agog: May God grant this icon an eternal repose. I love his "Things Fall Apart - the centre cannot hold and the falcon cannot hear the falconer" quotation so much. This is a William Butler Yeats quote from "The Second Coming"... Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity. Surely some revelation is at hand; Surely the Second Coming is at hand. The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi Troubles my sight: a waste of desert sand; A shape with lion body and the head of a man, A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun, Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it Wind shadows of the indignant desert birds. The darkness drops again but now I know That twenty centuries of stony sleep Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle, And what rough beast, its hour come round at last, Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born? |
info4bayempire: Whether we left out of summit or not no foreigner can handle our country better than we ourselves so the summit is not a big deal and we are not moved the whole world needs Nigeria which we all know.Yes, because Nigeria has done such a great job of managing its own affairs... |
Smooyis: GEJ. Pls dont run a stubborn administration. Whats wrong is wrong. The voice of the people sometimes is the voice of God. The pardon of God is more than that of pardon. Dont put urself in God's position of pardoning mercy. Clannish pardoning of people will only potray u in bad light as is presently happening. Its like u have surrounded urself with bad people. Those who cannot look straight to ur eyes and tell u the truth. Hmmmmm. Watch it!"When the missionaries came to Africa they had the Bible and we had the land. They said 'Let us pray.' We closed our eyes. When we opened them, we had the Bible and they had the land." - Desmond Tutu |
chingyjant: Homosexuality is a strange practice in Nigeria.Infact we only know that act as an act practiced by animals. Why should we behave like animals when we are not one? Also it looks filty and disgusting.Inserting your joystick in where excreter comes out leaves one to imagine if the people practicing it are not maniacs.Go punder on it and i believe others who share my view will enlighten you moreHumans are animals and i wish you well on your intellectual journey: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution Many heterosexual couples practice anal sex, so that's a bit of an odd argument to make. Why do the actions of two consenting adults in the privacy of their own homes affect you? I would suggest that this and the other tribal enmities i've witnessed in this forum are distracting many of your countrymen from the real issue of poverty and income inequality. |
Why is there no discussion of the unequal distribution of wealth in this forum? The per capita GDP in my country is 16x that of Nigeria... Surely there's some sort of moral imperative for my country to help your country, but i've read countless threads on here and have seen nothing about this. People in my country spend money that could buy food for starving people on the stupidest things... why do $4,000 handbags even exist in a world in which 2.7 billion people live on less than $2 a day? Very interested in the perspective from your country. Thanks from Australia. |
Hi i'm an Australian new to this forum... could someone clear up why people on here seem to hate homosexuals so much? |
