Injured Kano Pillars defender Reuben Ogbonnaya will be re-admitted to undergo surgery to remove a bullet from his head while the duo of Adamu Murtala and Otekpa Eneji will be discharged from the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital on Wednesday.

it previously reported that five players who were left injured after Thursday’s robbery attack on a 25-man contingent bus along Abuja-Lokoja road on their way to Owerri were re-admitted on Friday.

On Monday, Caf generously postponed their second round tie in the Caf Champions League against Morocco’s Moghreb Tetouane earlier scheduled for March 14 by a week as its injured players continue to recover from the attack trauma.

Team doctor Idris Ibn Garba confirmed that the injured players are recuperating just as medical treatment is intensified to ensure their full recovery.

“The players are recovering fast - Gambo (Mohammed) is getting better but we are waiting for the management and government to conclude arrangement for his medical trip abroad,” Garba told Goal.

“Adamu and Eneji will by God’s grace be discharged tomorrow (Wednesday) from the Hospital. I have confirmed from the medical personnel attending to them- he said before evening tomorrow they will be released to continue their treatment at home.

“Ogbonnaya still has a bullet in his skull which will likely be removed on Wednesday morning. He was asked to come tomorrow morning. Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), has taken some disciplinary actions against some of its lecturers in Awka. The University has officially placed five of its lecturers on suspension for examination misconduct. The Institution’s Director of Publication, Emma Ojukwu confirmed the suspensions in an address of Newsmen on Tuesday.
He revealed that the suspension of the lecturers became official on March 2 and the lecturers were to be suspended for three months with only half salaries, pending the conclusion of the Senior Staff Disciplinary Committee Report.

The Mr Emma noted that the lecturers were from the Department of Pure and Industrial Chemistry and the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering. The lecturers were accused of providing answers to student and awarding frivolous marks to underserving students.
The other offences include the failure to submit examination attendance list, soliciting of funds from students for upgrading of results, sharp practices and irregularities in result sheets. 2015 Gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Alliance, Alex Otti and his team of supporters were brutally attacked by thugs wielding machetes and guns at Ndioru village, Ikwuano LGA. Otti posted this on his facebook page;

I and my supporters were attacked by some sponsored thugs at the venue of our town hall meeting at Ndioru Village in Ikwuano LGA
It was a gory sight as the thugs armed with guns, machetes and stones descended on my supporters.
Some of my supporters were injured while some cars in my convoy were damaged.

I then urged my teeming supporters to exercise restraints in the face of continued provocation while I lodged a complaint at the Police Command.

No degree of cowardly attacks will stop the transformation of Abia State which has already commenced.

Ndi Abia, pleas use your PVC‘s to expel brigandage from the God’s Own State and embrace change which is already in the air.

Nigeria’s dominance in athletics on the African continent has again been proven as the country’s contingent to the 12th edition of the Africa Junior Athletics Championships which ended Sunday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, finished tops in the four-day event.
The Nigerian team, led by Ese Brume and Divine Oduduru, finished top of the medals table with 12 gold, 8 silver and 7 bronze medals.
Coming behind Nigeria was South Africa who scooped 9 gold, 7 silver and 7 bronze medals.
Hosts Ethiopia settled for third spot in the final medal standings having garnered 7 gold, 12 silver and 10 bronze medals.
The Nigerian contingent, who were selected from the last D.K. Olukoya Athletics Championships held in Lagos, gave so much to cheer as there seems to be some ray of hope that the youngsters on parade can improve to be world beaters.
Since Theddus Okpara won the country’s first medal, a silver in the men’s Long Jump in the opening day of the competition, the Nigerian athletes continued to win more medals and set new championship records.
The quartet of Aniekeme Alphonsus, Omotayo Abolaji, Blessing Adiakerehwa and Ese Brume broke the 18-year-old record in the 4x100m relays event for women.
The men’s 4x100m team made up of Thankgod Igube, Victor Peka, Chukwudi Olisakwe and Divine Oduduru also impressed as they broke the 40s barrier with a time of 39.99s to win the event.
Also Brume did show class as she added the Triple Jump gold to her Long Jump title with a Championship Record (CR) of 6.33m. The youngster won four medals (3 gold and 1bronze).

Barely ten days to the commemoration of his first year in office, the governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano and his wife, Ebelechukwu have bagged some of the highest honours to be conferred on anyone by the Onitsha Arch-Diocesan chapter of the Catholic Laity Council of Nigeria (CLCN).

The high-performing governor and his wife were conferred the rare titles of Duke and Duchess in a solemn ceremony at the Shanahan Hall Onitsha that also marked the fortieth Anniversary of the Catholic Laity Council.

The honour is coming on the heels of Governor Obiano’s recent emergence as the most transparent and accountable governor in Nigeria following a report by the Federation of Accounts Sub-Committee on International Public Sector Accounting System (IPSAS) which ranked Anambra atop of the log with an impressive score of 80 percent. Burna Boy
Burna is another artist that’s inked up all over. Pretty much his whole upper body is inked up. His neck tattoo though is the dopest of the bunch. A dove in the sky breaking out of the clouds. Nice.
Davido
To be honest most of Davido’s tats are not anything special. However the tattoo of the star on his neck with the word “Believe” right under is pretty dope. It’s usually seen more on girls but this one works well for the Aye crooner. Plus it’s not crowded by anything so it sticks out
Ice Prince
The one Ice Prince tat we see all the time is the one of his right fore arm. It reads Bless, and even though there’s nothing special about the wording, the design and font of it is pretty nice
Iyanya
Iyanya’s shoulder tattoo is what he’s most famous for. But his recently finished, chest tattoo is what makes his whole tattoo ensemble complete. Dope piece of art.
