could limit short-term momentum unless driven by earnings releases or sectoral news.[/b]

Although I try to avoid insurance stocks because of past experiences of 2008... I have few insurance stocks bought sometimes ago...

I am heavily LOADED on LASACO for long term purposes after doing my own due diligence...

I'm not dropping it as one of my picks because there is this phobia for insurance stocks... I bought LASACO today in BATCHES and BIG VOLUMES too from one of my LOOTS in past trades elsewhere...

Stay away from LASACO if you will come here to tarnish my image... Stay away from INSURANCE GAME if you don't understand what you bought

Oh....I thought I was the only who noticed it.

Let's see how they're going fix this without shortchanging themselves or traders.

Stockhunter:
If you are a trader or have some portion of your portfolio for trading just like i do, then you must be monitoring your trading stocks daily. I was just monitoring the exchange and immediately spotted the early movement and jumped out on all my insurance stocks before the craz started.... Aiico, mbenefit and linkage... Still on the max% with the percentage of my portfolio that i use for trading. If you don't have the time for daily monitoring then you shouldnt do more of trading.. any period i will be busy i go full investing, when i have time i combine both.this market is unpredictable. Nothing is guaranteed.. the way it flips...

lower our guard and learn the ropes

Apologize where necessary cool
Ask questions when in doubt cry
Show appreciation when needed. grin

Oasisblue:
You are right. It's always a challenge balancing long-term focus(investor) and short-term gain(trading). I am experiencing the same thing with Aradel, where I have a substantial sum tied down without capital appreciation. I keep increasing my investment in the hope of averaging out my brek-even price, but seeing what is going on in the insurance sector, I feel like a fool now.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by kintus(m): 12:56pm On Aug 13, 2025
The question you should ask him or her should be ...if he or she is a trader or investor?

As a trader, you're better-off cutting your losses and move on. But as an investor, he can keep averaging down to reduce his unit cost.

As a trader, I was up in PZ & Cadbury with over 20% gain, but I kept watching profit disappear until I was forced to sell Cad at #60 yesterday. Today, I am struggling to sell PZ at #37 but no offer. Imagine if I had sold at 70, 68 Cad....43 -40 PZ to join insurance bull.....we keep learning.

But, then again, we are here to make money and not to make losses.

Oasisblue:
Not really. DangSugar is solid. As soon as they pay off their debts, the profits will soar.

I started following this thread not up to a week . I bought 500,000 shares of Japaul at 2.90 yesterday evening. I just sold all at 3.23 this morning. That's 0.32 gain in less than 24 hours. I panicked out because what some people are saying about it. But this is a good return for drinks. Thanks so much Loco traders
Good for you.

You've done well for yourself. If you're new in the game, keep experimenting till you find your footing.

Enjoy your 10% gain in less than 24hrs. That 50k fit buy you fuel for the week.
