The Commissioner of Police, Mr Babatunde Mobayo, said Oguntoyinbo was declared wanted for his alleged masterminds of series of bank robbery and kidnappings in the state and the neighbouring Ondo State.

Mobayo said, the suspect, who is now a fugitive and an indigene of Iyin Ekiti, in Irepodun/Ifelodun local government areas of Ekiti State, had allegedly perpetrated series of heinous crimes in Ekiti

The statement signed by the Ekiti State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Sunday Abutu, said Oguntoyinbo was suspected to have masterminded different bank robbery and kidnapping incidents in Ekiti and Ondo States.

It was gathered that police were resolute to bring the alleged culprit to book , because lives were lost and large cash of monies carted away in robberies traced to him.

Therefore, police has made on air announcement to anyone with a reasonable information to the culprits whereabout “Such person shall be rewarded with a huge sum of N5 million.”


“Any person with useful information concerning his whereabouts can please contact the nearest Police Station or the Special Anti Robbery Squad Department on these phone numbers

While Nigerians will get six- month passport suspension, foreigners face outright visa cancellation, it said.

The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 National Coordinator, Dr Sani Aliyu, disclosed this during a briefing on Monday.

Nigerian Comedienne and actress, Bimbo Ogunboye, popularly known as Lepacious Bose has taken to Instagram to recount a time when she broke down in tears after she lost weight and was finally able to use a seat belt without an extension.

She explained how she had to use seat belt extensions whenever she travelled by air and how even the seat belt in cars could not go around her because of her weight.

A 31-year-old lady, Dorcas Jepkemoi Chumba has died after she fell into a dam while on a date with her fiancé, Benjamin Kazungu, at Chepkiit Waterfalls in Nandi County, Kenya.

According to reports, Chumba was swept away by raging waters on Sunday afternoon while Kazungu was using her phone to take pictures of her.

It was gathered that Mr Kazungu tied fruitlessly to rescue her from the raging waters. Chumba’s family has since requested the county government to help in retrieving the body of the deceased.

“The tragedy indeed took place and we have come to accept that Chumba is no more. We are, however, requesting for help to retrieve the body and give her a befitting send-off,” the deceased’s brother Victor Kiptoo pleaded.

The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a man for allegedly raping a 4-year-old girl.

The 50-year-old man, Yusuf Bako of Yakubu Wanka Street Bauchi allegedly lured the victim, Hauwa Jamilu to a Mosque located at Aminu Street and had canal knowledge of her.

It was alleged that the suspect was among inmates pardoned by the state governor few months ago to deconjest prisons and curb the spread of coronavirus.

Spokesperson for the command, DSP Ahmed Mohammed Awkil, who confirmed the incident in a statement on Friday, September 4, said that the suspect was arrested on Thursday and has confessed to the crime.

"On the 03/09/2020 at about 1130hrs one Jamilu Abdullahi 'M' of Igbo Quarters reported at the Township Police Station that on same date at about 0920hrs One Yusuf Bako 'M' aged 50years of Yakubu Wanka Street Bauchi lured one Hauwa'u Jamilu 'F' aged 4years to a Mosque located at Aminu Street and “had canal knowledge of her”.
