ettaetta:well neither Jesus Christ nor any of His disciples taught us anything about it in the Bible. Therefore i will advice the man to stay married to the wives because if he sends any of them away there will be no one to remary the women. However; if he goes to a church whose dogma teaches send the women away, to avoid being a disobident member, he should leave the church or seek counsel from a higher spiritual authority. |

Chigold101:yes thats what it should be. But thinking about Aisha Buhari and one Jeffeson makes my heart yarn. |
BUHARIISCURSED:ah! Why na? |
walcut:humnnn! But let us reason it. We have 3 arms of government. 1- the EXECUTIVE (president & vice enjoys immunity & life pension. 2- the legislature (they dont have immunity nor life pension) 3- the judicilly (he enjoys immunity & life pension. Doesnt it look like someone is been cheated here? Remember that the number 4 citizen is the SENATE PRESIDENT & number 5 citizen is the Speaker. Why will the chief judge who is lower now have immunity & life pension while someone who is higher in ranking doesnt? Lets look at it from that angle. |
AtlanticBreeze:why now? |

By Charles Adegbite and Romanus Ugwu, Abuja SOCIAL activist, Yinka Odumakin has described a proposed amendment of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), to allow immunity for presiding officers of the National Assembly as well as pension for the Senate President and deputy and Speaker of the House of Representatives and deputy as a desperate attempt to push Nigerians to the wall. The proposal by the senators was an outcome of the two-day retreat on Constitution Review organised by the Senate Ad Hoc Committee on Consti tution Review in Lagos at the weekend. Odumakin advised lawmakers not to try it when he spoke with Daily Sun yesterday. “How can they be asking for pension when there areNigerians who have not received salary for a year, despite the fact that the minimum wage is still N18,000. It is a sign that they are insensitive to the suffering of common people at this critical time when the nation is facing serious economic crisis.” On immunity from criminal prosecution, Odumakin insisted “there should not be immunity for governors and that nobody should be above the law, as long as you have come to serve us, now, they are now talking of immunity for lawmakers.” Meanwhile, Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has described the proposals as “self-serving and despicable.” SERAP, in a statement by its Executive Director, Adetokunbo Mumuni, called on Senate President Bukola Saraki and Speaker Yakubu Dogara to “show leadership and refocus the National Assembly to be able to perform their legislative functions in a manner that will rid the country of impunity for corruption and not embrace or tolerate it. Granting senators and Representatives immunity and life pensions would neither enhance governance accountability nor contribute to the betterment of Nigerians.” |
By Adetutu Folasade- Koyi PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina has said there is no friend or foe in the campaign against cor ruption. In an interview with an online newspaper, Premium Times, the presidential spokesman also said the Buhari-led administration would not hesitate to prosecute any member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) indicted for corruption. “On anti-corruption, of course, we know what has been uncovered in this country. I remember in the United Kingdom (UK) about two weeks ago, one foreign media asked the president – did you know it was this bad? “He confessed that he knew it was bad but he didn’t know it was that bad. It has turned out very, very bad. But it is also something that the government is tackling and the president is determined to leave a saner and cleaner Nigeria in terms of accountability and probity by the way he is going. “No matter what anybody says about this corruption war, no friend not foe, no retreat, no surrender.” Adesina, a former managing director of The Sun newspaper insisted the corruption war of this administration is not selective as it’s being viewed in some quarters. “Anybody, irrespective of who he is, if he has questions to answer on corrup tion, he will have to answer it. I heard people say that it is selective. They need to prove. He who alleges must also prove. The anti-corruption war is going on and going on very well and it has earned Nigeria a lot of respect in the international community… “You don’t just go running after people because you want to give the semblance of a balance. “If there is no allegation against an APC person or if there is no prima facie case, you don’t just bring them to trial just because you want to create a balance. But, if there is any prima facie case or there is a need for any APC person to be pulled in for question or to be tried, you be sure that that will happen. “The president has answered that question and the challenge he threw was – give me the evidence against them. You can’t just on the basis of suspicion say this person is corrupt. “If there is evidence against them, give me the evidence. He said it even in his media chat recently. He said, ‘if you have evidence even against a serving minister, that minister will answer for it.’ That is the president for you. “Then the second leg of the question is – how many people have been convicted? Unfortunately, the executive does not convict. The executive does not pronounce judgment. There is absolutely nothing the executive can do in a polity where there is separation of powers. There is separation of powers and so the executive cannot convict and it can not lean on the judiciary to begin to convict. The onus is on the judiciary to know that it has a role to play if Nigeria will win this anti-corruption war. But, has the war been on course? No doubt, it is on course.” Adesina reiterated that the president will make good a campaign promise to turn the economy around. “The third promise he made was to revive the economy. It is work in progress and we will get there. No doubt, jobs will come from agriculture and solid minerals and other policies will stimulate the economy. It is N6 trillion budget, for instance. for the first time. If it is properly implemented and there is no reason why it will not be properly implemented, it will stimulate the economy. There will be more spending money at the disposal of Nigerians. “So, I will say; so far so good, the government is on course. I have used this illustration before I will use again. It is like a plane that has taken off and it is gaining altitude and its nose is in the air. As long as its nose is in the air, it is climbing. “If the nose is down it is a danger signal.” |
Bryan12:dear friend, it seems you are still a teenager. Maybe I‘m wrong. Please d frgive me. Take note of this & dont ever forget it in your life time “THERE IS NO SELF MADE MAN.“ Everybody wealthy out there or popular is a product of someone‘s else‘ benovelence. For you to succed in anything in life, you need someone to either connect you or introduce you to someone. Even God cant help you without using a human being. Humility, is important to our success. Store this in your heart as you grow u. |
Odeyinigbin:for wishing me this without knowing my story. I send it back to u but u will not die; u will be alive to share ur story & odeal here in NL, and all of will sympathiz with u. Pyno30:how can i be ok after i v been brutalizd by soldiers because they had gun and i have nothing. Taaaaa! I dont pretend bro. Uniformed men especially soldiers always think they are above the law & human destruction. I hold no pity for the dead soldier. |
PrincessAnna:me break rule 3...LOLZZZZZ Soldiers broke GOD‘s rule 2 the day they threathend to shoot me after they destroyed my property. |
eherbal:wow! I didnt know that soldiers are human beings. They dont treat others as human being bro. They brutalizd & molested me badly in 2012. It is still fresh & painful to me. I can never show respect to a DEAD MILITARY MAN |
NOC1:yes I am sick of watching soldiers harrass innocent civilians. I am sick of using the power of the gun & their uniform to intimidate people. I was once a victim of soldiers brutality. They used their vehicle to destroy my phone & also slapped at the nape. It was painful. Their senior officer threathend to end my life and no man will question him if i should say a word. People also told me to let it go because they are soldiers & if they should kill me, noone would question them. I can never in this life have PITY ON ANY ARMY OFFICER. The robber paid the Army officer in his own coin. PERIOD. |
dollyjoy:women who know their place in a man‘s life RUN their men. Rule their men & control their husbands. Because a “real“ man little sign of respect, he becomes your toy. |
