Religion / Re: What Occupies The Minds Of Atheists 24/7 by kokabiel(f): 12:55pm On Nov 08, 2012
must we demonstrate so much intellect and ultimately rubbish it with insults? this trend is now second nature to most nairalanders on the religion section and possibly others. it is just sad.

Religion / Re: Theists And Atheists, Please Stop The Insults! by kokabiel(f): 7:11pm On Oct 12, 2012
I understand the OP completely, we are all humans, ensuring the peaceful progress of humanity regardless of the religion, race or philosophy as claimed by all (Christians, Muslims, Atheists, others). When i read such insulting threads, i find it nearly impossible to even begin to agree with some Christians who have engaged in such disgusting behavior.. it is not Christ-like sad

ifeness: I posted a message on an Islamic thread and i got ban. What a religion! Those guys are gonna be backward for eternity! Christians are slightly better.

I did not even say anything wrong. I only said they don't have to read the Koran to be good people.

Abi i said anything wrong? Did i bomb a mosque?

hmmmn like saying that an Atheist should submit himself to a binding/casting session and accept at least one Biblical Truth - why would you not get a BAN, though Christians would rather use Words than Violence
Religion / Re: . by kokabiel(f): 5:06pm On Sep 07, 2012
@frosbel - what does Jesus mean in Matthew 24:34, where he states "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled" it does gives some form of indication, what comes to mind is similar to what Jesus says in Mathew 28: 20 when he says "and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

While I cannot claim any serious knowledge of theology and what-nots, i feel strongly about understanding the literal rightly.
Religion / Re: . by kokabiel(f): 4:43pm On Sep 07, 2012
obadiah777: no such thing my friend. rapture is 'spiritual resurrection'. your spirit will fly into heaven in your body. you will become a heavenly being ( this is your spirit in you will be renewed ). then you will be protected from the tribulation as the cover of the lord will be on you. then after the battle of armageddon in the valley of jehoshaphat ( world war 3 ) when all the world armies would have cancelled each other out. we swoop in for the feast of the lamb, which basically means we will subdue the survivors ( which will be the spiritually dead ) and we will take over the world feed on the flesh of kings ( meaning we will take all the wealth and take to the land jerusalem ) etc etc. let me not go too far or i will lose some of you or some may think i am nuts grin

You cannot discount the possibility that LSD was involved in this visions , ce possible?

Religion / Re: Moderators Please Create A Thread Explaining How To Make Front Page Material! by kokabiel(f): 4:02pm On Sep 07, 2012
@OP perhaps a section for Atheists is not uncalled for. I get a sense that Atheists would rather discuss progressive initiatives instead of God-bashing as they commonly do. The God-obsession is worn-out. Truly there are worthy themes you can discuss on the religion section that will make front-page so long as you are not doing it in an evangelical manner. It is an open secret that there are false prophets (wolves among the sheep) clearly exposing these false MOG for who they are - (from a non-religious stand-point) would make an interesting topic. As soon as it devolves to the existence of God and why he is not doing anything about it, you basically kill the buzz and drop of the frontpage
Celebrities / Re: Chris Brown Hugs And Kisses Rihanna At The MTV MVAs. ~picture~ by kokabiel(f): 3:06pm On Sep 07, 2012
As I have mentioned in an earlier post. this phenomenon is a simple social uprising, it is not that @SEUN is not considerate, he is simply evaluating the risks it exposes his successful business model to. imagine if people started posting P0rn images and videos on facebook... it would amount to a certain risk for the facebook model , loss of potential business partnerships and profits, all due to an aggrieved set of posters who no doubt are part of the contributing success to Nairaland. I believe @SEUN and his MODs need to take this uncomfortable lesson to re-strategize and come up with a plan to turn this negative trend into a profitable channel for business.. every dark cloud has its silver -lining

