LAGOS, Nigeria (AP) — Nigeria's military
reported rescuing a second "Chibok girl" in a
forest battle with Islamic extremists, but a
community leader said Friday she is not on the
list of 218 students missing from the 2014 mass
abduction from the school by Boko Haram that
sparked worldwide outrage.
Army spokesman Col. Sani Kukasheka Usman
said soldiers freed the girl after a Thursday night
battle in the northeastern Sambisa Forest in
which it liberated 97 women and children and
killed 35 extremists. He said she is 157 on the list
of 218 missing girls seized more than two years
ago from a boarding school in Chibok.
But number 157 has a different name, Chibok
community leader Pogu Bitrus told The
Associated Press. The list has two other young
women sharing the surname given by the military
and the rescued girl may have been visiting older
sisters at the school the night of the kidnapping,
said Bitrus.
The first Chibok teenager to be freed with a 4-
month-old baby and was discovered by hunters
wandering on the fringes of the Sambisa Forest
on Tuesday. On Thursday, Amina Ali Nkeki, 19,
was flown to Abuja to meet with Nigeria's
President Muhammadu Buhari.
Parents of the kidnapped girls, the Bring Back
Our Girls movement and aid workers all have
criticized the Nigerian government and military
for their handling of the development, with
Refugees International charging her escape is
being politicized and that she should not be
paraded in public but getting urgent medical care
for sexual abuse and psychosocial counseling.
Ali has revealed that a few of the girls died in
captivity but most remain under heavy guard in
the forest, according to family doctor Idriss
Danladi. The AP does not identify suspected
victims of sexual assault but named Ali after she
appeared on TV alongside the president.

Please who was rescued?
Amina abi na Aisha or is it Mbalala? APC is seriously writing script for Buhari‘s 1year in office. Before May 29th, ARMY WOULD HAVE RESCUED OVER 100girls. Just watch them decieve us. |
This is a good news. Kudos to the militant called Amaechi. Amaechi didnt know that Sirika is a Fulani man and he just cant be pushed around. Amaechi thinks that everybody in APC worships his ego. He doesnt know know that many detests him and see him as the JUDAS he is. He is in Buhari‘s cabinet because £134 million (stolen from River state) can buy any position in this world. |
pacino26:biko rapu ndia... Colonial mentality reign superem in their corner |
Hengineer:you are right bros. Nigeria needs help because we have a president who doesnt believe in the potentials of the country he presides over. How did we get here in less than 1year? How did all the external investors withdraw all their investment from our stock withen 6months? How did we move from the being the first on the log of country to attract investors, to a country that goes about begging investors to come invest? It is because we have a president who is holy that went round the world telling possible suitors that all girls in domain stink. Ghana was worst than Nigeria economically 2012 to 2015, they are just recorvering but their people never rubished their country as our does. South Africa is a very bad shape to the extend they are third after Nigeria & Egypt in Africa (GDP). Rand has been tumbling down yet they still promote the country as the best in Africa. Thereby injecting more confidence inside the heart of investors. But here in NIGERIA, our president with his poor economic sense & poor economic team are chassing “real“ investors away while going to beg “armed robbers“ with colonial masters‘ mentality for help. I wish them well. All I know is that the highest this madness can last is for 8years. I will survive it, the real friends of Nigeria will survive it. And all those that LOVE NIGERIA to the MARROWS, WILL SURVIVE. Enjoy |
DropShot:see your understanding. Artist that goes to audition are artist that has not really made any impact in acting field. When an artist makes a name for himself, stories are written to fit his body stature or he is custumed to fit the character in the story line. Whats my point? It is only when u are considered a “nobody“ that needs help that you are invited for this kind of tee party. But if you are considered important, they send their experts to your country to plead with u to allow them invest. Which ever way you see it. We dont need our minister to gobegging them to come invest. We have market for all kinds of things. We have the human resources. We have the right environment too. But since your president, Holy Saint Buhari has been going round shouting NIGERIA IS BROKE, NIGERIANS ARE CORRUPT. What do you expect? Everybody will start treating you as you address yourself. Thats why a people that developed their country with proceeds of corruption had the gut to call my beloved country “fantastically corrupt country.“ |
holaralph:if the things is cut off. He wont ever fall into temptation |
NOETHNICITY:even when Dangote‘s MRS & Adenuga‘s Conoil were named and indicted in subsidy scandal in 2012... Lolzzzz Clean business men. Meanwhile why not u people take a chill pill until court declears these guys guilty. |
This news got me angry. Why is a Nigerian minister addressing UK paliament? How many times have this minister addressed Nigerian paliament? Rubish. Nigeria wants to remain a begging nation. Slave mentality. Tufiakwa! |
Bad news sells like pure water. This is called the hunter got hunted... Cut off his pen.is straight up. Case closed. |

Following reports, Wednesday, that one of the
276 Chibok School girls abducted on April 14,
2014 by the Islamist group, Boko Haram has
been found, controversy however emanated
as to the real name of the girl. While the
activist who found the girl gave her name as
Amina Ali, the Nigerian army, in a
confirmatory statement issued on Wednesday
gave her name as Falmata Mbalala.
