I'd say avoid every BMW E60 and Merc E350, they're very unreliable. So so terribly unreliable. The M35 has poor cheap leather and looks tacky inside.

I'd actually say, get a GS350. Its faster than that BMW E60 530i, E350 merc and M35. Yet more equally as comfy as the BMW and merc and more reliable than all combined.

The problem with some Benz owners is
1) Never let a roadside mechanic touch ur car
2)Get a scanner and it will amaze you Benz especially the E Class is the most reliable of all brands, u will realise most of the the issue can be fixed DIY
But once inlet a roadside compromise it
That's where you hear Benz is unreliable

Buy a good Benz and a scanner and you are good to go for many years

Your problem might actually be ECU as Orex has said,and u should noyt have allowed them touch the valve body.
Quick one,
1.Did u scan the car before the valve body was worked on?
2. If yes what error codes did u get?

Ur problem might have been the ECU and the kazeem dat tampered the gearbox might have compounded the problem.

Now way 4ward.if u scanned the car b4 the gearbox was tampered & the errors codes u got were ECU related,then change the ECU by driving to the market close to you where can get access to many ECUs to trouble shoot wit and u might still have to change D gear

I mean once you are asked to show ur DL and u present the originals,they will delay u till dey find a fault.as ur balls is already in their hands.its more apropriate to present photocopies

Road safety is even good,the worse to eperience is the VIO.last time I checked each document u don't have attracts a fine of 20k and immediate impounding of the vehicle until all docs are sorted plus tax clearance and domorhage.beta not to stop for dem if u don't have ur docs intact,u regret u did.

You actually do not need to throttle down,u only slow down,no need to trafficate and don't look dem in the face and continue ur jorney in slow pace,@least u slowed down!

When you begin to check how much a car consume in a month,then that car is becoming unreliable.
Most good cars only needs tobe fueled,and the car should not consume excessively.
It depends solely on ur maintenance culture to keep a good car in shape,if u don't run into a ditch,if u don't revv ur car @ start up in the morning,if u check ur coolant regularly plus ur engine oil,ur brake pads changed when due.then u cannot compare how much a good car should take in a month.
Some works in yaba and reside in epe,some egbeda and work in badagry,the stress the car faces daily is not same.I don't calculate all these I just buy fuel to where I need to go.

Depends on the oil grade used,mine gives 15000kms after servicing with full synthetic oil grade which I can barely cover in 6mths.it can stay up to 1year.

For lagos,no where really escapes when it rains seriously,is it yaba ni,abi surulere,only ikeja is better,is it iyana ipaja abule egba or sango?I still like the lekki cos after the rain u have clean roads due to the sands,but in some areas its very messy roads even days after the rains
