Phones › Smartphone For Everyone: Itelmobile To The Rescue by Kodjattson(op): 10:02am On Jan 25, 2019 |
To start with I LIKE ANDROID SMARTPHONES. I like the myriad of software and hardware customization options. I like the knowledge that a slew of such mini-supercomputers that are making life easier are churned out daily by OEMs is quite fascinating. There is absolutely no limit to what we can do with them and how better they can get... While some of these devices have compelling cameras that can make you go from a 2 to 10 beauty-wise, beautiful aesthetics that make you want to just raise them for the world to see and strong batteries that make you glued to them all day long, I must admit, when friends and family ask me what phone to buy, I tend to quickly recommend an itel smartphone over any other Android device. Why? It’s simple. I get a fantastically priced bargain for headline-grabbing flagships that ticks off the right boxes in long-last battery capacity, amazing camera, facial recognition system, fingerprint sensor and speedy processors over its counterparts in the noisy Android market, that might keep someone like me or you awake at night, lamenting what could have been achieved with the hundreds of thousands of naira you just put down to purchase these counterparts. The first time I got my itel P32 smartphone, I remember my friend called the phone “ pretty much perfect”. Well, maybe not in all its entirety, but… There is an absolute unique user experience you get when you use an itel smartphone, perhaps these reasons that I had to discover by myself could help you change ship the next time you want to upgrade to go the itel route. For starters, You won’t have to break the bank to enjoy the latest smartphone technology: itel Mobile has a great track record of pumping out high-quality mid-range smartphones for everyone that are reliable and trendy at a budget-friendly price tag. As a user, you get almost the same package with a high-end smartphone, at an affordable price. For excellent Instagram snaps, you get a 4in1 Big Pixel technology + 13MP on itel Selfies series smartphones that enables crystal-clear photos in low light and brightly lit scenarios. The smartphone also offers a full HD screen display and better build quality. Besides, You never have to worry about your smartphone running out of juice. I use the itel P32, and I can proudly say I enjoy 48 hours of uninterrupted smartphone usage all day on just one single charge. With an itel phone, you leave the power bank and phone charger at home compared to other Android phones that were gotten for so much money but carry around a dead-beat battery. Trust me, you don’t want to be caught up in that mess. Less I forget, the ease of use. Itel smartphones are user-friendly with an OS interface that is intuitive, clean and easy to use. This might not be for everyone, but for someone who is fully interested in getting EXCELLENT VALUE for money when it comes to tech, itel smartphones are truly the best plug. All summed up, I believe Itel mobile has found a way to integrate into our lives to make us productive by creating BEST IN-CLASS SMARTPHONES FOR EVERYONE |

Itel IS making a life... kudos sisiMOJI: We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give”- Winston S. Churchill. On Sunday, 16th December 2018, Santa Claus came in early, bringing in amazing gifts and donations for less privileged children, nursing mothers, widow and widowers in Oke – Eri Community, Oworonshoki Lagos State, as a team of volunteers and staff of Africa’s customer-centric smartphone maker, itel Mobile in conjunction with Lagos food Bank spread love in the community with the campaign theme “LOVE ALWAYS ON”. The CSR campaign train did not conclude its journey in Lagos alone but made impactful stops in other cities from Onitsha, Abuja, Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Kano, and Kaduna and the reception was amazing in every community visited. It is hard to find companies that understand the importance of giving back to the communities that define them. For itel Mobile, the essence of taking a bold initiative to provide infrastructural and basic amenities for the communities surrounding the brand has proven to be a vital aspect of its core values and existence. As a brand that aims to improve the educational and health system in Nigeria as well as fight hunger/poverty, the itel team made donations of over 500 pieces of pens, 500 pieces of school bags, book materials and water bottles, 400 pieces of pencil cases, 1000 pieces of tomato paste, over 80 cartons of noodles, clothes, foodstuffs, toiletries amongst others. Commenting on the brand’s CSR campaigns this Yuletide season, Oke Umurhohwo, itel’s Marketing Communications Manager said: “At itel Mobile, we are proud to be a part of the communities we serve through our involvement in local charities, youth sports, and events that inspire the world. Giving back is an essential part of who we are. We don’t just aim to provide smartphones for everyone but also to grow deeper and wider in community outreach in the coming years, touching over a million lives in 2020”. The LOVE ALWAYS ON CSR campaign train also made stops in the following cities, enriching their lives, and equally putting smiles on their faces, such as: Our Lady of Fatima primary school, Ayingba in Kogi state where pupils were provided with educational materials and a little Xmas party. Also, a visit to Nasarawa Orphanage Home, Kano state on the 15th December 2018 where foodstuffs and gifts items like itel notebooks, Water bottles, Christmas shopping bags were shared.
The children at Christabel Kids British International School Obosi, Anambra State were not left out too on experiencing itel’s love at Christmas. The brand also supported the beauty pageant “ The Humanitarian Queen 2018” at UniZik, Awka, Anambra state.
itel Mobile spreading the love this Christmas season is a life-changing experience for everyone involved in the community outreach, as it is in times like this one starts to tide over the insignificant and immaterial things and appreciate the bigger picture. Nevertheless, It is exciting to see how itel Mobile incorporates Sustainable development goals into its core business strategies, making it a brand that doesn’t just provide smartphones for everyone but also cares deeply for the needs of its consumers and society at large. There is no doubt, these CSR initiatives taken by the brand is yielding results to improve the quality of living for Nigerians, not only in Lagos but across other states in the country. |

