Over the time, education in Nigeria have become so competitive that with a good and best result you can be denied admission into the university of your choice in the country, but with a little tips and advice, if followed i guess you are d of others. Nigeria have a limited admission space with a huge number of people competing for admission which has made many people keep wasting money and time yearly writting Entrance exam to their institution of choice. The below steps are concrete steps to follow to secure admission. 1. Be studious: many Nigerians are not ready to study, surfing the net and engaging in other vices have been their order of the day, waiting for chips during exam (my experience: I did this during my secondary school waec chemistry, not that i dont know but I believe I dont have to waste my head struggling hard to cram until the exam day I was unable to write anything because no chip get to me cause of the invigilator and supervisor). 2. Chose a less competitive course: many have decided to choose medicine and law because of the name, fame and income when they dont even know how competitive it is by a stronger and higher people in the society (my experience: O have a friend that rejected admission because he was not given Law for 2 years and later when he discovered he is getting old he switch to MASS COMM the third year) 3. Chose a less competitive Higher Institution: it is not compulsory you go to a federal University or the best University in Nigeria before you make it, if you know what you are doing and God is with you my brothers and sisters, going to best university in the country is not the solution, be focused and determined. 4. Do something when you are not yet admitted e.g. engage in computer training and other training guilds cause this will come back to help you sometimes later after you schooling, the more you learn the more and better you know. 5. Attend Tutorials: Tutorials are ways of bringing back to your memories things that you have been taught before, and making it simple and explanatory to you, attend and meet people better than you to take you through steps you need to pass through in life. #justopinion |

While most of us were probably still attempting to perfect our cursive handwriting at age nine, Cory Nieves is running a full-fledged cookie business. He’s the founder and CEO of Mr. Cory’s Cookies, his own booming cookie business that he started in an effort to help his mom buy a car after moving from NYC to New Jersey in 2009. But what sets the curly-haired entrepreneur apart from the competition is his GQ-approved sense of style. The boy’s sharp! And if you think it’s his mom dressing him, guess again. It’s all him. When asked by strangers if she dresses her son, Cory’s mom usually replies, “Do you see what I have on? I need my son to dress me.” LOL! more pix @ http://.in/2014/10/meet-cory-most-stylish-9-year-old-ceo.html#more See MORE below:

According to reports, Frances Oneya was killed at about 11am yesterday, October 10 after robbers trailed her from a bank on PTI Road to Ovie Palace Road in the Effurunarea of the state. The victim, said to be a mother of four, tried to escape but was reportedly shot twice in the neck and died instantly. A Hazmat Ebola-gear team rushed on to a plane from Philadelphia in the Dominican Republic after a man sneezed and yelled: ‘I have Ebola!’ The American passenger, who does not have Ebola, was detained by four officers and taken to the airport’s medical center in Punta Cana as he declared: “I ain’t from Africa. S**t!”. See photos + video… The remaining 255 people were forced to stay on board for two hours until he was cleared, despite airline staff insisting they believed it was a poor-taste joke. Dumb joke to make, and his fellow passengers were not amused. You can see them hurling taunts and boos as he walks off the plane. click here for video http://.in/2014/10/man-jokingly-sneezes-on-plane-then.html

Weeks after Israel ended its bombardment of Gaza, Palestinian residents have started coming back to what remains of their homes and livelihoods. Operation Protective Edge reduced entire neighbourhoods to rubble, flattened iconic buildings and killed more than 2,000 people. According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, more than 100,000 people were displaced within Gaza, some of whom have been forced to shelter in schools for months, living on scarce food rations amid unhygienic conditions. Many were left with little more than the clothes on their backs after fleeing their homes. Conditions inside these shelters deteriorate daily, prompting families to venture back to whatever remains of their homes. In some cases, families have erected small huts over the rubble. They lack basic services, such as water and electricity - but even as winter edges nearer, there is no clear solution in sight. http://.in/2014/10/in-pictures-remnants-of-gaza.html
