Hmmm For you to be hopeful and confident about the market is commendable. First time I am seeing this side of you, Sir. Streetinvestor2: |
yMcy56:Okay........ |
Most of them on full offer too.....I believe they're not on full offer because of their results or any bad news, but an attempt to further skew the market. Streetinvestor2: |
Boss see the statistics here....some already doing MAX 10% loss per day..... We are still learning, and also spotting one or two thing(s) in the market. Streetinvestor2:

Big caps taking the hit today..... MTN, Nestle, Presco, Berger, Betaglass, Seplat, Buafoods, Okomo etc.......all in a bid to drag the entire market lower. Let the small cap breafttttttttttttttttttt please. |
I said part.....and this is based on some of my reviews. If you can remember, this topic was a subject of debate here in the last 2weeks. Imagine having experience hands argue about such subject without a firm resolution. this goes to show that there is a bit of lacuna there and people will definitely react to what is not understood, either in a positive or negative way. Have you not heard that people are moving their funds to TB and fixed asset investment? Just to reiterated, I did not it say it fully responsible, but I know at least few person will find the market unattractive because of this policy, particularly that is unclear on what the govt demand is all about. There is a need for the Govt to come out and explain in clear terms. crownprince2017: |
As part of what I think can help the market recover fast at a time like is further clarity on the tax proposal Affirmation that such taxes won’t impact earnings significantly could offer relief, especially for banks. |
Not a contradiction....but a mix of mentors from different school of thoughts. At least, I can compare the ideas from both sides before making decision. E good to get school father(s) yMcy56: |
mikeapollo:Abeg oh. I am still a student. Wait until I graduate. Meanwhile, let's learn from those who have good years of experience. I hope you understand? |
yMcy56:I be Loco student 🤪 I have always listened to Egbon Agba. Oga Emma, Oga Osita and August visitor oga Sunrise and many of them. We keep learning. I dey learn from everyone here. |
Egbon Sir. I am your student, Sir. Even though I failed to heed to your warning. My small portfolio is bleeding, but we pray for more money to keep averaging down. Please, help us beg Mr. Market to take pity on us and bring back the green days ASAP. Agbalowomeri: |
Let's buy ooh..... Some dey pray to see Access below 26...now you have 25 Zenith at 69....now you have 64.5 Royalex at 2....now 1.89 Aiico at 4......now 3.3 And the list goes on & on.... |
I must commend CHAMS and those in-charge. That stock has remained resilient during this period. I was even thinking it will be affected with the RI. Kudos. Can they do same to Japaul? Supports are easily broken. I hope they'll sit tight and not allow further drop. |
Good and don't forget, you only loss when you sell. If you're patient enough and the market does the needful, your money should grow back in 6months to 1yr time. Like some Oga's have mentioned, this advise is ONLY for fundamental stocks. Ddll: |
In a bear market.....prices will drop by 8-9% and gain by 3-4%.... it keeps going down gradually until you'll discover your portfolio is in 20-30% loss.... That's how it works....so don't rejoice when you see a bounce.....some could be a reaction a certain SUPPORT......pray that support isn't broken, if it does, then down down we go. |
Be calm.....the market has a direction for now......don't forget that we have some big bags whose duty is to manipulate the market and get unsuspecting traders trapped. Some of dun turn investors for now........Insurance....Japaul.....we are averaging down but, it appears the bottom is not in sight for now. My 50kobo Ddll: |
stopped playing at 4mins....is it my network or the recording? Great job. Pennystockwarri: |
VFD - volume and value - Something brewing there. But no money to average down. |
No official notice available for the 2025 AGM, but typically around October. essentialone1: |
Okay....My response was based on the chart..looking at it from the daily TM, based on TA, the market is attempting to go higher, but the liquidity around 112k-115k needs to be cleared. But on the flipside, the manipulations in the market can't be overruled. I left crypto in 2020-2021....my eyes saw shege....from that point, I knew that market wasn't for me. megawealth01: |
All the liquidity down there must by swept off...clear out all the stop-loss megawealth01: |
stop doing this lazy comparison. What is the minimum wage over there? Nnamdipapa: |
Lasaco received the highest bleeding. I hope the stock recover well. yMcy56: |
I was just thinking..... I believe people who TP from the insurance Coy were hoping to get into banking sector, but the uncertainty with the interim dividend thwarted their plans. In coming weeks I see them returning into the insurance stocks. Plus, the insurance has corrected itself...We expect another leg up. |
ositadima1:1. Wyckoff’s Three Laws Law of Supply and Demand 👉 Big money clue: Institutions quietly accumulate (buy gradually) when supply is high and the public is selling. Later, they distribute (sell gradually) when demand is strong and the public is buying. 2. Law of Cause and Effect 👉 Big money clue: When institutions build large positions (cause), the eventual move (effect) is usually big and sustained. 3. Law of Effort vs. Result 👉 Big money clue: Institutions often leave footprints in volume vs. price behavior. For example, high volume with little downward movement may mean they are buying into the selling. Summary of the laws Enjoy. |
Looks like your comment woke him up. We know he will be exhausted in no time. With a support around ₦3.42, Let us see how far he drag the price down. megawealth01: |

Key Highlights from Q1 2025 Gross Premium Written (GPW): ₦5.55bn (↑ 11% YoY from ₦5.0bn in Q1 2024) Profit Before Tax (PBT): ₦776m (↑ 31% YoY from ₦594m) Profit After Tax (PAT): ₦647m (↑ 31% YoY from ₦494m) Earnings Per Share (EPS): ₦0.05 (vs ₦0.04 in Q1 2024) Investment Income: ₦709m (↑ 33% YoY from ₦534m) Shareholders’ Fund: ₦22.7bn (↑ 5% YoY) Total Assets: ₦32.6bn (↑ 6% YoY) Investor Interpretation 1. Profitability Strengthening: Both underwriting and investment income improved, showing resilience in a tough operating environment. The 31% profit growth is a strong signal for investor confidence. 2. Earnings Quality: A large portion of growth came from investment income (+33%), not just core insurance underwriting. While this boosts results, it also exposes the company to capital market risks. 3. EPS Growth: EPS of ₦0.05 in Q1 indicates potential to deliver ₦0.20 full-year EPS, assuming momentum continues. At a modest P/E ratio, the stock looks undervalued compared to peers. 4. Balance Sheet Stability: With ₦22.7bn in shareholders’ funds and steady asset growth, Prestige remains financially sound. Solvency ratios appear healthy. 5. Market Sentiment Factor: The insurance sector on NGX is experiencing mixed investor sentiment—AIICO, Cornerstone, Lasaco are more actively traded, while Prestige trades thin volumes. This could limit short-term momentum unless driven by earnings releases or sectoral news.[/b] sterlingD: |
