Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from Konduga Local Government of Borno State have returned home after about three years of residing in refugee camps in Maiduguri. Last week, the state government announced its intention to relocate IDPs from Konduga, Mafa and Dikwa councils back home following the return of peace to the areas. Governor Kashim Shettima urged them to be law abiding while at home. He added that the action was aimed at allowing the IDPs celebrate Sallah in their homes. “Government has set aside 25 hectares of land to allow the people engage in meaningful ventures. We will assist those wishing to engage in agriculture in terms of improved seedlings and other things,” he promised. “We thank God for today because it is significant in our efforts to return people back to their liberated communities source:http://freedomnewsng..com.ng/2016/09/borno-idps-return-home-3-years-after.html CC:lalasticlala

Veteran Comedian Alibaba speaks on the state of the economy and suggests a way out by creating new sources of revenue. Read below. "The economy will remain like this for a long while. Because the strings that pull us into dire straits are still pulling us even much stronger. How did we get here? We were making so much from oil and neglected all other sources of revenue. We did not only neglected those sources of revenue, we did not invest the revenue from oil in infrastructural development of the country. We were not futuristic in our planning either. Did we increase the number of hostels in our universities to accommodate the new numbers of students? Pay teachers well? Did we build more roads to take care of the millions of cars and transportation needs? Did we improve the services of the police force? Did we use the money to build better hospitals? Did the new industries create more jobs? Did we improve our power supply? Did we have stronger and modified laws that made sure that people who broke the laws were punished adequately to discourage others? Did we tidy up our pension scheme so that people are assured that they did not need to steal to assure themselves of better retirement? What have we done to reduce cost of administration? Read what comedian Alibaba wrote below.. Just days ago, I wrote about how people use their hopes and aspirations to judge other people's realities. @floydmayweather is not as rich as @zuck, and they definitely do not have the same lifestyles. They both do not have the same path to success. They as sure as day, do not also have the same pleasures. The problem we have, that then begins to define our vision of everything around us, is that we expect our situation, or the situation of other people, to orchestrate ours. We even then use it as a yardstick to judge others. We all have different ways of expressing our successes. You can't decide mine. That said, let me talk of something that also drives home this point. 2 artistes get paid a cumulative N15m each for different shows. One goes shopping. Shoes. Wristwatches. Necklaces. Jeans. Champagne. Car. And is turning up at different events #LOUD. The kind of society we have recognizes his success. The other artiste, sets up a studio. Pays school fees for some people, supports his colleagues careers, completes a house for his mum, puts N5m in fixed deposit for a home ownership project, lives the same in the eyes of the society #QUIET. The kind of society we have, is the one that will believe that the loud guy is the most successful. The society does not really know what his plans are. They want to see you show it. This is exactly why people get into political offices and they are pushed to steal. The other day one lady asked me why I showing off in a monster truck when people are hungry. My monster truck is below N4m. The same lady attended a wedding at Civic Center, her diamonds necklace, wristwatch, rings, bracelets and Chanel bag would round up nicely at N14m plus or minus! But I am the one who shows off. So, as @daddyfreeze has explained, @simoncowell may wear a T-shirt, but will he stay in a $80 a night hotel room? I will stay in $30 hotel SEF. All fingers no equal. What we should learn how to do is not equate ourselves with others when it comes to rewarding ourselves. I can afford it, but you won't see me pouring champagne on the floor to show I have arrived. Some people who own Gwagons are not as rich as those who don't own one. Choices differ See what Freeze's reply in the caption below CC:lalasticlala source:http://freedomnewsng..com.ng/2016/09/mark-zuckerbergs-humility-freeze.html
