It is illegal to remove a car plate nos,even the VI0 staff can sneak a plate no from D office and give criminals to operate with,so they have no right for a plate no issued out already tobe in their possession again especially without the consent of the owner,
But what has VI0 got to do with traffic offense like wrong parking,that is the duty of Lastma.and the car should be towed not removing no plates.its illegal

With the way all this vehicle manufacturers are tweaking fuel consumption, emission levels etc etc etc
I do not trust the figures in their glossy brochures.
If older engines are maintained appropriately, their consumption levels would definitely be better than the newer engine(even with cylinder shutdown technology).
And yes, the 505 Evolution would almost definitely consume less fuel than a V12 Bi Turbo.

Ok I won't campare with what I'm not familiar with,will a 505 evolution,Honda Babyboy,V boot i4 i6 consume less than the V6 12plugs? From my own experience No.I started to reason that I have been dulling myself all along thinking the V6 are fuel guzzlers

Adonbilivit,as technology advances the manufacturers of those cars has fuel ecenomy in mind when producing them.imagine someone driving a peugeot 505 Evolution and feeling he s smarter in fuel economy than a V12 bit turbo.

1st thing,Benz will not perform as bad as u described if ur plugs are bad,though it can be bad in performance but not dat u won't be able to move .
The benz plugs are tiny mouth plugs,u can get any tiny mouth plug to test the performace b4 going for the OEM plugs.
Ur prob might be sometin else aside plugs

that must be a Mercedes, mine is a Benz E430 V8 16plugs. The only difference now is... My tank is now bigger all of a sudden, thanks to filling station adjusted Meter and pump price. Wanted to stunt one time, so I told the attendant "fill up", before I knew what was happening I don see 80ltr at 11,250 and my tank was still asking for more, naso I tell attendant say make he stop for 12k. Mine is E320 V6 12plugs,but my tank s much smaller,I had filled it from reserve light on with less than 5k.the tank is even much smaller than that of my W124 i4.I filled that with 7k5.
I think the V6 tank is smaller as the fuel economy is great

But you seeing 80ltrs to read 11,500 means u are not buying at the normal pump price,80ltrs on normal pump price is less than 7k.

I realised there are lots of converted W203 in Nigeria,I have seen some to be very reliable,while some can be dirty like a mechanic's.I remember one day @ ladipo,a lady came with same W203 and saw one that its interior is kazeemized and the lasy was like is D car owned by a mechanic wondering what on earth could have made such a reliable car so dirty.meanwhile the said car was converted and develops several issues from its gear to sucking keys,acceleration et al.

Toyota Camry being a best seller is not a Nigerian invention. it is a phenomenon that has its roots in the world's biggest auto market. The average person that buys a car just wants it to take him from point A to B with less hassle. He does not care about the 0-60 times or top speed of 200mph. A couple of people would care about that though but they don't count much. Do I like german cars? Yes of course. I drive an A6. But then I know my camry has been a lot more reliable than the A6.

I will ask u a simple question and the way u respond would determine if I will continue this argument. Between a Mercedes Benz c350 and a Lamborghini aventador, which one do u think is more reliable? U seem to not know the difference between performance and reliability. High performance comes with sacrifice to reliability. U can't expect a FWD car to have the same stability at high speed with a RWD or AWD car.

I have not driven a lambourghini and never had a family or friend own one to talk about its reliability.

Saw a red C350 with black wheels on the other lane from lekki to ajjah,admired it.later I saw it has turned and passed the Accord,I started to imagine how I could think of racing with that machine as some claimed they did .I know that machine and I dare not race with it driving honda even though the speed can,the stability is incomparable

Welli have been driving the 2011 honda Accord since last wednesday and despte the car in perfect shape withh all round brand new tyres,I still feel tthe steering like a toy as its shakes unlike the benz,I have seen benz with many xmas lights on & keeps going,my friend would even say all na story.his converted w203 used to display upto 16malfunction and him still dey rock am on
I drove a merc C class 98 model and,D trottle cable would not return,pressing so hard to the extreme dat I only pressed on brakes to get home.I believe if it were toyota or honda wit D way I drove the C class,I'm sure it might not start next day or engine would ve worn out & lost pressure.

Talking from personal experience,MB is the most reliable brand of cars,mostly designed not to park u on D road,but will get home come what may,and their parts are designed to last longer,except there is another meaning of reliable,but if its same meaning as in the dictionary,then MB is designed for ruggedity and reliability.not beauty and luxury,and this is why most top shots go for the benz cos of its design to stand the test of time

But to be honest,I have been so used to manual & enjoy its drive,if u watch my feet on the manual pedals in a sound engine,you will think I'm driving an auto,I ve even had drivers asking if my car was auto or manual as they hardly see me make use of the clutch or change gears,I think I'm very good @ driving manuals and I love them.with a manual I fear not for weak battery,transmission failure or kick starter failure,if clutch pack up @ ibadan I can still drive D car to lagos wella,meanwhile my manual cars hardly have clutch probs except I give someone else to drive

Might be ur dashboard malfunctioning,cos its rare for an error to affect the speedometer,temperature and ABS @ same time,did u tamper with the dashboard lately?maybe its not well connected or failing,

Yea,so back to the basis,I'm taking my time because of my friend's experience,he just mean transmission change is try n error till u get a good working one,he had used a W203 that's C240 and I know what he faced with several gear change though it was converted,then when I hear valve body I run cos I really pity him.and then the gear costs about 90k I guess,maybe they were not much available as they are now.