Islam for Muslims / Re: Directory Of Good Islamic Schools In Nigeria by kokabiel(f): 3:00pm On Sep 07, 2012
@OP. it is a good sign of responsibility to your religious and biological obligations as a parent. kids need a honest outlook in life as they grow up, one that allows them the opportunity learn to become wholesome adults in future. I want to suggest that you take some time out to visit the suggested Islamic Schools for Children and understand the curriculum, the environment and perhaps hear from a parent. this will give you some peace of mind when you finally make that decision.
Education is more than reading books, it is map for maturity of the mind as well as a guide for living peaceably with the rest of the world. Shalom

masterpiecer: too many hidden post, am scaredshocked

I am honestly amazed (and disappointed with @MODs and @SEUN) there are literally hundreds of very vain, inane and childish topics that make the frontpage everyday and they stay at the top of your view ensuring that you do not see important,life-changing posts that quickly get hidden and shoved to page 2 or 3 and eventually disappear. They focus all their MOD energies at this errant phenomenon. I think the value system for which thread makes it to Front-page needs to be evaluated. it is usually in typical useless threads that these G-squad come in to throw their cliched responses like "how does that affect the price of ground-cassava" I am even starting to think differently given the MODs penchant for banning all and sundry

Here are typical "bush" threads that MODs seem to love because they attract the likely bush bunch

Religion / Re: The Institution Of Violence In Islam by kokabiel(f): 6:14pm On Aug 15, 2012
@vedaxcool - i get it, you debunk all claims of the OP with clear interpretation of the Quran. but your position is like asking football fans not to judge the performance of the Team based on its results. i don't get it. Islam for all intentions and historical (and present) evidence encourages violence and religious/social intolerance. unfortunately there are a (supposedly) 99% Peaceful Muslims that seem to be absent on this matter. what might be the cause of this
Religion / Re: * by kokabiel(f): 5:56pm On Aug 15, 2012
I think Religion should be taught to all children. (until they are grown-up enough to make a choice if to continue or change course. I prefer Christianity because it is so simple and yet so powerful does not preach race-hating or ethnic intolerance at least not with the zeal and passion one particular Religion does.

Religion / Re: Atheist Defends Islam! by kokabiel(f): 8:44pm On Aug 13, 2012
it is better to concern oneself with contributing positively to humanity than using God or no-God to cause Deep Hatred, Ridicule and ultimately Violence that rings for generations to come. This is what this threat promotes and it is un-Islamic and un-Atheist. but that is just me giving my personal opinion - carry on

@OP nobody is blocking your money, if it were true, they would block your progress in life and your ability to get up when you fall, you made a deal with a dishonest person without being cautious and this is the result. especially a land deal. what you need is an expert (stubborn) lawyer - PEACE

Religion / Re: Some Nairaland Atheists Are The Most Arrogant Cowards Ever! by kokabiel(f): 6:23pm On Aug 12, 2012
@OP is right for the most part - Leaving a lasting positive legacy for Humanity should be the core focus. Anyone who is obsessed with Religion and bases his/her opinions on the basis of Over-zealous, un-intelligent and deeply disturbed individuals or groups of people who choose to interpret a holy-book in a manner that causes harm to general society, should consider joining them, being Religious does not make you Righteous or Morally Upright, it adds nothing but takes away your humanity.

A lot of atheist blame Religion for the ills of the world, it is like Gun Control in the US, Guns don't kill people; people kill people

yabadabado: bros..u dey rob 4 a living ...just asking....why only come get all this years of experience to come write journal like this?
anyway sha....gud job but most of those advice will not be useful when faced with such situation...man by it very nature dey fight hence ..i would expect people to think with what is on ground.

Correct Guy.. when faced with an Armed-Robbery Situation. only one thing can save you - Co-operate like a full-time Mumu and do everything you are asked to do because at that point, you are in the Devil' Claws and Heaven is somehow never in sight when a robbery is taking place. Your Life is worth more than any valuable you think you cannot live without. Armed Robbers know all about what the poster has placed for us to read, they are not as intelligent, they learned from years of experience so all this expo won't help you because they have invigilated many robbery exams and failed many candidates fatally.

Religion / Re: Seun, Stop Bowing To Religious Bigots!!!! Injustice! by kokabiel(f): 6:19pm On Jul 25, 2012
I think Seun is reasonable to the point of protecting his business from any activity he deems detrimental to its financial growth
on the other hand, it is a moderated forum and you (clearly) cannot have literal liberties you get on truly public (non-moderated) forums.

He bears a heavy burden of playing the moral compass each time he has to ban anyone - it must be wearing him down psychologically
