Programming / Re: Why Most Web Developers Fail by kokabiel(f): 1:23pm On Jun 12, 2012
3 Reasons why Most Web Designers/Developers fail
Poor Knowledge of Design Standards
Design Standards ensure that whatever your put out meets basic Experience needs of your end-users. FORM, FUNCTION and APPROPRIATENESS. Most Nigeria Web Designers/Developers no matter how good they (think) they are have gaps in 1,2 or all 3 areas outline above. It is not a perfect world but you can improve on peoples experience online by at least having a sense of responsibility to Design/Development Standards - they are not there for fashion

Poor Entrepreneurial Skills
This is the Business-side of doing business. Being Creative and good with design/programming & development does not usually mean you are that smart in doing business. Client Relationship Management, Meeting with schedules in due time, Presentations. doing business in a professional manner usually escapes a lot of web designers/developers. It is not a common combo.

Poor Money-management Skills
If you see this field as a business then you must understand that it is a going concern. Most web designers/developers do not, they spend their hard-earned money on gadgets that do not add money to the business. I often meet with some of them at presentations and you cannot help notice that they are Applerised abd Blackberried from head2toe. they have this Blueetooth thing in their ear and a wristwatch that does MP3 and WIFI. you must learn to reinvest in innovation and learning and networking with the right people, because that is what takes you above your peers

Islam for Muslims / Re: Terrorism And Islam by kokabiel(f): 11:56am On Jun 12, 2012
I am still amazed why this myth of Muslim victimization persists till present day -TRUE Muslims all over the world have been victimized on the basis of their religion but hey is that the situation today? WTF!!! who is victimizing Muslims in a Muslim-majority Nation these days, How can you victimize the majority. Islam may preach peace but at every opportunity, majority of Muslims' especially those in Arab nations and closer to their Caucasian brothers (In Africa) openly demonstrate crude violence to their kind and others as well. Islam is by no means peaceful when Prophet Mohamed (PBUH) clearly advocates violence and intolerance. The practice of TERROR as a Nationalistic imperative is only associated with Islam within the past 3 decades - go figure
Religion / Re: Praying For Nigeria's Enemies! By Prince Charles Dickson by kokabiel(f): 1:29pm On Jun 11, 2012
Gods are not in the business of punishing anymore, the Muslims know this very well, Christians are simply ignorant of this
Politics / Re: Boko Haram: ‘why Northern Elements Want Azazi To Fail’ by kokabiel(f): 10:10am On Jun 11, 2012
This is politics for you - It is downright dirty but we need it for democracy to continue. It is not important that the leaders on northern states are uncomfortable with Azazi's comments, what is important is this - what is GEJ's political strategy - BH is a political phenomena with a religious face. do not make the mistake of thinking otherwise

Religion / Re: A Letter From Devil by kokabiel(f): 10:04pm On Jun 10, 2012
It is an unfortunate irony that we (man) fail to recognize our true purpose or understand the agenda being executed for over a millenia. @poster, do you truly understand the meaning of the word DEVIL or you are just like the rest of the myopic populace, trying to grasp what they cannot reach. The DEVIL in its simplest form the base vices of your humanity. it is the resulting chaose from not being able to keep a straight path and falling out of some moral code. SATAN is just a metaphor and LUCIFER an angel by many other names.
Try to focus your last days on this dying world to do some good for yourself if not others and stop peddling mind-numbing pills on nairaland