“This is to confirm that one of the abducted
Chibok schoolgirls… was among rescued
persons by our troops,” army spokesman
Colonel Sani Usman said in a statement. Usman
gave the girl’s name as Falmata Mbalala and
said she was found in Baale, near the town of
Damboa, which is 90 kilometres (56 miles)
southwest of the Borno state capital,
Maiduguri.
However, a youth Leader in Chibok town said
the girl was presented to the community
leader as Amina Ali but when she was later
taken to her school, the vice principal
recognized her name in the school’s register as
Aisha Ali.
According to Manaseh Allan, a Chibok youth
leader, “The girl was found by local vigilantes
in Kilakesa village on the edge of Sambisa
Forest near Damboa. “She was brought first to
Chibok by the vigilantes who took her to the
vice-principal of her school, who immediately
identified her as Aisha Ali, which is her name in
the school register.
“She was presented to community leaders as
Amina Ali but her name as it appears in the
school register is Aisha Ali. “It is common for
children in Chibok to be called with one name
in school and another at home.
“She met her parents, who recognised their
daughter before she was taken to the military
base in Damboa,” Ayuba Alamson Chibok, a
community leader in Chibok, told AFP. “Her
father’s name is Ali and the girl’s name is
Amina.
I know the family very well because I have
worked with them, being a spokesman for the
families of the Chibok girls.” Yakubu Nkeki,
head of the Abducted Chibok Girls Parents’
group, also confirmed her name and said she
was 17 when she was abducted.
He added: “She’s the daughter of my
neighbour… They brought her to my house.”
Tsambido Hosea Abana, a Chibok community
leader in the capital, Abuja, from the
BringBackOurGirls pressure group, also gave
an identical account. |
MrDavidson:they are bringing BH on their knees according to APC news channels. For the past 6months they have not been able to clear Sambisa forest and u believe BH is going on their knees. APC government should allow independent media houses to directly get involved in what is in NE. Then we shall know ho far. The ones that would have talked ate Aisha‘s rice and collected her brown envelope in Decemeber and that locked their mouth. |
BRAV0O:humnnnn point |
MrDavidson:u have lied here... APC is greater than the state. Dont mind me anyway. Bros how can u talk abouth their hide out? Do Nigerian Military know their hide out. Take it or leave it; Nigeria security men have no clue on where these guys are or how they operate. JTF is wasting state fund, tax payers money for nothing. Weak but noisy Military. |
If consulting GEJ will bring the expected respite to our economy, then it is a good one. If BUBU can ask GEJ for help, then Bubu will be the strngest man ever. Because it takes strenght to accept weakness. |
UAE123:did u say that labour strike is not effective? Lolzzzz... You must be living in North Pole. |
I am sure he has come to talk some sense into Buhari. Also to lend him some money so that he can stop running around with beging plate. |
