Cakes n Cream make the best cakes + their prices are reasonable cool and the latter is a very important factor wink
dear lami4life,

i'll not be arguing ur point but would suggest u check again (especially the price part). Its sometimes hard to determine whose cake tastes best because people have different tastes.

Bolaji (owner of Cakes and Cream) is a dear friend of mine but we (Bakers World) have been around for 25 years. What do u think that means  tongue

Its not the cost of the gift that matters its the motive behind it. Most ladies already believe that when guys give presents they expect something in return. Make sure that the lady sees the gesture as that coming from someone who cares for and values her (no strings attached).
FoodRe: Who Makes The Best Cakes In Lagos? by knzguru(op): 10:30am On Mar 10, 2008
There are 2 factors that affect the price of a cake. Size and decoration. One of the cakes u saw above cost N2000 so u really dont have to spend a fortune to get a beautiful cake and delicious.

I was at a cake store somewhere in ikeja (to view the competition) and i saw a wedding cake that cost N450,000.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Workforce Management Centre,are They Real by knzguru(m): 4:45pm On Dec 12, 2007
Workforce Management Center is more than just an HR/recruitment firm. Their WORKFORCE NATIONAL CAREER CENTER is one of the few federally recognised CAREER DEVELOPMENT CENTRES in Nigeria and was recently accredited by the Federal Ministry of Education to set up a National Career Centre.

About the fees charged, the idea is to equip graduates with relevant skills that make them readily employable. After completion of this training they recommend participants to the various organisations they are working with.

And no i don't work for them but i have been to the organisation and spoken with them and that's where i got my information. I've alos done some checking around to verify that they are for real. They are! www.wfncc.com

Also check out AGDC, After-school Graduate Development Center (www.graddev.com), they are also an accredited National Career Center
PoliticsRe: Religious Riot In Bauchi Over Demolished Mosque by knzguru(m): 4:17pm On Dec 12, 2007
@luv2talk

I must say that i agree with I-man. Your arguement lack merit or would you say that a mere BUILDING created by man is equal to a LIFE created by GOD?

Northern Nigerian muslims need to be re-educated on the tenets of true Islam. Even basic education, which by the way is seriously lacking in major parts of the North, would help alleviate such behaviour but then considering the fact that false extremist religion is a powerful political tool wielded by unscrupulous politicians i dont see much been done about this in the nearest future.

Christians left such babaric acts hundreds of years ago so extremist mulims really should grow up and get with the times.

Christianity EtcRe: Redeemed Church Opens World's Biggest Auditorium, Costs N7.7b by knzguru(m): 12:28pm On Dec 12, 2007
Tithes and offering are given voluntrarily and even then i dont think we believe we're giving it to a man but to
God and we only expect bleesings form Him. We should not get judgemental and reswolve to finger pointing when it comes to Church issues as we know that what anyone does in the name of God will be returned to him.

Management everywhere in the world is allowed to disburse or allocate funds as they deem necessary in order to accomplish their aims and objectives. Church management therefore allows for the same. RCCG has consistently ove the years shown trememdous growth, which shows that they must be doing something right.

I can bet however that the people who are advocating using the church funds for social empowerment are themsleves clueless about what RCCG does for those in need. So until you know for sure that they shy away from socila responsibility, please SHUT UP

The introduction of bulk SMS is a development that would be of benefit to most businesess and would be very useful in keeping in touch with existing customers. however, when it is used to reach out to prospective clients, it is most effective only when a properly selected database is employed.

Is it possible to get a target-specific database from telecoms companies or how else can one accomplish the task of aquiring a database of their target audience?

Not cool.
Nairaland GeneralRe: *Nairalanders Should Meet Offline* by knzguru(op): 12:51am On Dec 03, 2007
@ Mc

Bros i totally understand how a a few false starts might have discouraged a lot of people from having anything to do with discussing a NAIRALAND party but i think we should just keep a POSITIVE and OPEN mind. That way we'll be able to think this thru properly and give it our best shot.

, and dreams do come true in NIGERIA you just have to be able to see opportunities, think deeply and work hard enough to generate results from them.
Nairaland GeneralRe: *Nairalanders Should Meet Offline* by knzguru(op): 12:15am On Dec 03, 2007
@ migines smiley

Planning my friend, thats the key. If we can come up with a fool-proof plan for a hit event and generate enough publicity both within the forum and offline then we're good to go.

Truth is once you've got a really tight venue and great publicity then you're 80% done. Entertainment, refreshments and the like can be easily sorted out. You simply wouldn't believe the kind of contacts i can pull in to make this work.

So you coming? would like to have peeps who have displayed a high level of creativity and maturity in the forum and it'd be really cool to have you there

Cheers

(meanwhile, i thot i got rid of you on another thread)

Hello Everyone.

The last Project Management Seminar was held on the 24th of November 2007.

Participants were able to gain substantial knowledge on the concept of Project Management and its applicability and relevance to almost every area of industry.

The next OPEN-DOOR sesssion would hold sometime this December 2007.

Please keep your ears to the ground as I'll be keeping you posted via this thread.

Cheers
Nairaland GeneralRe: *Nairalanders Should Meet Offline* by knzguru(op): 10:12pm On Dec 02, 2007
As i mentioned earlier other threads that tried to discuss this ended up without results so i believe taking this offline would make all the difference.

Personally i know there quite a few nairalanders i'll like to meet and, after numerous nairalanders that i have bumped into offline, i know i'm not alone.

Already there are those on whom i've bounced bounced off the idea and are eager to see the party happen.

Anyway, in order to make sure that our time is used most effectively this meeting would be short (45 mins max) and would be held at an office on allen avenue (i'll only be giving details to those who send an email) and the some issues to be discussed include:

entertainment
date and time
venue
publicity

So people lets start thinking about how we can make this the most fun event ever.