Business › Re: Itel Mobile Overtakes Rivals In Market Retail Volume by Kodjattson(m): 12:36pm On Oct 13, 2018 |
Itel just dey break grounds... #JoinandEnjoy kingjizzy2: A recent report from Euromonitor International, based on mobile phones in Nigeria has reflected that one of Transsion Holdings biggest mobile phone maker, itel Mobile passed Samsung, Nokia and Huawei to hold the second position in retail volume with a market share of 25.8% – a commendable feat to crown the brand’s efforts in becoming a top market leader in 2018.
Despite the influx of Chinese manufacturers and domestic players in the business landscape with strong price competition and demand for high quality products, the report revealed that Transsion Holdings still holds the top position with the highest brand market share in the Nigerian mobile phone industry as at the end of August 2018.
With itel’s key interest in focusing on long-lasting battery technology and camera capabilities, this surge in brand’s shipment and market share can be traced back to the manufacturer’s consistent smartphone launch in Q2 and Q3, strong distribution network, availability and variety of affordable feature phones and smartphones, pitted directly against Nokia and Gionee’s portfolio.
More recently, the increasing use of social media and upgrade to smartphones by target market segments especially young consumers due to the economic growth and dependency on internet-enabled services, the report forecast a strong volume growth in smartphone penetration in Nigeria.
Furthermore, following the early and successful passage of the Telecommunication Critical Infrastructure Bill by Nigeria’s National Assembly, competitive pricing among internet service providers is expected to boost internet usage to more affordable internet provision in Nigeria, which is at 47% of the population in 2018.
The Chinese conglomerate, Transsion Holdings has remained a dominant force within the Nigerian mobile phone industry with a retail market share of 75.2% taking an increase from 73 % in 2017. The global brand continues to combine its technological prowess with design and innovation to gain industry attention with products created groundbreaking interactive and immersive consumer experiences. Their continuous success is as a fact of the brand’s carving a niche for itself by creating a variety of smartphones to meet the needs of the diverse income segments of the growing population.
Oke Umurhuhwo, Brand Communication Manager, itel Mobile said the products of the company are unique in the competitive market, adding that trendy, reliable and affordable devices have always been the hallmark for every itel smartphone, with a very strong presence in the feature phones market.
However, as the competition intensifies from new and old competitors, itel Mobile will be faced with never-seen-before competition at the lower brand market with new entrants like TAMBO Mobile.
The underlying question remains, will itel Mobile and Transsion Holdings continue to hold a sustainable position at the top ahead of other smartphone brands? Umurhuhwo said: “Over the years, since its inception, itel Mobile has taken the world by storm with a displayed evidence of strategic communication to meet the needs of its target market, nevertheless it will be interesting to see the brand leverage on its strong growth to implement strategies and overcome the associated negative perceptions and stiff competition.