I called many established auto shops, and none of them rebuilds transmissions. Everybody said 'replace the transmission; you are wasting your time trying to fix it'. I found it hard to stomach, especially when I hear '13 pin cannot be repaired; anybody that tells you he can fix it is trying to rip you off!'. My technical part kept telling me there is no mechanical equipment that cannot be repaired, albeit at card level.

When all attempts to repair it failed, I decided to buy another one. That one too, got fried, even though I suspect poor installation job. Another one was procured, and the vehicle eventually got on the road again. The truth? I have never experienced the drive and quietness of my original transaxle. Now, I know where the issue is coming from. If I knew what I now know, it would have been easier.

Before my troubles, I had no idea what a valve body does (believe it or not, I never heard about it! ). When the auto mechanic told me the problem was from my valve body, I started searching the internet. My first forage into the world of automatic transmissions! I was helpless, so are many other car owners; I hate helplessness! So, I devoted resources to study auto transmissions, and enrolled for training.

The truth is that MOST transmissions at Ladipo either have issues, or close to having one. Nobody replaces a working transmission! If you get one removed from accidented vehicle, you are happy, but don't know the effect of the impact on the transmission. The engine is much more tolerant to impact than the transmission, given the fact that the transmiss

Okay, no more stories! Lets get to business!

I had told my mechanic to secure my old transmission as I plan to repair it. He never believed me - 'Oga, na dirty work o!'. Two weeks ago, I went and carried it from him, and started looking at it. Sorry I am stingy with pictures, dirty oily hands and a white camera dont mix well. Wifey helped with the shots. Meanwhile, the transmission expert that worked on it told me he had changed the 'fibers' (friction disks), but I have realized I am the first to take off the bell housing

For me, the first place to start is the valve body, as that is the root cause of 90% issues with automatic transmissions. If you don't fix the valve body, you will keep toasting your rebuilds.

In the picture below, the sump has been removed, and the solenoid cables discoected. The filter is to be discarded.

Its from the bolded that makes me give my friend's idea a 2nd thought as I was almost buying another transmission before I saw this thread.2ndly I don't like my friend's maintenance scheme as he prefers to manage rather than replace.pls @ kashif advice or refer me to a competent specialist.thanks

I really did not pay attention to the code,just rememba D guy was showing me a diagram of the valve body with a red line pointing to where the fault is.
@ kashif do u advice I change the entire transmission?I don't want to do money wise pounds foolish,I hate having to deal with kazeems,I am taking my time so I do the best and get over with the prob once and for all

My E class 320 V6 12plugs had issue with the radiator and was mixing the gear oil with the radiator water,I got the radiator changed and changed the gear oil plus filter,but I notice the gear won't select more than one and two,I got computer to diagnose and it complained of valve body,I'm left wit option of changin the valve body or entire gear,but friend advised I should not,but rather fix thevalve body.before I stumbled on this thread,and like he said that its after I change the gears that I will realise dey are all same but just valve body which is mostly try n error and omo ibo will be using my car to test their valve body.
Pls anyone know a good gear specialist for benz around lagos?I know mine is a minor thing with good hands

The merc GLK is a ladies car,why did you give up your 2012 E class,that is a machine.
Anyway since you have used the E class once before,I think its advisable you stick with the benz,you won't have probs with mechs,and you realise its almost same as the E class but not the GlK,get an ML or GL if u want an SUV

He should have flushed the entire system!

Now you have a new radiator (which should have ordinarily solved your problem) BUT you/and your mechanic failed to drain the contaminated transmission fluid as well as replaced the transmission fluid and replace the transmission fluid

So assuming its not too late, tow the car to another mechanic who will have to break down the entire system, and flush the system as well

and replace all fluids once more, transmission and coolant

If this does not solve the problem, you will have to buy a new transmission

Thanks.its so sad how techanic cause one prothunbo gear work perfectly with the car,cos I got a gear specialist help me drain the mixed oil in the gear and fixed a new gear filter,got a computer to programme,but now it moves only on emergency,though sometimes it selects,the gear man suggests I change the valve body,the parts seller advice I buy another complete gear,my issue is I hope the problem of the car won't start the moment I change its transmission as it electronic and not cable transmission,pls advise

My MB E320 had issues with the radiator mixing with the gear oil,I had the oil coolant changed but the problem still persists until I changed the radiator,which now solved the proble,the mechanic only drained the oil from the gear box and put new oil,he did not change the gear filter.I tested it and the gears changed initially,but as I parked it to buy some stuff I got back and it would not move in any gears,Reverse,Drive,no movement,what could have caused it,and how can one rectify the problem?

As in the treatment they gave to here before he brought her to my place. 1. Rabies killed VAC on the 5th of Sept 2. Leptospira on the 7 of Sept 3.DHPP on 1st of Sept all these was just this month. And i also the she has been vaccinated, she eat and can walk around

They might have it on the card that they actually gave her those vaccnations while they truly did not.
If you discover ticks on the dog,u will need to get rid of the ticks 1st,and deworm,the dog does not really need much of vet attention but feeding,so to save u from spending too much.u can treat tick fever with tablets by urself and deworm also can be done wit tabs by urself.get a good puppy dry food for the dog"Arion pup preferably.
