agog: May God grant this icon an eternal repose. I love his "Things Fall Apart - the centre cannot hold and the falcon cannot hear the falconer" quotation so much.
We shouldn't turn his death into an ethnic frenzy as observed in the initial trend, but let us all as One Nigeria reflect on what has befallen us as a nation. This is a time of solemn reflection for us all.
May Almighty God make Nigeria great and may He touch the hearts of our leaders to live exemplary life of service to mankind like the late professor.

I would suggest that this and the other tribal enmities i've witnessed in this forum are distracting many of your countrymen from the real issue of poverty and income inequality.

Why is there no discussion of the unequal distribution of wealth in this forum? The per capita GDP in my country is 16x that of Nigeria... Surely there's some sort of moral imperative for my country to help your country, but i've read countless threads on here and have seen nothing about this. People in my country spend money that could buy food for starving people on the stupidest things... why do $4,000 handbags even exist in a world in which 2.7 billion people live on less than $2 a day? Very interested in the perspective from your country. Thanks from Australia.