Phones › Re: Why Every Sensible Nigerian Should Avoid Tecno, Infinix And Itel Brands by Kodjattson(m): 4:59pm On May 23, 2018 |
Have you taken time to re-read your post? I understand your frustrations and anger. However, you need to say what you know NOT what you think. Are you inferring that iTel users or subscribers are those who voted in PMB? Secondly, iTel has more sales in Nigeria than Samsung. Thirdly, Tecno, iTel and Infinix are 'slowly' entering the South African market ... HeyCorleone: The reason why Itel even has customers is because a good majority of Nigerians are inherently stupid. They voted in an illiterate as their President. Why won't they buy Itel?.
Itel can't exist in South Africa. That country has good taste. You can't take a phone with products that degrade in months to SA. They won't approve it.
Nigerians are a fan of mediocrity, that's why Itel is having little sales. |
Phones › Re: Why Every Sensible Nigerian Should Avoid Tecno, Infinix And Itel Brands by Kodjattson(m): 4:06pm On May 23, 2018 |
You sef that put up this post, if we check your phone it will be either of these three brands. You'll come on Nairaland and be making noise... #hiss Be. A. Sensible. Nigerian BadBradley: Transsion Holdings, Perhaps being the only GSM mobile manufacturing company that operates in 3 different brands, Tecno, Itel and infinix in the world, apparently in a bid to have the proverbial nine lives and seemingly seeking to take advantage of the underdevelop world, this company has launched an aggressive market campaign across Africa and other poor region of the world where consumers and experts don't have the expertise to critically appraise its products' features and claims.
It's surprising how the Chinese company failed to make its presence in China its home country with a huge market of over 1.2 billion people but came to Africa whose entire population doesn't quite measure up to China and whose political and economic stability is less predictable than China's.
A company that rarely, if ever, uses the chipset of world leaders like Qualcomm or Exynos on its phones or, the screen protective layer from global standards setter, Corning, or the class leading mobile screen technology like Amoled or LCD 3, it is no wonder no reputable mobile phone website ever lists Tecno, Infinix or Itel amongst items for review.
Worse still this is a brand that can't handle large storage Micro SD card of 64 to 126gb without dragging its fluidity down or shutting down the phone. This is a company that doesn't have its own ecosystem or backup services or cloud storage like other Android manufacturers like LG, Samsung, HTC, Sony, etc
The listed pixel count at the back of camera doesn't reflect the quality expected and non-Adroid models have the exact same UX and UI of clone, fake phones that immitated Nokia Series 30 and 60 phones back in 2005 and 2006 across Africa.
To cap it all up, Tecno which has more customers in Nigeria than the entire population of Ethiopia has chosen to set up a manufacturing plant in Ethiopia while targeting the market here in Nigeria.
So Nigerians will be paying more to get their subpar Tecno, Itel and Infinix phones while indirectly growing the economy of Ethiopia.
Perhaps its battery life is a strong selling point but again, what's the use of a long lasting battery without exciting features to power?

A marketer looks for the best market for his/her products. I once used a Samsung J Prime that CANNOT handle 64GB sd card. So what is your point exactly? The iTel (S42, A44 and A44pro), Tecno (Camon CX and P3), Infinix (Hot S3 and Hot 3LTE) also use the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. Instead of mentioning the reasons why Tecno set up it's manufacturing plant in Ethiopia (instead of Nigeria), you're crying over spilled milk. If these phones are subpar, pleass what is the 'par'? It is evident that you are just seeking cheap popularity and undue attention... BadBradley: Transsion Holdings, Perhaps being the only GSM mobile manufacturing company that operates in 3 different brands, Tecno, Itel and infinix in the world, apparently in a bid to have the proverbial nine lives and seemingly seeking to take advantage of the underdevelop world, this company has launched an aggressive market campaign across Africa and other poor region of the world where consumers and experts don't have the expertise to critically appraise its products' features and claims.

BadBradley. This your post is bad...very BAD. First you insult we the #HardworkingNigerians. Secondly you displayed your critical level of ignorance and ineptitude. MobilityArena does review of smartphones. Several notable sites and blogs also do that. They have NEVER been able to fault the performance of these devices within their category (mid-range smartphones) Now you come around to babble and rant. Get your facts straight. This post smells of pain and frustration. You must be a Samsung fan thus you are trying to kill the market for ITel, Infinix and tecno phones. Samsung is Korean. Is it dominating that market? Apple is American. 70% of its market is outside America The list is endless The fact that ITel, Infinix and tecno phones are flourishing has a strong message. Three things are key for smartphone acquisition: PERFORMANCE. AFFORDABILITY. TECHNOLOGY. Transsion Holdings provide ALL three...
